"Bought an older Mercedes convertible...because I felt like it", CLK430. Always dealer service all my vehicles, but at 20+ years old, there's options. Initially booked a check up at one of the local Scottsdale dealers, but meh on their response, so skipped. Looking into my Carfax history, the previous owner had used Goody's a lot. Called, and boom--perfect response, merged all files, and great to chat with. Dropped off my CLK for a used car "let's get it up to date" check, and got the call that everything looked fine, did need a few important items along with the B Service (perfect), but otherwise good to go. Even printed a list of "how to" for certain odd items like the convertible hydraulic fluid, and "don't waste money on...". Went to get new tires, etc. after "oh but bring it back for alignment right after, we'll knock that out too!". Love this place, and it will be my only Benz maintenance spot going forward. read more

My car horn on my GLA wasn't working I took it to the dealership and they just disconnected it. When I tried to get it fixed they wanted to charge me $350 just to diagnose it and depending on what was broken it could be an additional $800-$2k. I was recommended to take my car to Goodys. They diagnosed my car, ordered the broken part from LA, and within 24 hours had my car returned to me all for a little bit more than what the simple diagnosis at the dealership would have cost me. This was an amazing experience. I went there trying to find a cover for my gas tank for my GWagon which had a crack in it. Evidently Mercedes doesn't offer just the cover any longer and when I went to my Dealership, was given an $8500 estimate to replace the entire gas tank, which obviously I didn't need. I asked around and was told by multiple people to try Goodies as they specialize in Mercedes. Goodies actually had a cover and I left with a $1300 bill... I was thrilled! Now, what makes this place really special are John and Jim who couldn't be nicer, open/honest and helpful. You can actually have a real, blunt conversation about what you need and they are incredibly helpful. I will not only be back but will tell my friends about them as well. My "logic" was that who better to service my dear Mercedes then the dealer. I finally realized that has been a huge mistake. The Mercedes dealer had a list longer than my arm of "necessary" repairs. I went to Goody's, and Jim the fantastic service advisor said we'll fully evaluate the condition of your car and let you know what you need. 1 hour later, he determined only 4 items needed, at 25% of the cost the dealer wanted, and genuine Mercedes parts too! My car was ready at the end of the day! If you want to spend 3 to 4 times the money, and often receive unnecessary replacement of parts, then please continue to go to the dealer . . . Rude. Condescending and passive aggressive. The owner feels he's superior to everyone and the prices they charge are out of line given the service. There are a ton of places where they'll actually treat you with respect rather than the complete and utter lack of respect that you'll get from "Goody" himself. I've contacted the BBB. This place is somewhere to be avoided at all costs. And their "response" to this review speaks volumes. Not an honest shop. Don't fall for the aww shucks act the owner puts on. Mercedes specialists, we found them after going to the Dealership with windows that wouldn't close and being told they could look at it in about a week. Very easy to recommend this shop. Here's an example of why: My wife's older Mercedes was consistently having issues with the diesel components, leading us to spend about $1,000 in repairs every six months or so. After venting to the owner, he stated: "I know that those diesels have a lot of power, are fun to drive, and can go many miles -- but I will see you many more times as they just have a lot of nagging issues. You might want to think about how much more money you'd like to keep putting into an older car, and evaluate your options." We traded the car in for a newer non-diesel Mercedes and no longer run in to Goody's every six months. My point is -- the owner didn't have to give us that counsel, as it was counter-productive to his shop's profitability. We are loyal customers for life! read more

This is the one of the most competent Mercedes specialist repair shops that I have had my car serviced by. I brought my 2003 Mercedes S430 in for an issue with the Airmatic suspension, and they promptly diagnosed the issue and had it fixed in a very timely manner. I feel the price I was charged for the repair including parts and labor, was reasonable. I had considered a few other Mercedes repair shops, but ultimately found Goody's to give me the most peace of mind in getting an accurate diagnosis and reasonable repair cost. Goody's is a company providing a service to its customers that is rarely found today. They honestly have love for what they do and will do everything it takes to keep you happy even when other shops have caused problems. I have been impressed by them on more than one occasion and their ability to troubleshoot issues with Mercedes Benz vehicles is not surpassed by anyone in my opinion. On more than one occasion they have solved issues that other shops could not and their approach was to simply throw parts at the vehicle. Got quote on repairing my Benz. Asked why installing this particular additional item takes an hour of labor. Guy said that installation takes at least an hour. Confirmed that had not started installation, then authorized installation. Guy thought that I wasn't going to wait in waiting area. Honest and fair pricing and given year of this car, I've never felt they have ever "pushed" repairs just to drive up the bill (which could be easily done). Recently had an issue with the car that involved getting it through emissions. Goody and Jim went the extra mile in getting it resolved - exceeding expectations (and then some) leaving me frankly amazed (blown away) at their customer service. Hard to put in words how happy I am with this business. They know who I am when I come in and am treated very well. Left my 2001 E320 overnight so they could hear a strange noise only when it cold starts. They could find nothing wrong and charged nothing for the service. I don't think this would happen at a MB dealer. Another time I couldn't figure out how to replace a rear tail light. Not only did they show me how but put it in but provided the bulb for again no charge. Honesty and integrity are rare things in the world today.Will continue to use as long as I have a Benz. read more
