Less than one star! This place is full of incompetent workers that can cause a safety concern and hazard for your vehicle on the road. I went there today 7/20 to get a tire patched or plugged, whichever could be done. I called the store and they confirmed they were able to look at my car. I brought it in, they couldn't repair it and didn't have the tire my car required. I declined them putting the spare on because before I arrived there, my tire was holding sufficient air to drive on. They pulled my car up, gave me the wrong keys, which I returned upon noticing, and proceeded to drive off. I made 2 turns of my tire and felt I had a flat so I pulled into the parking lot across the street to find my tire was completely flat. I walked back to be notified the technician pulled the nail out and let me drive off with a tire that was completely flat and wouldn't hold air! This place is a joke! This could've been an accident as I couldn't accelerate due to this tire being completely flat! Safety is my concern for myself and anyone else who attempts to utilize this facility! I will be speaking with management because these technicians weren't trained to simply patch a tire, much less not leave a hole in my tire. Really sad! The notorious hellish streets of New Orleans did significant damage to my front suspension and ruined a tire on my Audi Q5. They were very helpful and went along with me ordering needed parts (they told me if they ordered they had to order OEM). It took about a week to get all the necessary components but they took care to keep the car secure and didn't complain about the car taking up a bay for that time. Once the parts were in they put it all together with two new tires and got me going again. Parts and labor at the dealer would have cost me at least $1500-2000 more than this shop charged and I couldn't be happier with the results! read more

This Goodyear location is the only one I go to get my car serviced. I have never had a bad experience there! Everyone is always very friendly and helpful, and they do great work. Getting a flat fixed (if it's fixable) is free there, and most other services are reasonably priced. Since my work place is close by, the employees of this location have often been able to give me a ride to/from work after I drop the car off with them. They're very accommodating. I recommend this location to anyone that has a car issue they need fixed! I would argue that this is the best Goodyear in the New Orleans area. Another thing I like about Goodyear in general is that they have programs such as the '3-year alignment program', which is a pretty good deal. And, since they have locations all over the country, you can use any programs you might be enrolled in at other states too. read more

Today will be my last service! After years of enjoying fair and reliable service at this store I have made my last stop at this location. Over the summer I had a starter replaced on my vehicle. The final price was more than double the quote the initial gave me. They had no explanation for the dramatic increase in cost. Additionally they caused other electrical issues with the vehicle that I had to leave at their shop for 2 days for them to get a vague idea of the issue and fix. I'm still driving around hoping there isn't a bigger issue. Today I brought a tire in for repair. A tire that could have easily been repaired that said needed replacement. Additionally, the last time I did this song and dance with them I requested to add road hazard and they claim it was not added. So, I'm stuck paying for a full tire instead of a repair or hazard coverage. They will do ANYTHING to sell you a new tire over there. You're lucky when they don't tell you that you need all 4. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL DO NOT GO FOR ALIGNMENT. Service is awful. I brought my car back THREE times and it is still not fixed properly. I brought my 2019 dodge charger r/t to get an alignment after driving through the awful streets of New Orleans. The FIRST time i when i got my car back from the alignment the steering wheel was very noticeably crooked. so i brought it back a SECOND time, when i got it back it was STILL crooked and would STILL consistently pull to the right when i straightened it out. So, third time is the charm right? WRONG!!!! i brought it by a third time. IT IS STILL CROOKED. paid ~120 to have my car aligned and they couldn't do it any of the three times i brought it in. They are located across the street from where I work so I utilized their shuttle service. The shuttle service made it all worth it. When my car was ready, they called before they picked me up. I had a coupon so the oil change cost around $20. They did a brake inspection which they were honest about and informed me about the difference between ceramic and metal. Excellent service. Dave G. was very patient and helpful with fixing my Goodyear account after mounting and balancing 4 Goodyear Assurance tires and a front end alignment. All was good except that if you do not use your Goodyear account for 12 months, the account deactivates and you have to create another account. I was getting my battery tested. From the start the man at the counter was trying to sell me a new battery - even prior to the completion of the diagnostic. I did in fact need a new battery and was given a quote. I said that I wanted to consult with my boyfriend before making a purchase. He asked why I couldn't just buy it and then said, "You said it was your boyfriend - not your husband or your daddy! That's not a healthy relationship." After this I asked for my vehicle and left. On Sunday, 9/6/2020 I went to the Metairie, La Airline location for service. Good year was the only store open on a Sunday in my area. I with I would've waited until Monday to go somewhere else for service. After waiting for 5 hours for front and back wheel brake service and Rotors. I was approached by the service manager, Jared Hirsch. Jared informed me that one of the techniques broke my door handle. Jared then offered to "GLUE" the door handle. I was shocked that he would offer to GLUE a door handle, I declined. Jared then offered to look up an after market door handle, I declined. I informed Jared I was going to get a quote from my vehicle's dealership parts and service department. The following day Monday, 9/7/2020 I returned to Goodyear because my breaks were squealing. Brain informed me it was my heat shield rubbing against rotors. Waited about 30 minutes from them to fix their in proper install. Furthermore I went to Infiniti dealership and requested a quote for my door handle. I then proceeded back to Goodyear, 3rd trip and gave Brain a copy of the quote. Brain informed me the store manager , Richard Riccardi would contact me on Thursday, 9/10. Thursday, 9/10 I didn't receive a phone call. I called the store Saturday, 9/12/2020 and was told by Jared, the service manager that I needed to pay out of pocket first and then come back with the receipt to get paid for damages the store made. Which i think is ridiculous I already sent a couple hundreds of dollars for the bad in proper install and now i have to pay for damage that was caused by Good Year. That is not fair especially during a time where im on a fixed income due to the pandemic. Well, after seeing more than just myself giving this shit hole place zero stars, I know I'm not the only one!! I had a nail in my right rear tire for about a week and I went in a few days ago to see what the cost was to patch it up & they said $14 and some change, which was fine. So I went in this morning to get my tire fixed & waited almost an hour for the guy to come and tell me "well the tire is unpatchable because the nail is right on the edge. But we do have a new one left in stock if you want us to put that on for you!! It's $165 for the tire, $25 for 'road hazard protection', & $25 for installation. With taxes and labor the total will be $237.68, if you want us to put that on right away!!" I told him to put the spare on and they STILL charged me $14 to put on my spare!! What kind of shit is that?!?!?! The tires I have on my car are less than 2 years old and I just didn't believe that I needed a whole new tire for a simple nail.....NO WAY!! So I went on Yelp while I was waiting for them to put the spare on and found a spot a mile away called I-10 TIRES on N. Causeway. If all else failed, I'd planned on buying a used one just in case #BADYear was right. So I went to the other spot right after i left and explained the situation to them and said that I felt they were trying to scam me into buying a new tire and I wanted a 2nd opinion. The guy at I-10 laughed and said "Oh yea, GOODYEAR IS KNOWN FOR DOING THAT!!! I'VE HAD MANY PEOPLE STOP HERE WITH THE SAME SITUATION AS YOU AND FUNNY THEY'VE ALL SAID THEY CAME FROM GOODYEAR!" He looked at my tire and said "We can patch it, NO PROBLEM!! Gimme a sec and my mechanic will do it for you!!" All the while, I got to stay in my car, not having to get out, and they found TWO nails in the tire, patched them up and had me on the road in less than 5 minutes and charged me $18! Well worth it considering i was about to choke someone because of what Goodyear told me!! If you want to get ripped off and pay for nonsense bullshit told to you from Goodyear, then WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! This was a fairly mediocre experience as far as car maintenance goes. I received my usual reminder for an oil change and a coupon for the "Fall Car Care Package" which is an oil change, inspection, tire rotation, etc. I went online and made my appointment for early on a Saturday. Dropping my car off and selecting the services I wanted was no problem. It still took an hour even though they, in the words of the man behind the desk, "had nothing going on," But I'm used to this quarterly service being an hour, so it wasn't a big deal. Lastly, when I went to get my car back I was greeted with the usual quote for additional "recommended" services. Ok, I need new break pads, that's true. But some of the things were odd, like flushing out break fluid, which isn't necessary) or were "preventative" measures. Yes, I have an older vehicle but my millage is super low and I keep up with the regular maintenance. I guess it's just part of the dance when an oil change comes back with a quote for $600 in additional services. read more

