Who does this?! Thank you cards in the mail after every visit. Amazing.

I drive my vehicles until the wheels fall off. I can't even help it. The thought of letting a vehicle go, just because it may have a little trouble getting around from time to time, does not typically move me to sell. Fun times and good memories always complicate the decision making process! The issue is that I'm also slightly neurotic about safety. As my vehicles age and start to make the sounds that only a well loved car can, a soundtrack creeps into my mind that sings "one of these days you're going to be stuck out in the middle of nowhere--betrayed. You should really get that rattle checked out." Enter, Peter Larson. For as many times as he's fixed a problem, there have been just as many times that he's patiently called me and said, "Jenn, there's nothing wrong with your car. Come pick it up. No charge." He's also down to do this dance with my children's cars- and I so value his integrity! At this point in my relationship with Larson's Automotive, I never worry about being taken advantage of. In fact, I put full trust into his level of care and concern for my safety (and that of my family!) He still calls before he does any repairs to inform me of the cost- which is charming- because he knows I trust him, the price is always fair, and my answer is always, "yes!" Go here if you have a well loved car. I promise you can trust him too.

I needed a mechanic in SA and asked my friends who recommended and said they trust this dude. So I took my car there, had my tranny fluid changed and of course walked out with a list of things that need attention. He walked me out to the garage and showed me the things he was concerned about and helped me prioritize what to get fixed. My car is 10 years old so you expect that. What I didn't expect was receiving a handwritten Thank You card from the owner of the shop. If anyone asks me for a local mechanic this is the dude that I am going to send them to.

I found my new auto repair shop in San Antonio!…read more I requested a quote early on a Tuesday morning for battery install service. I had purchased a replacement battery, but needed install assistance since the battery sits behind my driver side wheel. The owner, Kareem, responded *immediately* with shop location, hours, and the number to reach the shop manager, Jacob, to discuss specifics. Very friendly and engaging interaction with the owner. I gave Jacob a call, and he gave me a very reasonable quote and best time to come in for service. He even gave me knowledgeable recommendations for the best battery to buy for my vehicle, and he was *on-point* because it was the same brand I bought after researching with glowing reviews (Interstate). When I arrived, Jacob not only greeted me kindly but offered water and the TV remote while I waited for my battery to be switched out. I saw a sparkling clean restroom for customers, as well. I was in and out in 30 minutes or less. From the owner to the manager to the pricing to the excellent service (I believe Connor worked on my vehicle) - they have truly earned my business!

Triage was first to reply very early…read morein the morning, which was surprising to me because I had not expected such an early or quick response. Since I knew, in general, what the issue was going to be, I explained the issue, and we made arrangements for me to being my pickup truck in for a free diagnostic. Mind you, the sun hadn't already come up yet, and Triage was open and running already. The auto shop is tucked away off Bitters Rd between several other speciality garages. The waiting area was a clean and friendly with a wide window looking into the garage where you can see the mechanics at work. There were amenities such as bags of snacks, coffee, a water cooler, and a television. They had immediate availability and were quick to confidently diagnose the exact issue showing me the problem. A quote for the part I needed, as well as the removal and replacement of said part, was written up, and the owner offered to drive me to home or work while the repair was performed. I took him up on it, and he's a great guy. Keep in mind, all of this happened before other auto shops even opened for the day! Jacob, the manager and mechanic who worked on my vehicle serviced it promptly, letting me know status periodically. Since it was a reasonably simple repair, Jacob picked me up early that afternoon to take me back to the shop and finalize the service. My pickup was repaired, and I was back on the road before any other auto shops had even answered my Yelp Projects inquiry. The shop I had previously used for service had scheduled me three days out. As someone who does mechanic work myself and relies on my vehicle, I can confidently say Triage's expertise and urgency in getting me back on the road kept my business running with minimum downtime. The price was fantastic on labor too. Very competitive. I will be recommending them in the future for sure!

She has her car towed to Chad Miller Auto Care and calls me to say she needs a new battery and is being quoted $645. I asked for a manager and was informed it was Chad himself I was talking to. I would NOT suggest this mechanic. Mine has an oil leak at least 4 different places haven't been able to figure out. Chad's garage gave me some hope, but they were never able to fix it. I take pretty much all "guarantees" with a grain of salt. "Bring it back"...pffft why would I? You couldn't fix it the First time? More likely, I'll just be dumping more money in sonl you can "half fix it" a 2nd time. One mechanic even told my wife to "hit the dash when her A/C wasn't kicking on...AFTER they fixed it. GTFO... Really!? Cost wasn't exactly on the cheap side...maybe fair, but ONLY if they fix the problem. My impression is they had way more cars than they could handle and were trying to rush them outa there. Fair enough, but I will not be taking either of ours back. Fair warning to those that do.

THAT IS FLAT OUT NOT TRUE! JAY AND HIS MECHANIC ARE NOT…read moreHONEST PEOPLE MORE LIKE DISHONEST! APRIL 2026- I took my 2023 Nissan car into Pan Am Automotive to have Jay put on new Nissan front end brake pads to include the hardware and shave the rotors . What his mechanic ended up doing was giving me generic brake pads not using new hardware and not shaving the rotors so here we are two days later and my front end brakes are still squeaking. I called back Jay on the phone told him that my brakes were still squeaking he stated to come back in he would charge me again just minus the labor he stated that I might need new rotors well clearly he should have done that work from the get-go and we wouldn't be in the situation but he wants to charge twice for brake pads and to put on hardware and rotors that wasn't in the original price. The price I paid was in the ballpark of $325 for him to put on generic brake pads with old hardware and not shaving the rotors if you're going to get a brake job you got to do it the correct way all the way not half ass . Days later I went into the Nissan dealership where the certified Nissan mechanic stated by looking at my brake pads that they were not Nissan brake pads and that the mechanic had used old hardware and did not shave the rotors down like he was supposed to hence the reason why they're still squeaking. So, no, Jay and his mechanic are not honest people.
