Manny the installer was professional, on time, courteous and explained the installation that was done and how the modem was setup.

Manny did a niceclean installation. Took the time to answer all my questions and made sure all my stuff was working.

We had a great install with Manny! He was very kind, informative, and helpful! My advice with City Side Fiber is to ask for clarification several times. They has a strong wifi connection but the internal miscommunication and lack of notes for each customer makes for a very difficult experience working with them. Every time we call we need to reexplain everything and one person will tell us we dont need to be home 100% and the auto text says the same then someone shows up and says we do have to be home. There is definitely a lot of issues with the admin side and customer support side of the business but at the end of the day we will stay with City Side Fiber since they have a stronger network/connection than other providers in our community and working face to face with people like Manny is great! read more

Review from my phone because service is out. Again. Customer service for setup: great. Installation: great. Sprinkler repair after they trenched through a line: great. It happens, they fixed it promptly, all good. However. Three extended outages in the first two weeks of service is not acceptable. The first most basic priority here MUST be uptime. Doesn't matter how fast the service can be when there's no service at all. Like many others, I work from home and don't need the bandwidth- I need reliability. Whatever it takes CitySide, you are currently burning up goodwill in a bonfire. NO ONE wants to go back to Cox but I will have no choice if you cannot fulfill the most basic promise you make which is to simply show up. PLEASE give me a reason to come back and change this to 5 stars. I don't need a response to this review, I just need for your service to work. read more

Manny came today to finish up day 2 of the installation. He was kind and knowledgeable. Overall the installation team has been good. They trenched a part of our yard and had to do a small seam cut on our concrete but they avoided our drainage pipes. Overall things look fine so far. I can't comment on the actual internet service yet as it's only been a day since we've had them. I will update if I experience outages. But overall 5 stars for the installation team and Manny. read more

Rob, the repairman who came to my house at 8pm and stayed until almost 10:30 on a Friday night at the end of his shift, should get ten stars. He properly diagnosed the problem and had me up and running in a little over two hours. He needs a raise. The customer service operator I spoke with originally at 7:15p and who's only advice was to unplug my modem and plug it back in, and then he'd send out a repairman the next day was not as helpful. I work from home, including on nights and weekends and I can't have my internet down for 15+ hours. I had to pretty forcefully demand to speak to a supervisor to get a technician to come out to my house the same day. While I understand that CitySide is a startup business, the excuse that there's only one operator working on a Friday night and no managers or technicians was pretty far-fetched, imo. read more

Staff: The entire staff from the call center who scheduled the appointments, to the guys that came to our home for all 3 appointments , they were all nice. Value: Amazing compared to my prior carrier. No data limit and fast speeds are advertised. If it all goes as offered, the value will be a very good one. Overall: Appointment 1 : Nice guy came out to see where the installation would occur. Based upon the new fiber optics lines were laid outside, we arrived at an agreement on installation from the street into the home. Appointment 2: The crew came out to trench from the street to the house. They did not agree with the first person and now said they need to trench across the whole front grass and now put a box that converts the outdoor wire to indoor on the side of the garage in the front of the house. They said the guy would go into the attic and drop a line down. Appointment 3: The guy came and said that they couldn't go into the attic as it was a rule to avoid potential damage claims. Overall: Too many changes to the plan which was a bit frustrating. However, I'm so glad to have made the switch so far after a few days. The service tests at fast speed but I have experienced a couple of odd things that did not occur with my prior carrier. I'll update any changes to my experience with the service itself. read more

