My family has used Mr. Tire for years, and as an older guy who regularly purchases vouchers on Groupon with absolutely great success I was completely shocked to hear the manager of Mr. Tire in Dublin, OH, one David Roberts, refer to a very pleasant Indian woman who was simply questioning his tire pricing as "the Indian Tesla b*tch" to a young employee. (I was sitting in an area of the lobby where they couldn't see me, and they likely thought nobody was there.) I purchased an oil change/tire rotation Groupon for $69.99 but quickly learned that THIS particular location treats you VERY differently if you are using a Groupon. They literally treat you like you are on welfare! Someone from the bay area asked the guy at the desk about me and he said "he's using a Groupon." Then the guy made some distasteful remark about Groupon and the desk guy agreed that they were "a pain." Talk about insulting you! All Mr. Tire advertising says you do not need an appointment. Yesterday I changed my schedule and drove the 15 minutes to get there mid-afternoon. When they realized that I was using a Groupon they told me that I either had to make an appointment or wait 2 to 3 hours for service. So I made an appointment for 3:30PM today and showed up at 3:20PM and began waiting in the lobby area. First they told me that I would be responsible for about $23 in additional fees. (It's $6.16 at Valvoline.) Next a young man came out and informed me that they would not do the tire rotation on my car because they felt it could not be put on a lift (even though it was on a lift all day Monday getting the entire exhaust rebuilt.) The foul language, cussing and screaming in the bay area was a show in itself. The pleasant Indian woman with the Tesla was being targeted. The manager walked in and asked the young employee "What's up with the Indian Tesla b----?" and he replied "She thinks she can find a better price elsewhere." to which the manager asked "Is the old tire back on the car?" to which the employee replied "Yes." and the store manager then said "just roll it out of the bay and leave it running. Let her figure it out." About 10 minutes later, after I had been waiting nearly an hour and a half on the SECOND day WITH an appointment for a basic oil change, store manager (sic) David Roberts walked into the lobby area and said to me "Do you want to keep waiting, Slick, or do you want to reschedule?" I laughed a little and said "How much longer do I have to wait?" And right about there is where I had had enough of this incompetent racist clown who calls himself a 'store manager'. I suddenly changed and told him that I did not want to wait and I did not want to reschedule and that I wanted rather to cancel the whole thing and obtain a refund. (NOTE that even though all sales are final and there are NO REFUNDS on Groupon purchases, Groupon has already given me a full refund here based on the unacceptable conduct of this merchant.) As he was standing there blaming ME for why we were on day 2 and they still couldn't manage to change the oil in my car, the pleasant Indian lady walked in and asked something about why her car was just sitting out in the middle of the parking lot running and the manager said that he did not know why. Well, I spoke up right there and then. I told her what the manager had called her and had JUST told the employees to do with her car, and everything blew up from there. He did NOTHING to deescalate and EVERYTHING to inflame. (SMILING defiantly at people who catch you in a lie is both insulting and inflaming.) SUDDENLY the 'manager' - who DESPERATELY wanted me to shut up about what I had heard - called the police! The pleasant Indian lady left upset and I left upset. An hour later I received a call from Dublin police telling me that I am never to go to Mr. Tire again. To try to cover for what he has done, the incompetent racist 'store manager' tried to use the law to settle his arguments. Well, now he gets to deal with the truth and the facts on the world stage. Corporate will be hearing from me AFTER I make sure that this insulting racist attack clown and terribly insulting service debacle are well-documented. What Mr. Tire allowed racist clown David Roberts to do to two of their older customers today, who both left without buying anything AFTER agreeing to make a purchase from Mr. Tire, must be addressed by Mr. Tire. It is worth noting that as I was leaving I found my car left running in the parking lot with no explanation. If you are not giving them money, they do not even have the decency to give you your keys back like professional service centers. They leave your car unsecured in the parking lot and kick you out like incompetent children. For the record: I am a 64 year old white ordained minister who has never been 'trespassed' from anywhere in my life. If David Roberts does not agree with the things that I have reported here and would like me to shut up - he is more than welcomed to call the police again. read more

Wow, this place used to be my go to service center. They have lost me as a customer, I won't ever come here again. First my tire service was promised by 2 on Saturday. I don't get my car till 3 on Monday. My phone quote for 4 tires out the door was $993. Show up and the invoice was for $1137. (Yes mounting, balance, disposal, taxes was all in the phone quote). They said the balance was a mail in rebate. I'm like, that should had been disclosed and not dropped after the service was done. Sad, this place used to be really good. read more

The staff is so kind and went out of their way to make sure I understood everything they were doing. They also fit me in on a holiday weekend and got the service done in just a few hours. Can't speak highly enough of them. They have my recommendation always. read more

