$9.99 for beat up kids tennis shoes!

10/20/2025. Don't shop here. Childens beat up! Old Tennis shoes $9.99! One Beannie baby $5.99. I got a bag of 4 at another location for $8.99. You people have lost your minds.

This week's color special is purple, but the rack was all orange with some pink. Very suspicious of their business practice.

I find it highly suspicious that literally all the tags are of one or two color, yet the weekly color special is no where to be found. I walked in today (Monday) and was looking through the clothes and noticed every item's tag was orange with a few pink. This week's weekly color special is purple. There was no purple. I've been to this shop a lot in the past and would see all colors usually presented. But today. Nope! Just orange and pink tags. What happened to yellow, blue, green, etc.? I would understand if I went in on a Friday and there were no purple. But even then, you're telling me that everyone has purchased all the purple already?!?! Or did they retag the clothes to another color? Or did they all take out the purple? Not sure. But seems very suspicious and very unethical busines practice if they did. I went to another Goodwill and saw all colors. So what gives?!?!

Was shopping for a vase for birthday flowers for a friend. A vase identical to this one was $6.99; ridiculous. I walked a block to the Salvation Army and paid $1.99 for this one, no tax. What are the employees who price this stuff smoking?

Unfortunately, the checkout experience left me feeling disappointed. A couple prices being adjusted on the spot is understandable, but having tags removed and being quoted significantly higher prices felt uncomfortable and unexpected. One used purse was priced close to (or above) what I could purchase it for new at a regular retail store, and it wasn't a vintage item. It genuinely hurt to leave the items behind because I loved what I found. I just couldn't move forward with pricing that felt inconsistent. I hope the shop can work toward more transparent pricing, as it really is a lovely space with so much potential.

They have tons of a little bit of everything. They have tons of women's clothing, tons of men's clothing, tons of T-shirts, and a whole lot of shoes. Really! A lot of shoes! The store is what I would say is a step above shopping at a thrift store. What they do here is, offer the best of the best of vintage clothing. So, when you go in here, you know you're going to find high-quality items. This is not to say that they're cheap. For some, their prices may be considered a little bit high. But, again, what you're getting is the best of the best of vintage clothing, and sometimes you have to pay for that privilege. Depending on what you're looking for, this store may very well have it. From my experience, this store is most commonly geared towards a younger audience. They have tons of T-shirts, jeans, and a lot of stuff that could be considered on the more casual side of the picture. For example, when I shop a vintage store, I'm commonly looking men's sport coats and suits, and stuff along that line. They really don't have a good selection of these items. This is just something to keep in mind if you're looking for that kind of thing. But, on the other hand, if you're looking for all of the more casual style of clothing, they have a lot of it. Located on Hawthorne Boulevard, this store is fairly easy to find. They have a parking lot in the front and the rear, which sometimes can become kind of full. So, you may have to park on the street. This is because of the fact this store is a very popular shop. A lot of people come here, particularly on the weekends. And, when they have their sales, forget about it. The store is packed. One way or the other, if you're looking for that vintage piece of clothing, that really cool something, that T-shirt that you've been looking for forever, that pair of really cool shoes, or whatever else, this may be your place to find it.

Thus she can stop into any close Goodwill location, donate, and then stop into the adjoining thrift retail store to do a little shopping. There is a QR code to scan, to automatically generate a tax receipt for the donation. Unfortunately, the first step of creating an account via an email never worked, so gave up to try again later. Nevertheless, it was a good stop, where she bought a dress for herself and one for her mom. The store was well staffed with helpful associates. I usually peruse the used records, books, and toy section...not a great selection at this store, but probably a good thing for me personally, since I don't really have the space.

As can be expected, this thrift store offers all of the things you would expect to find: clothing, shoes, books, records, toys, kitchenware, electronic items, and pretty much everything else you can think of. Plus, they are constantly stocking new items, so every time you go in to this business you're guaranteed to see something new. I know a lot of people talk about the prices at this thrift store. For pretty much all of the items I find them to be very reasonable. In fact, you can truly find some one of a kind items for incredible prices. In terms of the clothing, yes, they are a bit high in their pricing compared to other thrift store chains. For some people, they may not want to spend $12.00 to $20.00 for say a used shirt. Though this is not always the case, a lot of their clothing is fairly expensive. This is just something to keep in mind if you haven't been here before. If you're going to be shopping for clothing at Savers, you've pretty much have got to expect to pay the top dollar for it in terms of the used market. This is a necessarily bad or good, and it isn't a criticism, it's just the way Savers operates. Overall, this is a truly good shop. I can't say enough about this place and the staff here are always super nice and friendly. Overall, it's one of my favorite places to thrift. You never know what you're going to find. Over the past year, l've noticed a big improvement in how things are run, and I truly think the new store manager deserves credit for that. In previous years, when I brought in clothes to sell, my experiences with some of the buyers felt very unprofessional, in fact I had multiple bad experiences with one of the female buyers that I notice still works there. She was very rude and condescending and now when I come in to sell I specifically don't want her to attend me. However, this year has been a completely different story. The newer buyers seem much better trained, more organized, respectful, and clear in how they take care of their customers. The whole process feels smoother and more customer-focused now, which makes a huge difference. In fact, today I had a question about the pricing of some of my items and the new store manager was very helpful and I left feeling very happy! Because of these positive changes, I actually look forward to bringing items in again, and I feel more confident in the process when working with the newer staff. So, there are definitely trendier items here and clothes are organized based on different trends as well (Y2K, designer, vintage, etc). I like the openness and brightness of the store. It resembles its other location in LA. I like that the racks aren't overcrowded with too many items so you can actually slide the coat hangers and look at the items. I got 2 jackets and culotte pants from here. Each were $12.99. The store was very nicely organized and even had an armchair to lounge on. The shoes were in good condition. The bad: I saw several tops with holes, snags or frayed fabric. They don't have healthcare worker discounts like the thrift shop across the street has. The interesting: You can bring in 5 items at a time in the fitting room. One of the workers at the register was on her phone a lot but perhaps she was looking up values/prices of the clothes she was labeling? They do buy clothes here.
