I've been going here for several years ive spent more than enough money from buying new rims and tires on multiple occasions and I was told on this last visit after purchasing rims they recommended an alignment however I did it then while driving I noticed heav vibration after a weak I cam in as I noticed a few of the weights was missing from the balance the fell off . As I said these are new rims I purchased over $1500 spent again they came outside checked and said your front suspension bush are bad not even 20miles of driving since the install. I then asked why wasn't this told to me during the alignment that I ori paid for .. oh we can fix it but you have to be charged for an alignment again as new parts will be installed. I asked why didn't you have me fix it before the alignment was done.. Clearly this was a ripoff but I left and I will never spend nor send anyone anymore to either establishment .. I've bought 3 different sets of new rims and tires here along with tire repairs and align to diff cars . But this type of treatment after an alignment they did is just ridiculous. read more

Do not go here unless you want to be lied to and ripped off! On multiple occasions over the years, the workers and managers at this horrible location have recommended services that my car does not need. Recently, the manager said that my car battery (on a new car) failed the battery test! Luckily I have a battery test and did not fall for his lie. My battery tested perfectly! I attached the video of the test below that my husband did the same day. Also, when checking my dash cam, the footage shows that they never tested the battery!!! Scam artists saw a little bit of rust and lied about the test. On another occasion they said they rotated the tires but they never did. My husband has had similar issues with them lying about services needed. Corporate needs to get involved to see the unethical behavior from this location! read more

I really want to like this Goodyear because it's close to where I live, but service can be very hit-or-miss, especially on the weekends and weeknights: lack of employee proficiency using the outdated computer database system, neglecting to phone customers when vehicle maintenance is finished, and an understaffed front desk or shop have sometimes led to overly long wait times and clunky customer experiences. Customers who decide to wait in the store can expect a TV playing local news, a vending machine, some worn but comfortable conference room chairs, and an Xfinity or Optimum Online wi-fi hotspot, though the nearby McDonalds, CVS, and Acme probably have better food and entertainment options. As for pricing, Goodyear is occasionally the winner when coupons or other promotional discounts are factored in, but its everyday MSRP for services and parts can high compared to other local repair shops. Still lower than dealership prices, of course, but I'd definitely call in advance to get quotes on parts and major repair services. read more

I have a 2003 Chevy venture that I was told was in fixable or not worth fixing and to buy a new van I took the van to this good year and found warren who was willing to give I a shot to see if his mechanic could figure out the check engine light with in hours warren called me and had answers for he called me with any updates and they where able for fix the van and save us form having to buy I new van when prices are so high on new vehicles and used vehicles as well would highly recommend this goodyear read more

NEVER AGAIN. First thing First. I never leave bad reviews but there is always a first time. I have been coming here for years never again. Mess up after Mess up. It started a few years ago, came here to have a puncture repaired, they fixed it took it home the puncture still leaked had to bring it back to have them fix it properly. ]Then I had my brakes done, asked them to balance the front wheels, came to pick the car up, they hadn't balanced the wheels. Had to wait for them to do that. Came in with another puncture, they told me that the puncture was too close to the sidewall and that they couldn't fix it and I needed to buy a new tire. Took it to another tire place and they fixed the puncture. Recently I had a new tire installed they told me that the wheels needed aligning. When they aligned the wheels the steering wheel was off center. Took it back to set the steering on center, told that it was centered. Lo and behold Steering wheel still not centered. Never going back. Will take it some where else and get the problem fixed. read more

Excellent Service and staff. Very customer friendly employees. The store manager Nick and staff employee Russ got me installed 4 new tires at a very competitve price. I had a warranty on my previous goodyear tires, they were worned out after this years crazy snow and they didnot cover any mileage warranty. Still Nick replaced two tires for new ones at half price and rest 2 on discount prices. They know how to satisfy their customers. The owner needs to hire more people. I booked an appointment right after work at 5:30 pm. I even called the place to confirm my appointment in advance. It took them till 7:30 pm to change my oil. It's not the mechanic's fault, he did his job. I recommend for them to either hire more people or call the customers in advance if they are running late or plan on changing appointments. I could of went easily at my lunch break to change the oil quicker and check my car at another place. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change online. The manager called me 30 minutes after I scheduled it and wanted to confirm what time I was going to be over. I ended up bringing my car about 30 minutes earlier than what I scheduled but he was happy to take my car right away. The wait was maximum 1.5 hours but my oil change was done in about 40 minutes which was fantastic. Went in, paid and left. 0 hassle. The person at the counter taking my payment didn't even try to get me to fix other parts of my car or anything. Loved it and would definitely return. read more

