My husband used to be loyal to Midas for oil changes and brake work, but during his last visit, they told him he needed new sway bar links to fix a popping sound when backing up or turning. They quoted him **$800**, which seemed outrageous. I suggested he call Brakes for Less, who quoted **$200** instead. But when he brought the car in, they actually checked it out and said the sway bar links were totally fine. They investigated further and found that **Midas hadn't tightened the brake calipers properly**, which was causing the noise. Brakes for Less fixed the issue and only charged us for the additional services we *asked* for--an oil line flush and brake fluid. That's it. The inspection reports they send to my phone are always clear and have photos to show me what they're talking about. I have taken my car here for oil changes, tire rotations, flat tires, problems with the fuel tank vapor line (mice chewed a hole in it), new tire pressure sensors (my car has over 240K miles on it), cooling system service, new brakes, and gotten the A/C fixed. I have never felt that they were ripping me off. They've never tried to get me to have something done that I really didn't need. I am very happy with them. Highly recommend.

They told me it was a speed sensor the price out the door was $144. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Now the other day the check engine light came on again. Never had problems with my vehicle before. I take very good care of my vehicle yes things break and need to be fixed that's everyday maintenance of course. But this was a little odd now since the check engine light is on again in such short period of time so I brought it back. They told me it was a different problem they think it could be the coil pack or it could need new spark plugs which I just put in 20,000 miles ago and they are platinum spark plugs that are supposed to last 100,000 miles they also told me I needed a transmission flush that I did only about 10,000 Mi ago and I needed stutter guard for my vehicle out the door it would have been over $550. I basically told them to take a walk. I used to go to this place all the time but it has changed names from Kestner Auto to now Rev Auto. They seem to hire all new people and very young kids not there's anything wrong with hiring young kids but they seem to be guessing on what may be wrong with the vehicle as people pay good money to fix it and the problem are not always what they are claiming. If you bring your car in there to get service don't expect to get it serviced the same day it usually takes a good 24 hours for them to even look at it if you're lucky. Oh yes I decided to change the spark plugs myself for $20 and that fixed my problem they wanted to do it for $550 and it wasn't even all the problems they all claimed it was. I would not recommend this mechanic shop.
