I recently dumped Cox 50 Mpbs internet at $72.99/mo (before taxes) for Google's 100 Mpbs internet at $50/mo, taxes and fees included. I found out I could either pick up my equipment from this location or have the item shipped. Being someone with zero patience and living in a world of instant gratification, I opted to visit this locale. Staff was super friendly, helpful and never once tried to upsell me. The first job I ever had, 20 years ago, was installing fiber networks. However, since everyone is an 'expert' at everyone else's job, I let them walk me through everything like a newbie, without being an arrogant egotistical man trying to claim I understood everything under the sun. A few years ago, Me and my family were so excited to sign up for Google Fiber as soon as they completed the major installation work at the apartment complex where we live. The Installation Team & Security was extremely friendly, clean, and on point! This morning (Sunday) we had an experience that confirmed we made the right decision. The box stopped working (it happens) and when my husband called for help, the woman he talked to over the phone was really nice, helpful, and he could even hear a doggy on the other side, which made him smile because we are animal people! We were also very happy to hear that they were taking careful and proper Covid-19 (plus Variants) health and safety steps to ensure their staff and their customers were kept safe. We were shocked, in a good way, my husband was able to set up a same day appointment a few hours from the time he was on the phone. Our son is on Distance Learning and my husband is working from home, so it was really important that we were able to take care of it asap for tomorrow (Monday). Then, I received a call about 20-30 minutes later from the Service Representative (Joseph) that he is 10 minutes away from our location and asked me in a friendly tone if it was okay if the appointment was earlier. He could be here in 15 minutes. I answered, something like, "of course, that would be great! Thank you so much!" He arrived so quickly and followed Covid-19 safety precautions (we appreciate it) and was done in a flash! What? Switched to Google Fiber a few months ago from Cox and we are switching back. Wifi drops in our two bedroom apartment which we did not have with Cox and the TV interface freezes if you are recording at the time which again Cox did not have. Keep in mind I hate Cox and everything they stand for. I was ecstatic that I would be able to finally switch since Rancho Santa Fe in Tustin outfitted all their apartments with Google Fiber and we did so immediately. Fiber support is not on par with what I would expect and needs more knowledgeable representatives. I honestly cannot recommend them or their service. I hate to say it but stay with Cox even though our bill dropped to $170 with Fiber. read more

Great customer service. Had my router fail on me a couple of days ago, and I had a chance to finally step into the store and get it resolved after speaking to customer service over the phone. I was helped fast, and they swapped my router out right then and there. Fast and easy! read more

The staff there make things super easy and absolutely loved it! Not much wait time, you just walk in and they'll give you everything you need. I'm going to write this review for your tech-support guy Mark, who came to my apartment and fixed our troubleshooting with wifi. He was very professional, know's his job, very respectful guy, and done his job super quick. I was expecting it to take about an hour or longer, but he was done like in less than 30 minutes. He even changed for us our fiber box to a new one. Thank you Mark for your professionalism. I believe this team needs more guys like you. The most pleasant and easy internet experience I've ever had. My apartment community recently became eligible for fiber service and I wanted to move away from the OC cable monopoly. Signing up online was extremely easy and the rep in the store was very helpful and answered all of my questions when I picked up the installation kit. Google fiber advertises "gigabit speed" but in reality I only got 500-600 when connected directly to the main router and as slow as 40-50 Mbps when connecting via WiFi via the mesh router. It worked ok though, but be honest about the speed. I switched back to Cox because the bundle deal basically gives me internet free with cable and phone. With Cox, I have a fiber modem right at the house and I pay for 500 Mbps and get over 600. I also use my own router and get the same speed over WiFi. I would have given Google 3+ stars, but ending the service is a hassle. They told me they would send a shipping tag to return the routers. They never did. I called and then they sent me a label. I promptly sent the devices however I get emails telling me to return them... I will have to call again. read more

Easily the best Internet service provider. I get 100 down and 100 up for only $50 per month. When I called my cable company Cox to cancel, they tried to keep me by offering 50 down 20 up for $70 lol. Google Fiber is the way to go. read more

i ordered my box and received it the second day "WoW" and installed it myself with no extra charge like other internet providers. internet quality is Excellent $70 for 1000 megabytes is way cheaper than any other providers and i shopped around and i would say this "HANDS DOWN" when it comes to google fiber of course for the price and quality i am getting. easily 5 stars :) read more
