Last couple times I've dropped off donations I had to walk to the front of the building with my bags and boxes. It used to be convenient to pull up to their parking lot and someone would assist at their loading dock. It's more of a hassle now and the workers aren't as friendly. I also saw a worker pull out a pair of newer athletic shoes out of a bin. I don't want to speculate, but seemed a little fishy. I saw another Donation Center on Artesia Blvd. closer to Hermosa Beach. I may drive a little further the next time to bring donations. read more

This location has gone downhill lately. First, their dressing rooms haven't been available in a while, nor do they have mirrors to see how the clothes on you. Their prices also have steadily increased. I saw several items with original tags in them and the goodwill prices are marked higher! Those items could have been sitting at someone's closet for years! Also, the chain has started doing $2 clothing color tag promos on the weekends, but this location seems to purposely pick a color that has the least amount of items (or they would put diff color tags to most of their clothing days before) so customers could not utilize this promo. The salvation army down the street actually has better color tag promos. You may find some rare treasures here, but they will be priced absurdly. I would try elsewhere. read more

I've dropped off donations twice at this location and both times, I've had great experiences. Maybe the only complaint I have, is that the donation entrance door is around the corner from the parking lot. So what? Right? Well when you have quite of bit bags (heavy bags), you get exhausted and need to make multiple trips back to the car. Haha really nothing to complain about, mostly a comment I guess. In any case, the workers were happy to accept the donations and thanked me while I was leaving. I donated clothes, king size bedspread, sheets, and blankets. Another trip were shoes, towels, and more clothes. Easy access in and out of the parking lot which is located right on a corner. Very nice clean location. read more

About 90% clothing so if you are looking for clothes you might like this location, if you are not looking for clothes this would be a big pass. Very limited selection of non-clothing merchandise. Staff was friendly, prices were ok but not exceptional. read more

Very well organized but must be pretty picked over as there were no color tags left really by Saturday. Everything had been newly stocked. I'd give 3 stars for that if I had not found a dining set priced at 35 bucks though. Might have the odd thing you like here and the selection is good, but there's a Goodwill down the street that is definitely more geared to us career thrifters. read more

This Goodwill is my favorite store. It has the most name brands that you would find in major department stores. Also, the staff is very friendly. I love the convenience of being able to drop off and shop right around the corner. Plenty of parking space and I highly recommend. read more

I've lived in this neighborhood for 30 years. These guys are terrible, rude and quite frankly, I don't understand how they can be in business. I'm In the process of moving and was trying to get rid of some high end Christmas decorations, still in original boxes, for the first time in years I said to my wife, let's go to Goodwill and try them out, maybe they've changed. I asked the guy if he took Christmas decorations and right off the back, he starts ranting and raving and just being a plain ass. brother, I'm just here to donate goods, if you don't want them, that's understandable but why have a attitude? this is consistently happened over the last 30 years. I drove 100 feet down to Salvation Army and as usual, they couldn't have been nicer and more understanding and if they don't accept something, it's always with a smile and a sorry. Would rate my experience a 0 worked at the goodwill Manhattan beach location and they had a store manager from the artesia store redondo beach, here and he sexually harrassed me while we were at work he tried to lock me in the managers office without him and it was only us two that were in the store that night. days continued and he followed me around the store like a freak and acting as if it was ok to disrupt me while working me wherever I went he is tall skinny with brown hair fair pale skin. I find it highly suspicious that literally all the tags are of one or two color, yet the weekly color special is no where to be found. I walked in today (Monday) and was looking through the clothes and noticed every item's tag was orange with a few pink. This week's weekly color special is purple. There was no purple. I've been to this shop a lot in the past and would see all colors usually presented. But today. Nope! Just orange and pink tags. What happened to yellow, blue, green, etc.? I would understand if I went in on a Friday and there were no purple. But even then, you're telling me that everyone has purchased all the purple already?!?! Or did they retag the clothes to another color? Or did they all take out the purple? Not sure. But seems very suspicious and very unethical busines practice if they did. I went to another Goodwill and saw all colors. So what gives?!?! read more

COVID COMPLIANT! Someone at the door takes your temperature before you enter. They make sure that everyone is wearing a mask. All workers are wearing mask and gloves. Plexiglass separation in front of the cash register. Arrows on the floor make sure that everyone is separated and going the same direction. read more

This is my local Goodwill that I donate at, which is very convenient. There's also a Salvation Army one block away which I also go to. The staff is friendly. It's an easy process to bring in your stuff to drop off and get a receipt if you need one for tax deduction write offs. As far as, as a retail store goes, I've not shopped here, but often wonder if I'd ever see some of my old clothes for sale here or not (but I think they take all donations, then send 'em to a main sorting facility to the inspect and then redistribute for resale) read more

staff extremely disrespectful. nobody at register to collect money. when I called later to complain, the lady who answered the phone just laughed at me and called me Larry. when I finally spoke to the assistant manager he said that the store manager is named Larry and likes to prank the staff by calling in pretending to be an unhappy customer. I've had the same relentless problem of coming into this shop and when I go to check out there is nobody to take my money. the fact that the cashier saw me standing there waiting but chose to ignore me further infuriates me. they should just close this store. if the manager thinks his job is playing telephone pranks so that real customers just get laughed at-- how professional can the rest of the staff be? read more

