We came here and looked around briefly and found a few items we liked. A woman was there and greeted us along with a younger gentleman in the other room. She let us know we were welcome to take a look around and that she is negotiable on some things. We ended up getting some cute rings for $5 a pop and we all agreed that the woman (Angie I think) was super warm and welcoming. We would come back based on her alone! She was very nice and even told us about another antique-y place near by since we mentioned we were just out shopping at different antique places. When you arrive, they have a door for dropping off donations. We've given them clothes, nick-nacks, paintings, glassware, and more. They take everything with a smile. The staff then refuses to sell it to me, stating they cannot because it's unpriced. This is a terrible policy. If an item is on the floor, it should be available for purchase, and the store should be able to quickly determine a price. By turning customers away, you are losing easy business. Frankly, I know the second I leave, that item will be put back out with some randomly chosen, overpriced number on it anyway. The refusal to make a sale over a simple missing tag shows a serious disregard for customer time and loyalty.

I didn't know what time this Goodwill location would start accepting donations, but when I called, the staff was friendly and helpful. I had never even pulled into the parking lot before. The gentleman that I spoke with told me exactly where to go for a drop off. When I arrived, a gentleman came out of the door almost immediately and explained the donation/tax receipt to me. He took the donations inside and I was gone in less than two minutes. The best part of my visit? When my 15 year old son noticed the sign about employment. He felt good about helping someone less fortunate and started a new 'giveaway bag' as soon as we got home.

Staff were so friendly and helpful; this is really what you want in a shopping experience. I fall at the bottom of their size range and because of my height sometimes have a hard time finding clothes that fit, but I found two beautiful coats (one a Tall!) and an amazing dress, and the total for these three items was less than $130, which is what a new coat might cost at Land's End (the brand of one of the coats I bought here)! I will definitely be back, and will check out the second shop in Rockford when I'm there for the Japanese Gardens. Helpful hint: my GPS told me I had arrived but I didn't see the sign and so circled the building needlessly: it's in the window!
