I've been to Goody's several times now to give it a through review, . The store is easily accessible, lots of parking, no long waits. I love that you can see the workers working the dough and glazing them from the counter. The donuts are strong in flavor and appearance and there are lots to choose from. Wow, I haven't reviewed this place?! I remember I did a relay for life cancer walk one day at Bellflower high school. Our team was suppose continuously walk around the football field track for 24 hours straight. We stayed up late and came up here at 3am to buy doughnuts for our team. It was a grand ol' night time adventure that I'll never forget. I got to see how the donut's get glazed it was so awesome! Freshly made donuts taste bomb diggity. I brought my girlfriend back a chocolate donut and she was eating it in her tent trying to stay warm and was saying, "omg this is so good" and she doesn't even like donuts! The funny part was that her friend didn't want any and after hearing us rave about the donuts made her want some. I don't think she ended up having one lol. I also went over here the other day when I was in the area. The guy that works there was awesome. He kept saying Thank you boss, whenever I'd buy more donuts from him. He even threw in a free donut for me and added one half priced so I'd have an even bill of $4! Oh yeah did I mention they have martinelli's apple cider here? That stuff tastes epicly good. Although I've abstained from these greasy/sugary things for a few years, once in a while I need a small fix. Goody's donuts are NOT typically greasy or overly sweet like a lot of shops. I tried the "tiger-tail" and a standard cake and buttermilk to get a feel of Goody's basic dough. I agree that the texture is much more fine than your standard shop and it's puffier. I appreciate seeing the operation right in the open also. I'll be back to pick up more! Update 8/10: Went back for more of the evil, but good stuff (my doctor is going to slap me & yell when he sees my blood work !). Got some donut holes - a dozen for buck! How can you go wrong? Once you try this place, it's the only place for donuts forever! Yea, I'm addict to Goody's Donuts. I would save my change and go to see my donut guy whenever I could. Pom/Tony is offically my donut guy that makes sweet sweet donuts :D Not only the donut but the service is the greatest. He would give me extra every time I go. I love his concept that donuts are only made the same day you order it, he never keeps day-old donuts, unlike other places. I end up spending like an hour or two there talking to him in Thai. (Donut shops are usually run by Cambodian or Laos people, so it's rare for me to find a native fellow to talk to eating my donut ) Price doesn't become a concern when your donuts are as good as his. I recommend all of it, but here's some insight to the donuts. The filling donuts like the custard or jelly, all the donuts are SLICED down the middle instead of piping. You get more for your money with the filling. The donuts are gazed enough so it's not overly sweet but it's great with milk. The tiger tail is something to try. It's fluffy and has a cake layer in the middle that hold it all together. read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid and I'm sure it'll always be number one in my book. A dozen donuts for about $7 which is a little higher than most donut shops but it's definitely worth it. The best donut they have is the chocolate foot. Hilarious and delicious, you can't go wrong with that. Every donut I eat I compare it to Goody's and Goody's always comes out on top. The donuts always taste fresh and the service is always great. I've never had a bad experience here. If you get there right before they close you'll get some extras in your dozen. read more

All I can say is that it was worth the wait. I live about 2 miles from this place and have been waiting to try it out for about 2+ years now, but just never made it over since the hours are so funky. But finally made it over after church to go eat lunch and saw that it was open, so I told my wife, "We're getting donuts FIRST." Glad we did. The guy running the store was awesome. We ordered three donuts equaling $2.80, and he said for another $.20 take any other donut. So we did! We got an extra chocolate sprinkle to go with our buttermilks and the owner was so nice he threw in some donut holes for our daughter. He said she needed her own donut too. The donuts were great! We tried the donut holes immediately out the door and knew that any other donuts will now suffer in comparison. There was a cakey-ness to it that was just great; not just the fluffy, melt in your mouth sugar rush, but a great blend of cake and sugar. Yelped donuts places because I wanted to take donuts to my co-workers for my last day there. So I find this place on yelp and it would only take me slightly off my route to work. I liked the idea of being able to see the donuts being freshly made. It's a little outdated but that's ok. The guy was really nice. Now for the donuts - ummm they were just ok. I ordered two dozens for work and a half a dozen for home. No one at work said anything - like "wow those are good" nothing. I get home my son says "why didn't you go to Randy's or somewhere else" my husband thought they were just ok and felt they were a little doughy. I thought the tiger tail was a little greasy. Finally had a chance to go to Goody donuts this AM. The owner was so nice to my 8 yo! The ones behind the counter rolling out dough n the one frying were also welcoming w their friendly smiles. Based on the yelp reviews, I wanted to try all of them, but decided w apple fritters n tiger tail. Wow! The tiger tail!. My son got his usual donut holes and chocolate donut.