I had four tires installed, prices were good. They installed two struts and two strut mounts on my truck, it took some time because the mounts were rusted. Tony and the other mechanic exceeded my expectations and they did it in a timely manner. For other yelp reviewers out there all garages charge a little less then double for their parts they have bills to pay too .If you don't like there prices go to a dealer and pay double. I only leave reviews if I get really stellar service or awful service to the point where I feel I am being scammed. I made an appointment with Goodyear at 8am for my husband. I did this online the night before, I would have taken I to my regular trusted mechanic but my husband works 7 days a week in the summer and we needed fast service. There was a miscommunication and my husband went to the wrong place in the morning but got to Goodyear about 8:15 just for a regular oil change and he was told because he was late there were 2 cars in front of him that didn't have appointments which was fine he was late for whatever reason and should have to wait if he wasn't on time but he was treated in a rude manner by the staff and even thought about leaving because of how rude they acted toward him and if you know my husband he is the nicest person in the world that's why I am with him and he was very patient and understanding just worried about getting to work on time. Finally when they took him in for the oil change it wasn't the 18.95 as advertised it was 50! To make matters worse this is a two year old car and they told us we needed a new battery for 170! When I heard all this from my husband I was so upset not even about the money it was mostly the way he was treated. I called very nicely after the fact and spoke to them about why they thought he needed a new battery and why the oil change price was falsely advertised and the only thing they said was when they tested the battery it came up weak and our particular car a run of the mill Ford Fusion needed a synthetic blend!? Now I have to take this car to my mechanic to make sure what they did was proper because I just do not trust this establishment. My husband never would have even told me about this except for the fact of how rude they were to him. He doesn't deserve that as no one deserves that when you go to an establishment for service and spend your hard earned money. We have learned our lesson and I have personally told them they have lost us as customers because of their rude and shady business practices. I hope this review keeps others from making the same mistake and I hope It lets Goodyear know that this is not tolerated and hopefully they will change how they conduct business. read more

Had an emergency on Saturday, 3/4. Went over to Goodyear in South Plainfield and had the good fortune to be helped by one of their Customer Advisors, Paul Alvarado. Paul made me feel that he was working in MY best interest, and really what more can you ask for? Especially in a time sensitive situation. Great service again. I went in for an oil change, check alignment and have my tire looked at for a leak. They were able to get it done in 2 hours. For a full service shop, they are great. If you're looking for a 20 minute oil change, this place probably wouldn't be good for you. I also like the fact that they check my car over each time I bring it in. Be careful when they offered free tire repair. My front tire had a slow leak and after 30 min they told me it was "unrepair". They intentionally over scrapped the inside tube for patch up and told me it was beyond repair (the tires were 6m old). I believed most customer who brought their cars in will get their dishonest services and their sale "scare tactic" will forced to buy their overpriced tires. read more

I took my Buick Lacrosse to GoodYear with my batteries completely flat and not charging. They replaced the serpentine belt and tensioner. Three days later, the car had the same problem and I took it back. The technician reset the oil change indicator and said he couldn't find any issue. They said they'd need to do a computer diagnostics test and charge me for the test. I said no thanks and took it to a Buick dealer who said the belt tensioner had been installed incorrectly (the bolt had been screwed in cross-threaded !), and both the tensioner and belt had to be replaced again and also a bracket that had broken because the tensioner was not screwed on correctly. I took the matter up with GoodYear corporate and they got the S. Plainfield center to refund their charges for the repair. They did not refund me the extra money Buick charged me for replacing the bracket damaged by the incorrect installation by GoodYear. read more

Beware! They will quote you 155 dollars and the call you up telling you other stuff is wrong and tell you they will fix it all for 800 dollars. Bait and switch is what I call that. When you go down there they have an attitude and won't let you speak. The Mechanic said your not listening to me!! WTF! Customer should be given respect. I will never go there again!!! read more