Note, they are open during COVID-19. I came in for an oil change and received excellent service. They sanitize/ clean everything between each customer (keys, card reader, coffee pot, literally everything). I used to take my cars here before I moved. I used to think they were friendly and decent people. Quite frankly, if I could give this place negative stars, I would, for lying and complete lack of trustworthiness. My car had a serious AC leak, which these guys said they tried to find but couldn't, multiple times over multiple months. In addition, I took my car to them for a final checkup before moving to a different state. They said that everything looked good, and nothing needed to be done. When I took my car to another shop after moving, I was shown that all of my tires needed to be replaced urgently, my brake pads needed replacing and my wheels needed to be realigned pretty badly. Today, my AC ran out of coolant, so I took it into a different shop from before. They said the leak was extremely obvious and easy to spot, but due to lack of service this entire time, could lead to serious damage. read more

Abysmal every step of the way. Would give zero stars, if possible. 1. No one at location when I arrived for 8AM appointment, despite signage saying they open at 7:30. 2. One person arrived at 8:15. No apology or acknowledgment of waiting customers. Replied "I don't know, 2 hours, looks like I'm the only one here" when asked how long the service would take. 3. I returned after 2.25 hours. There were more employees then. But no one acknowledged me as I stood by the customer service desk despite an employee coming in the room twice to empty the trash. So, I left again. 4. I returned to pick up my car after 3.75 hours (they called my husband to let him know it was done at the 3.5 hour point. 5. I checked each tire 3 out of 4 rims were significantly dinged/scratched. I brought this to the attention of the mechanic (same person that I initially dropped it off to). He initially tried to say they weren't scratches, just residue from putting the tires on. But that wasn't the case, I showed that they clearly were scratches/dings. Then, he replied that they couldn't have come from them because "the tire change equipment is plastic". I ensured him that there was no chance those marks were on the 3 rims prior to me bringing it in. He said that I could "file a claim" (but didn't provide any information about how to do). He offered to take $100 off, but I declined. read more

Our service was incredible! Roy (the store manager) helped us personally. I had made a mistake working under the engine, a mistake that could have cost us a lot of money. The guys at Mr. Tire took a look, fixed the problem and set me up for the future as well. I was so appreciative and was back on the road in an hour. Like I said, I was at their mercy and they could have charged me an arm and a leg. You'll have a hard time finding better people than these guys. 100% recommend, will be back! read more

I did some research on tires and prices and found this place to have the best value for a pair of Yokohama tires to match the good ones on my mother-in-law's van. Had her call and set up an appointment for herself with a price quote I got online for those tires. She even told them which tires she wanted. Upon arrival, they tell her they don't have those in stock and try to sell her some tires that are $30/each more expensive. No thanks. What's the point of an appointment for specific tires if you don't order them and have them in stock for the appointment?? Sounds like they were trying to rip her off. Also, she's in a wheelchair and it's hard to get in and out of her van, which is why she scheduled an appointment with the requested tires so she could avoid multiple trips. What a shame, I read reviews and thought this would be a good place. Evidently not. read more

Roy Fleshman was courteous and friendly. He effectively balanced answering phones, manned the front desk, waited on customers and quickly serviced cars. I observed him thoughtfully refer a couple from out of town to another provider when he didn't have the tire they needed because he was concerned the tire wouldn't hold up for their drive home. As for me, the nail in my tire hadn't pushed through so he didn't charge me for his time or service. So, if you need help with your tires stop by Mr. Tire in Dublin and speak to Roy. You might have to wait since the store is understaffed but you'll receive friendly, honest service! read more

We were stranded on the side of the road with a busted tire in New Year's Day. I had my three kids and my dog with me. Apparently my stupid Hyundai needs "special order" tires that just about no one stocks. Not only did this Mr Tire in Dublin, OH have our tire in stock, but they were also able to replace it for us just before closing on New Year's Day. They were incredibly nice and saved us from having to stay overnight in Columbus (we were in the middle of a cross country drive to NY)! These guys are the best car place I have ever dealt with (and I have had some real clunkers in my life). Highly, highly recommend them!! read more

Don't take your Subaru to this place. I took my 01 Subaru Outback in for for maintenance. They told me I had a bad oil leak and that my oil pan needed a new gasket. I knew about Outback oil leaks and asked them to check the Oil Separator Plate on the back of the engine. Their reply was "Oil. Separator. Plate. ?? No, it's not that." So I trust them and let them fix the gasket on the oil pan. After I get home I do some interweb research. The Subaru Outback does not even have a gasket on the oil pan, but they insisted on dropping the engine and fixing it. The car still leaks oil, and an independent shop told me it was, in fact, the oil separator plate. Can I have my money back? EDIT: July13, 2015. Oil continued to leak from my subaru after the fix. I took it back to the mechanic that specializes in subarus. Turns out that my oil pan was leaking because Mr. Tire tried to use a cork gasket on the oil pan which they then over torqued. As mentioned above, there is no oil pan gasket. The over torquing caused bends in oil pan itself which is where the oil was leaking from. DON'T TAKE YOUR SUBARU HERE UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. read more