The Artesia Blvd Location used to be my favorite place to donate and shop for over ten years. The store employees were always friendly. I don't donate or shop here anymore because of the extremely rude person taking donations about two months ago and their prices have gone way up. I now donate my items to Salvation Army and Savers and they get my business also. read more

My brother has found some pretty awesome treasures here (SHARK VASE!), so we stopped in. The clothing was very well organized and everything looked clean and in great condition. They had a ton of electronics, books, purses, etc. While I didn't find anything to take home, I would definitely go back. Fairly quiet and good place to shop. No associates are breathing down your throat but they are friendly and still available for assistance. I've found some of my best clothes there, i'm actually wearing pants i found there right now. A bit expensive, but goodwill is like that. They're organized by color, not size, which is not what i prefer. Their clothes are good and i go here often UPDATE: The fitting rooms since the renovations are uncomfortable because people can easily peek over the wall where you change, which makes me uncomfortable. Still good clothes though! read more

Recently remodeled. Store is clean and organized. Staff is friendly. Items can be torn/stained/damaged so like any good thrift store you have to hunt for the gems. Look for the 50% color tags. I have scored some great clothes here! read more

Donation expedition part 2. Harbor Gateway Goodwill was unable to accept all of our items so my wife and I drove West to the Artesia location. Again, I had read some negative reviews about this location and people not being helpful when dropping off donated items but the other location was fine so I had high hopes this location would be similar. The parking lot is rather small but it wasn't very busy around 1:30. The donation clerk was finishing up with a prior order so we started unloading out stuff and waited. He wasn't as outgoing as the b at Harbor Gateway but he was very polite and helped us with our bags as we brought them to the loading area. No hassles about what they will or won't take or about quantities. I believe as long as you're not dumping worthless junk trying to get a write off or acting in an arrogant manner, rarely will anyone hassle you. Sure there are always exceptions but if you treat the people working there with respect, you will USUALLY get that in return. read more

Store is clean but if you're planning on shopping here the prices are retail pricing. I saw $20 price on used Forever 21 shoes. I'm pretty sure I can get them brand new at the store for that price. Will only be here to drop off donations. read more

This thrift store is just meh. 90% of the time I come here, I find nothing. Sometimes they have a few nice sweaters, but other than that, its really just a miss. I also find this store to be a little cluttered. Its hard to walk through the aisles without bumping into the clothes racks or the bins the employees leave around... Definitely not one of my top thrift stores. read more

BEWARE to those of you thinking of donating items here: if you are offered help to get items out of your car by the listless young Hispanic guy with long hair, DO NOT accept his help! Just do it yourself or bring a friend to help you with the heavier items. He "helped" carry an empty piece of carry-on luggage with wheels out of my trunk and handled it as if it weighed 200 lbs and dropped and dragged it along my brand-new bumper before it hit the ground. My bumper now has two scratches on it and I just had it recently replaced and painted after a minor fender bender. SMH. I actually gave them two stars instead of one because of how easily accessible the drop-off donation area is. Next time I'll donate my items elsewhere. read more

As everyone knows, Goodwills and thrift stores are always hit and miss so you can't necessarily write a super solid review. I went in here the other day and scored some cool finds. I came across a brand new KCRW American Apparel shirt as well as some new Old Navy shirts and a brand new Jamaica shirt. The service is as decent as it can be at a second hand shoppe. My absolute FAVORITE thing about Goodwill stores is that they color organize their racks. It shows that they actually are organized instead of throwing items on racks and it makes it less stressful to shop since thrift shopping is already a chore in itself. This place itself doesn't have the best selection, but if you dig deep, you'll find something good. read more

I never leave bad reviews but since I just read that another person had the same complaint 19 days ago at the same location (Artesia Blvd) I thought this may very well be the same employee and sadly he is costing Goodwill good business. We recently moved from Indiana to California. I had serval boxes of clothes to donate, all gently used and in great condition. The man accepting donations was extremely rude and seemed very irritated that people were donating anything at all. He accepted one box of clothing, and one small box of shoes. However he rudely told me he could accept no more boxes (I only had one more) and that I would need to come back the next morning if I wanted to donate. I left and went over to the Salvation Army the were so friendly. I will be doing all future donations there. read more

This place is a great place to donate your old clothes, toys, and other items, but not a great place to shop. It is very small and as soon as you walk in you could smell the odor and the stuffiness. I do not purchase from here, but I do donate my clothes here since they are very fast and they give you a receipt. read more

I had some difficulty locating the store since my GPS and my phone had conflicting directions. After finding it, I was a little disappointed, but as I continued my hunt, I did find some decent treasures that made it worth the trip to RB...Thought it odd that they do not allow you to plug in the electronics...coming from LA, I am not going to chance it and have to come back to return...other than those issues....the ASM, Christina, is super amazing, she was patient, (I had a lot of stuff...and it was close to closing), she really knows how to work with people. Love this Goodwill! I always manage to find a gem or two here. Today it was a sweet 1980's purse, some random miniature straw hats (what? i love to make things for my poor dog to wear!) and a sweet pair of yellow slingback flats. All for under $10.
