I love this itty bitty place. This deli is remarkably clean and organized. Even though they have a lot of product that could easily be cluttered and haphazardly thrown about the area, these guys have gone out of their way to make sure everything is easy to find, including the menu and the options available. The staff is all very attentive. They're crazy BUSY because they're in such high demand, but they're really mindful of customers who go in and out so that no one is forgotten or lost in the crowd. I've always had a good experience coming in. There are places to sit down and eat, but they're a bit squished because the interior of this deli is very small - I wasn't kidding when I said that it's itty bitty. So I wouldn't recommend dining in, but it's still worth coming in and snagging something to go. The bagels are always my go to. They're big, soft, and they have just the right amount of flavor. There's quite the variety without providing an overwhelming amount of options. I definitely recommend the whole grain bagels, either with or without sesame seeds! Try it out - it's totally worth it!

Was in the area getting my car serviced and decided to get some breakfast while waiting. Goodys is tucked away in the corner but it's a nice find. The bagels were fresh and tasty. My bacon egg and cheese were made right. Huge variety of flavors and spreads. Looks like lots of regulars go there which is a very good sign. Overall, a great bagel spot.

Yesterday, I tried Goodys Bagels for the first time! I can't believe I haven't tried this place and I've been living in Glen Cove for the last year and a half. They had so many different types of bagels like colorful ones, whole wheat everything, flagels, and so much more. There is definitely something for everyone here! They also make lunch sandwiches as well as breakfast food! They have so many options for spreads as well. We got a Sausage Egg and Cheese on a whole wheat everything bagel, a plain bagel with vegetable cream cheese, a plain bagel with lox cream cheese, and a chicken Caesar wrap. The cheese pull on the SEC was perfection. That chicken Caesar wrap was sooo good. I wasn't expecting it to be that good from a bagel place! Thank you Peter for helping us choose some items. We will be back soon!

$10 for a cafeteria quality egg sandwich?! The sandwich was flavorless and gross. I'm not sure how you can mess up egg and cheese on a roll.

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

Well, I'm not sure how much the city of Roslyn has to offer though, so maybe it's the place to be as it got pretty packed as the evenings went on. I went once for dinner and had a pretty good shrimp cocktail with large shrimp and bland cocktail sauce, even with the extra horseradish. My seared tuna was overcooked, but had a nice flavor. Seared usually means some type of crusty charred goodness, but this didn't have it. The chai creme brûlée was good, but the sugar wasn't torched properly and didn't have that snap, crackle or pop which is what it's supposed to have. On a second night I went for cocktails which were $20 a pop! Yes, it was a bit pricey, but they were well made... with the exception of not having a luxardo cherry in "The Brooklyn". The staff was friendly and remembered me from the night before. They have a pretty good menu, and also a separate Indian menu and seemed to be a place for some local celebrations going on. Good (not great), pricey and very close to my hotel room!

We were there for a wedding and had gotten to the hotel around 8am to the brides room. The rest of the bridal party went downstairs to check in, because the link sent to our email to check in early was not working for us (it worked for others just not us for some reason). Check in was at 3 but as we had all gotten emails to check in early and couldn't, we went downstairs to check in. We understood that our room would not be ready until 3 but just wanted to pre check in as I've done MANY times before at other hotels. When we went down to the front desk to request this, the young woman working the desk was EXTREMELY rude WITH an attitude telling us that we aren't able to check in because they didn't have rooms yet. I explained that we dont need a room yet but that we got emails to check in early and it didn't work for us and we weren't going to be back until 1am. She responded again rudely telling us we can't check in with an annoyed facial expression. On top of that, we had mini gift bags that all the guests were to receive when they got to the hotel as the hotel had room blocks for the wedding. They were given to the front desk with the request to put them in the rooms for those there for the wedding. We were told this was no problem, as guests were arriving they had the bags behind the desk and started handing out multiples to each person even though the instructions were one per room and to be in the rooms. One of the guests went up to the front desk explaining to the women that they were supposed to be in the rooms already and one per room (again as we were told they can do this earlier in the day). She rudely, with an attitude, told her that "they don't do that" and they'll hand them out when guests are checking in "if they remember". Overall, the main issue was the lack of professionalism from the front desk women who were extremely nasty and miserable.

The first thing that surprised me was how packed the restaurant was on a Monday night. That alone speaks volumes about the quality of the food and service. Despite how busy it was, the staff remained attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout the evening. Everything we ordered was excellent.