Another great experience at Mr Tire! Ran over something on Frantz and slashed my back tire. My tire was pretty new just bought in July so was bummed it was damaged it needed replaced. Not only did Mr Tire take me in right away they looked up my account and found I had the insurance on the tires so ended up costing 1/2 of what I expected! Great experience! read more

Explained my situation and the guys offered me just the tires I would need to cinch the deal without spending an arm and leg. Didn't try to sell me a lot of extras and the price quoted was all inclusive. No separate charges for valve stems or installation. Bit of a wait but the savings were worth it. read more

This was the worst customer service possible. Tim and Roy were rude, dishonest, and unorganized. I called before bringing in my car to make sure they would get to it and Tim said bring it in. I dropped off my car at 9am on a Saturday for a 10 minute tire repair. Tim again said they would definitely get to it. I called at 2pm for an update and they said they were going to get to it. I went back at 5pm and found 4 workers sitting around, no cars in the bay, and only my car sitting in the lot, untouched. I took it down the road right after and they fixed it in 10 minutes, and they were actually nice. Do not go here, the place is a dump, the people are rude, and they won't help you. read more

I had a nail in my tire that was making it leak air slowly. I was having to fill it with air twice a month and wanted to bring it in to get patched or replaced. I called ahead to make an appointment and they got me in the next day, Friday. I went in at my appointment time and had to wait a while for the manager to come to the front desk and help the guy in front of me. He kept going on about the managers specials they were having. It was kind of weird that the prices were not transparent and seemed arbitrary based on the mood of the manager. When he finally assisted me I was told that he did not have record of my appointment. I told him who I spoke to and when I called. He just said "oh well they must not have written it down. You can wait." I asked how long it would be and was told close to an hour. This was unacceptable to me as I had called and made an appointment specifically so I would not have to wait. I left and went elsewhere. I will never go here again because the management is incredibly unorganized. Additionally the "managers specials" seem a little sketchy to me. Why cant you just have the prices clearly listed? Why do you have to build in room for arbitrary pricing? read more

I had an accident on my way to a conference in Dublin, which damaged my wheels. Mr. Tire was recommended by a person at the conference and was close by. Knowing nothing about them, I took a chance. Tim called suppliers and was able to get me wheels. He also gave me a lift to and from the conference hotel. He explained what they had to do, and did not unnecessarily replace my tires. Horrible experience. They told me they'd call back in five minutes to give me an estimate. Two hours later they did. My truck needed a small part and the total cost should have been about 200 dollars. After they added on shocks and belts ( both are already new) the cost was almost 1000! I declined the estimate and picked up my truck. I think they saw my plates were from out of town and probably wanted to take advantage of me. Last Thursday morning I brought in a tire with a slow leak. There was a nail close too close to the sidewall to repair, so they put on my spare and had the tire on the rim by the time I finished work that day, with a fair price on the tire. All good, except that I had a bumper hitch cover on my SUV when I brought it there in the morning, and it wasn't there when they finished with it (it was absolutely on the car that morning - I've only had the vehicle 3 months, I've never towed anything and the cover has never been removed, and I walked around the rear of the car when I dropped it off that morning, and it was there). They couldn't find it, and Josh, the manager, said he'd have one for me the next day. On Tuesday, I called and spoke with Josh again, who assured me it was being shipped, and he'd let me know when it was in. Today, Saturday, over a week later, I called again, and he said he could get one from a nearby dealer, and it was on my car within two hours. If he can't be honest about ordering a part that probably cost him $10, I'm not going to be trusting them to be honest about a real repair. I've been bringing them vehicles for basic maintenance and repairs for several years, and this will be my last time there. Oh, they had a technician go out to put it on my car, he fussed with it for a few minutes and then went to get someone to help, and I had it on within a minute myself, crawling on the ground under my car wearing a skirt. read more

Poor customer service now, very slow service - my car was 3 hrs late! - trying to upsell me on crap I don't need or didn't ask for, didn't honor my coupon, and most of all, didn't even rotate my tires like they were supposed to! I have had my oil changed here on multiple occasions and recently had new brake pads and rotors put on the front of my vehicle. I like to know the process of car repairs and Roy, the store manager, let me observe and walked me through how to change the brakes/rotors. Much more fun than sitting in the waiting room!
