While in the area, I stopped in here for a donut and coffee and was very pleasantly surprised. This place has excellent quality donuts, reasonable prices, and a very friendly staff. What more could you ask for.

Was traveling through the area in the early morning and had promised my son some doughnuts. None are good in my area, so thought I would try this place. Definitely a simple mom/pop shop. Looking at the doughnuts I was a little worried as they were not the best looking doughnuts, but thought I would try them nonetheless. Well what they lacked perfect appearance they made up for it in taste. The bread was delicious and slightly crisp but with a nice slight chew to it without somehow losing its fluffiness to it! The maple icing one the maple bar was great. It wasn't too maple(yes totally a thing). The glaze on the glaze doughnuts were layered thin with just enough sweetness to them. And of course the chocolate was perfect for any chocolate lover! The product was great and the service also was just as high. They didn't treat us just like a random customer. He spoke to us and wished my daughter the best on her dance adventures! I appreciated that. I am sure if you are a regular there he knows you and your family. I will for sure be recommending this doughnut place to Amy one in the area!

Tasty donuts with a great texture. Friendly service early in the morning as well - helped me with picking out a variety of donuts for my boxes!

Goody's Donuts is a family owned and operated business that's been there for decades. Both husband and wife were working the morning I came in, with some Long John's coming out of the fryer. I was interested in trying both the Thai Tea custard filled donuts and a Tiger Tail without glaze, but they were not available that day. Instead I got an Old Fashioned without glaze, and they threw in a twist without glaze on the house. The batter they use is not inherently sweet, so the non-glazed Old Fashioned was barely sweet. Thus next time I would get a glaze on the Old Fashioned. Yet the non-glazed twist was appropriate for an Asian palate.

Firstly, I love supporting family owned businesses especially when they serve awesome food! I've actually had apple fritters from Goody's a few times when my coworker would bring them into them into the office. Decided to finally stop by since I was heading down to our Irvine office for a meeting. It was slightly before 6 when I pulled into the strip mall and still dark outside. The staff was still working hard to fill the display cabinet and sadly the apple fritters hadn't been made yet. Picked out an assorted dozen to take down for the meeting and told the owner that I would be back later that morning and requested to put aside 5 apple fritters for me. I was paying when the tiger tails had just been fried. There are few things better than freshly fried donuts. Went back to the car and devoured that tiger tail. Came back a few hours later and once again saw an empty display cabinet! The owner reiterated that it was a good thing I asked to put aside the apple fritters as they were sold out! I'd have to say the apple fritters here rank in the top 3 I've ever had. I will definitely be back in the near future!!

Amazing donuts and even better customer service! Tiger tails are the way to go! The owner is so friendly and makes the experience so enjoyable and welcoming, he creates such a great atmosphere.

Ask the Community - Goody's Donuts

What is their business hours? I live 2 min away and never saw the store open. I tried going today, but it was all dark and closed

The hours are 5:30am to 3pm Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.

We went there on Sun, Aug 16 at 11:30am, and they were closed, even though their hours reflected they should be open until 12:30pm. Any idea if they are taking some time off?

I think since Covid-19 they aren’t open on Sundays. No church business so they have been closed.

Does anyone know if they're open right now? I'd like to buy donuts and support during these crazy times.

Yes, they're open. I'm picking some up right now.

    How much dozen cattails?

Tiger Tail (same family) Approx. $2.25 each x 12=$27

Knead Donuts, located in the bustling Cerritos Promenade, has been serving artisan donuts in the city for several years, now. I'm not a big donut guy, saving them for a rare treat or when they're offered at an event. Alas, sometimes, you just gotta satisfy that sweet tooth. Strawberry Crunch- Highly enjoyable, topped with a slice of fresh strawberry, the Strawberry Crunch didn't feel as guilty as a double chocolate covered everything donut. The crumbs sprinkled on top providing texture to the fluffy donut, and I was quite happy with my pick. My initial visit was a 2 years ago. On my more recent occasion, I stopped by to see what's new. Knead closes at 1pm on weekdays (Monday closed, till 9pm Sat & Sun), and being approximately 30 minutes to close, two boxes of assorted donuts were left to choose from. Knead's Dubai Chocolate donut was a whopping $8! I tried to haggle the price down, both individually or with another donut, to no avail. No way was I planning to buy a whole box, either. Prices vary around $6-$8. Aware prices have gone up everywhere, that's still too much, in my summation, for donuts. In addition, not being a big donut guy, I don't foresee being a frequent customer. Knead Donuts does sell beautifully crafted donuts, which would satisfy even the most critical sugar junkie, but with premium pricing attached to each donut, can't justify the money spent, for my needs.

They have a huge selection of donuts, including specialty items like cronuts and mochi donuts. Everything looked so fresh and fluffy. I ended up getting what I came for, a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was huge and kept me full for hours. It tasted freshly made and was soft yet still flaky, just how a croissant should be. Most donut shops nowadays don't seem to make their croissants as flaky. It was also generously filled with ham. Again, a lot of places I've been to lately are pretty stingy with the filling. The croissant was delicious, and I would definitely order it again. One day I'll have to come back and try the donuts. Parking: The shop is located in a large shared shopping-center lot, so parking is usually easy to find. Even during the busy morning rush before school, the line moves quickly because they always have plenty of help. The shop is open 24 hours, and I love that the donuts are made throughout the day. Even when I've stopped by later, they've still tasted fresh! Their ham and cheese croissant sandwich is also really good and makes a great quick breakfast. Overall: This is a reliable neighborhood donut shop that has become part of so many family memories. Made a special trip to this shop after seeing reviews about their delicious apple fritters,…read moreespecially since they're known for making them extra large. I was picking up donuts for a birthday, and this just seemed like the best choice. The donuts I picked out for the birthday person were a bit hit-or-miss since they're pretty particular about donuts. They loved the apple fritters, but not so much the cake donuts or the cronut. They prefer a denser cake donut, though they still said these were good. I tried everything myself and thought they were all great, so it really comes down to personal preference. I got a few cake donuts: the blueberry, pink frosted with sprinkles, and a chocolate cake donut. All the cake donuts were super moist, soft, and cake-like without being overly dense. It reminded me of a cupcake in a donut form. If you prefer a denser cake donut, these may not be for you. Out of the three, the blueberry was by far my favorite. The apple fritters were also delicious. You could actually taste the apples throughout, which I really appreciated. The outside had a nice crispness while the inside stayed soft and tender. I will say they were quite sweet, so I couldn't eat too much of one at a time. The glazed donut was a solid classic. It was lightly glazed, soft, and pillowy. The glazed cronut, however, wasn't quite as impressive. It wasn't the best cronut I've had, but it wasn't the worst either. It was just a bit too doughy and lacked the crisp, flaky texture I was hoping for. Overall, the donuts were very good and reasonably priced. I'll definitely be coming back for the blueberry cake donut and the apple fritters!

Sugar Twist and Original Glazed - Both were a little too thick and bready. It did not have that original raised donut texture that's chewy, soft and fluffy.
