This place is your typical diner. Service is quick and friendly. Your food arrives very quickly and hot. I have only been there for breakfast/brunch so I'm not sure what the regular food tastes like. I have never been disappointed in the food when I go. I especially love their tator tot bowls, and chocolate chip pancakes! Portions are large and the price is great. I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express across the road and they were still doing the 'grab & go' Covid breakfast routine so I decided to give Goody's a try. Best food related decision I made all week. The restaurant is clean, if sparsely furnished. The food was affordable and delicious. I had a western cheddar, English muffin, side of bacon, Oj & coffee. All of it was great. It came out in, no kidding, 5-7 minutes. However, the best part of this place was the employees. Ordered grouper..was panfried with some type of breading! It was under cooked!! I usually only eat grouper when I'm in Florida! It was awful! Took it back and the guy was no it's cooked right! Well it wasn't! He didn't want to redo order. He gave the money back! The first time I went there when they first opened..I had under cooked chicken..I just paid and left the whole order!! I have been coming to goodys since the day they opened never had a bad thing to say about this place until today i ordered the same thing I do every time I come with is a western omelet with Swiss cheese with extra Swiss and add mushrooms well today my omelet wasn't cooked all the way through so they made me a new one and the 2nd one had egg shells in it not sure what happened today the guy picked up my dish my waitress gave us our bill we go up to pay for it my husband tries to explain to the lady owner what had happened this lady starts screaming saying we're in here all the time and all we do is complain about every little thing mind you this is the first time I have ever complained then my husband tries to tell her weve never had an issue before she cuts him off and starts screaming telling us to leave and never come back here ever again we are not welcomed here I was so upset to the point I was shaking and crying cause I have never been treated like this ever. I don't like leaving reviews like this but it really upset me with that being said there are 2 waitresses there that have always taken care of us which is Gabi and Alicia today we didn't have either of them and they were really busy to top it off. read more

First time there, breakfast skillet was good, would have liked a little more pepper in the country gravy. My wife's waffle was good, they give you syrup in a squeeze bottle, it would be great if they served it warm, like keeping it in a waterbath. Coffee, plentiful and hot. We have been here a few times for breakfast. Just getting the basics..eggs, potato, bacon etc. Its a solid breakfast. What really brings it to the 5 star is the ppl working here. The hostess spotted us outside and was already getting the menus ready. She was friendly with a warm greeting. Server was also fantastic (Gabriella?). Very pleasant, was on top of the coffee refills. Goody's is a no frills diner with quick, friendly service! On a Sunday around 10 a.m. our party of two was seated immediately and we had our food within 10 minutes. The menu is small-ish, but there is certainly something for everybody. Basic breakfast fare from omelets to waffles are cooked up fresh. The portions are generous and the prices are low. We paid about $20 for two omelets with toast and hashbrowns. My only gripe is the coffee. It is...frankly, bad. We ended up driving to Dunkin Donuts down the street to get our morning buzz. read more

This eatery is located right off I-71 on Snow Rd East of ramp.....I often stop here for lunch..er breakfast is what I usually have at luchtime- if you get there B4 11:30 $3.99- 3 eggs, home fries, toast-3 sausage links & coffee! Always good food, great service, and restroom gets a 5 star rating. Oh yea I really enjoy reading the paper while I eat & there is always a copy of PD & USA Today on the counter to borrow & enjoy. Middle of the road--I think that's the perfect way to describe this place. A little local diner in Brook Park that you can tell is catered toward an older crowd, and super family friendly to boot. The waitress could be a little more smiley, but they certainly weren't rude to us. What really tops the "impress me" charts is how quickly the food comes out. I seriously had just finished uttering the words "veggie, egg white omelet" before the plate was slide into front of my hungry face. Well, well, well... you can't top that when you have a hungry 6yr old in tow! The hashbrowns were more like mashed potatoes, smashed into a frying pan and seared. Interesting, but not my fave. Let's just say I had to load 'em up with salt and hot sauce. The veggie omelet was also pretty standard. All your typical vegetables and nothing stand-out-ish. Not the worst one I've ever had, but I wouldn't say it was the best. I think if we were in the area, we'd come back for lunch or something. The only thing wrong with this restaurant is that it isn't open past 3 PM. I've been trying to get in here for almost a year but with the parking lot always empty I figured it was a bad choice -- NOT. --they're only open for breakfast and lunch. Parked in a huge parking lot walked into the cleanest and most gleaming restaurant I've ever seen. They take cleanliness to a fault, had plexiglass between every booth and still had more than 6 to 10 feet distance and everyone( customers and employees alike ) wore masks and/or shields. I was greeted by five or six people, seated and served by at least two others and had the best Swiss steak I've had in 40 years (was married the last time I had this dish). The portion size was huge, the temp of all dishes was hot and since this particular daily special came with soup of the day which was chicken paprikash soup, can you stand it?? I WAS IN HEAVEN!!! Both dishes were fabulous, even the Ice-T was perfectly made. The dishes, tables, set ups,booth seating,chairs,everything was just spotless--- they work hard at what they do and follow the rules. Pretty sure a great deal of this is HOMEMADE but you will see for yourself!!! Being that I got there just before close, I wasn't turned away, I wasn't rushed, was even asked if I wanted a refill on ice tea and THAT would be etcetera etcetera etcetera just like Yul Brynner in the king and I. This was probably the single best experience I've had in over six months and most definitely since post Covid with everybody opening up with bad attitudes lousy food and lousy service. It's a good thing I didn't tell them I was a yelp writer or I'd have been treated like the queen of England... Oh wait,,, I WAS treated like the queen of England!!!!! Little oddly located and pretty alone except for Bob Evans but still near I71. Goody's. What a good name for such a good place. The food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is good!! For the past couple months or so, my roommate and I have ventured to this cozy diner for some good breakfast eats, and we have not been disappointed. I love me one of their omelets, and my roommate is a big fan of the pancakes. But more than anything, we live for the other patrons of this fine establishment. Every week we have come, there has always been a group or two of long-lived individuals just catching up. For some, it seems to be a regular occurrence. For others, it seems that they are catching up on lost time. Nevertheless, it warms my heart to see such interactions. And it shows just how warm and welcoming Goody's truly is. It's meant for all people, of all ages, and those who are in all walks of life. It's a place where everyone can get together, eat an omelet, and have an okay cup of joe. Highly recommend. Good breakfast. I think breakfast food is their best food. Very generous portions. I did have their beef and noodles and didn't like it. Didn't taste homemade. My husband had the chicken paprikash and he liked it. They do close earlier during the week, unlike the hours posted on the web. Stopped by this restaurant after checking into our hotel. Food was mediocre, sausage was hard, potato pancakes dense and cold. My sister in laws omelet was good and home fries just ok. Biscuit was good. My biggest problem was overhearing a server call a customer cheap and ignorant when she didn't like her tip after they had left. When I passed this on to the owner, prefaced my comment with I'm a restaurant manager and I welcome my guests feedback, he pretty much suggested I get over it. "This is a family restaurant " he told me. When I asked if that made the comment ok, he shrugged his shoulders. He asked me how long I'd been in the business, my response 30 years. "And you haven't gotten jaded yet?" A simple "I'm sorry your experience wasn't a good one in my restaurant" would have sufficed. Old school service with constant attention and smiles. Don't remember having a better breakfast anywhere else, and truly do appreciate the protein options available to go along with the typical eggs, toast sides. Went right in at 7:30am and was greeted and seated by people who genuinely seemed happy for us to be there (which can be hard to find, considering we were one of the first people in the door, and I've been in plenty of places where employees felt like they should be having "set-up time.")
