This small family run donut shop has been here for years it seems like some of the younger generation are taking it over slowly....prices have gone up a bit...but they are still fun and friendly. New signage board and new menu of items as well, I don't think they have their giant cinnamon buns anymore....but overall still a nice place to go. OK! So we went to this donut place because my boyfriend was craving some donuts, his favorite donut place is somewhere else, but we wanted to go to somewhere local on the way to Starbucks and dropping off our UPS. We decided to go to this one right on the way. And I was happily surprised. So we got a 12 dozen, so at least they gave us some opportunity to try out the other donuts. But I will have to say that I am so excited because I've gone to a different local donuts spots, and not many of them have the ham and cheese, croissant, where it's actually baked in the croissant. I don't like where it's the sandwich. Because this just taste different. 10 out of 10, the croissant was also even very heavy and the croissant itself was very fluffy. I would definitely go again and you would have to try this. I also have to say I'm surprised about their donuts. Because some donuts can be OK, but these were actually very good. I prefer not to have a very thick icing just because it's too sweet, but my boyfriend actually really liked it. I also have to say that one of the cronut that we got were like very juicy. And the regular donut was very fluffy. I will also have to say you have to try out there like cinnamon donut cake donut it taste like a true!! Definitely definitely recommend. I have seen that some of the reviews, say that they were rude. But I guess I will have to see, I don't think that they were rude at all. I think that they were nice. This is the second time it happened, luckily it won't happen again since this was my visit there. I resent that if I'm there first, that feel it's okay to help someone with a smaller order. Yes his coffee was less than my 'massive' 2 dozen donuts. But if I come in later, I expect to get helped after whoever is ahead of me. Definitely one of the most underrated donut shops in this area. I've been sampling a few different places now that I've switched to remote work. (Rainbow Donuts 0/5 Stars, The Donut Place 3/5) but this donut shot is 5/5. This shop is a no-frills donut shop that nails it on execution. All their donuts are pillow soft. This morning I ate a day-old from this place and it was still remarkably soft. It was softer then most same-day donuts from the other shops in the area. The custard and jelly fillings were generous and had a good consistency. The chocolate taste like chocolate rather then just chocolate colored sugar. The only knock i could give it was that I wish there was more frosting on the sprinkled donuts. All in all, this is a great place if you are looking for solid old fashioned donuts. They are a traditional donut shop (no crazy gourmet flavors) but have a good variety of choices. I settled on my old standby, a maple bar, as well as a white chocolate glazed donut. Both were as fresh as you can expect, light and soft, with the icing being sweet yet not overpoweringly so. The service is swift and pleasant and prices here are fantastic - if you've ever paid over $3 at a gourmet donut shop it's refreshing to come to a place like this and pay under a dollar for a perfect donut. There are 4 or 5 small tables inside, all of which were occupied by single seniors who were intently watching Price Is Right on the television mounted on the wall. It gets a tad busy with regulars and business folks before they head to work. The doughnuts are ok but its the harder to find items that make me keep coming back. $1 will get you a dozen doughnut holes which are not too sweet and very light & airy. They have bearclaws, cream cheese/jam pastries and ham & cheese crossiants (which personally are awesome when you take it back home and pop them back into the toaster oven.) The one item which I have actually came back for and they too are a mere buck: cinnamon rolls. Think Cinnabon size but less butter and a tad more stable. If you nuke it for 20 secs, the glaze or frosting (they have both) melt slightly and it sings in your mouth. Since its not uber-buttery like Cinnabon's; it actually feels less guilty too. Double hooray! They're pretty much open 24 hrs since they start baking at 3 am(?) If you buy anything before 5 am, there is a good chance its old. The zebra doughnut (I don't know if that's what it's called, but if you go there and see a striped doughnut and don't automatically know what I'm talking about, I can't help you) is so amazing. I got a serious sugar rush from it. The old-fashioned maple is a crazy departure, which provided some much needed balance after scarfing down that iced treat before. They also sell teas, Del Amo & Pioneer has a flavor and frequency of many asian nations. If you head north you find what is labeled as "Little India." They have some indoor seating and one outdoor bench perfect for this summertime hear. Thier location is great because you can come off the 91, 605, pioneer, del amo its all nearby. In this corner area you can get groceries, a gym workout, haircut, pizza and a massage if needed. I come back to this donut shop every now and then even while dieting. read more

I like the croissants here, and the sugar donuts as well. My favorite is the jalapeno ham and cheese croissant, esp when it is warmed! Delicious. I just wish they replenish the flavored coffee more often. But you may ask them to make a fresh batch anytime!:) People working here are very accommodating too.