I would give this place zero stars and a middle finger if I could. Saw a sign advertising an oil change for $19.95. My light has been on for an oil change and a filter change (what filter I still do not know). I walked in and the guy immediately must have thought "Yay! Nice girl, lets see how much I can fleece her!" He told me my Honda could only take the top shelf version of synthetic oil for $70. LOLZ. I replied "give me my keys back I'm going to Honda". After he consulted with his mechanic he decided I could have the mid blend for $36. Yippee! Then he starts punching up in the computer for the most expensive filter he can find. I asked him if he was even going to look at my car and see what kind of filter the light was asking for. He said no. I laughed and said okay just the oil change - I should have run. When the put my car on the rack where I couldn't just drive away they tried to tell me my car needed new tires and struts (all 4) for a whopping $2,400 and that it was incredibly dangerous for me to be on the road. These people are complete con artists and prey on consumers who aren't well versed in auto repair. Luckily for me my brother was a mechanic at Subaru some years ago. read more

I recently had a flat rear tire, and no means to add air to the tire. I had a towing company (recommended by Goodyear) tow my car to the Goodyear parking lot at night. The manager told me the tire could be patched, and did not need to be replaced. However, he strongly recommended to replace both front tires because he claimed they were unsafe - almost to the metal (which turned out to be completely false, as I had them inspected later that day). Very early the next morning, I called Goodyear to let them know I was on my way to either drop off the keys to the car, or wait while the flat tire was being repaired. The manager told me that there were 2-3 cars ahead of mine, and they wouldn't be able to get to it for a while. Rather than waste the morning at the shop, I dropped off the keys. Less than two hours later, I called to discuss the issue(s) and to get prices. I was quoted $585 to repair the back tire and to replace the two front tires - $40 for the tow, $50 for the patch, and roughly $250 each for the new tires. I immediately thought the quote for the patch was very high, so I told him to hold off on EVERYTHING. He acknowledge my request, and agreed. I wanted to call another shop for a quote - patch & new tires. The other shop told me that it was "criminal" (figure of speech) to charge so much for a plug & patch - they charge $4. Additionally, the pricing on the new tires (which turned out to be unneeded) was much less expensive. I immediately called Goodyear back, and asked them to put the spare tire on the car, and that I would pay the tow & rotation fee when I picked up the car that afternoon. When I arrived at Goodyear, the representative told me that they had done the patch already so I would have to pay for it. I reiterated that I spoke to him in the morning, and instructed him NOT to make any repairs. He refused to waive the charge. They are liars and theives. Consider yourselves warned. read more