I want to give a huge thank you to the entire Cityside Fiber team for getting service installed at my home. I'm the last house on the block, and the fiber strand originally stopped two houses down, which meant a bucket truck was needed to extend the line to the pole behind my property. Amusingly, the pole directly behind my home was labeled "unfit," even though it's in great shape -- so the installation turned into a bit of an adventure. Throughout the process, the exterior technicians Brayden and Kervin were phenomenal. Brayden visited multiple times to keep the installation moving, and both he and Kervin went the extra mile by extending the fiber strand from several houses away just to make sure I could finally get connected. Inside the home, Manny set everything up cleanly and professionally. And the customer service team deserves credit too -- every time I called, I actually got through to someone, and the same day follow up calls were a breath of fresh air. Cityside Fiber has some truly dedicated people, and I appreciate the effort everyone put in to make sure my home wasn't left behind. The service has been excellent, and the team deserves recognition for their hard work and commitment. From my experience, Cox has poor customer service, inconsistent speeds, and frequent outages. Many users -- myself included -- deal with billing issues and little communication when problems happen. That's a big part of why I switched. One of the best parts about Cityside Fiber is the complete lack of pricing gimmicks or contract traps. There are NO long term contracts and zero end of contract price jumps where your bill suddenly spikes because you forgot to renew another "annual deal." My flat monthly fee -- taxes included -- is 55% of what Cox was charging, and the router is included, plus a mesh Wi Fi extender for the rest of the home. I now have stable high speed service with zero lag, 5ms ping, and 100% uptime since switching over. We've had Cityside Fiber for two billing cycles now, and the difference has been night and day. read more

Do not let Cityside contractors run any lines through your lawn or they will destroy it. They contract a company to run their lines and they destroyed my sprinklers and lawn. They left it in a complete mess. I complained and they came to fix the busted sprinkler pipe but did nothing about my lawn. I sent an email to get compensated for lawn repair and was ignored I also signed up for service which has not been great. I get outages all the time and internet is no longer as reliable as it was with Cox. I am going to give it another month and will probably switch back to Cox. read more

I switched from Cox to Cityside Fiber when it became available. Not only am I paying half the cost of what I was at cox but my Internet speeds and downloads went from 105 to about 700+ when I did the speed test. You can't even make it up. Since I last updated my review, there was yet ANOTHER outage. Then they finally came by to clean up the cable on the back of the house (the day after they said they would). The tech said he wouldn't be able to reach it but he'd try. He tried and could reach it fine, but told my wife there was no slack and nothing could be done and he left. My wife went back in the house. No internet. I contacted them (I'm working out of the country but she said she's not dealing with it) and he came right back and said he broke the cable trying to pull on it. His tool said the fault was inside of the attic and he'd need to go in through the house and splice it. The baby was sleeping and my wife was already so pissed she told him I had to deal with it when I get back. I've been gone all week so the house will end up being without service for several days. We have starlink as a back up for working and TV, but all my development servers and automations (and security cameras, etc.) have been broken all week since they're all wired through the Cityside service and the cameras would need to be reset to connect to them to change the WiFi config over. The customer service attempts have been a 7/10 (it's not perfect, but I'm not mad at their customer service) but they can't deliver the product at all. When it works, it's fine but as far as reliability goes, it's like third world internet. read more

The technician (Chinzo) who did our install was early, technically knowledgeable and did an incredibly clean and fast install! Terrible consistency. Outages happen in the morning . When there is an outage there is no way to verify. When you call to ask if there is an outage they don't answer the call and send you to voicemail then never return the call. Looking for alternatives now. read more

Interior installation was completed today by Manny. He did an excellent job. Everything looks tight and clean. Speed is two gigs verified and he was friendly and professional and efficient. He suggested a good route for the cable into my office to minimize drilling and cable exposure. The experience so far with Cityside fiber has been very good. Great service, great communication, text reminders and updates, and on time arrivals. The Internet service is five times faster than the previous provider for the same price and no data limits. If I decide that I don't need two gigs, I can downgrade to one gig and save some money. read more

DO NOT SWITCH TO CITYSIDE. We left Cox because we were assured that fiber optic is much higher quality than copper, or whatever Cox uses. And while that may be true, in the past ten days, we have had 3 outages. We are going through the third one right now. Cityside is ABSOLUTELY UNRELIABLE. If you rely on the internet for your wok or business, do not switch to Cityside. You will lose a lot of business or end up having to go somewhere to plug in to work. If you have small children, you'll have to find a place for them while you physically go in to work. Spoke with a "Matthew" today regarding today's outage. I asked him, "Do you know what it costs when my wife has to unexpectedly have to go in to work? And we have a 3 and a 5 year old." His response was, "Oh I know," in a sarcastic tone (which of course he denied). I responded, "Oh you do? How much is that?" He of course did not have a response. It is way cheaper to purchase the highest level of internet Cox has than to use Cityside. They admittedly are a "small company" and in my opinion a start-up. They have no idea what they're doing. If you plan on switching, wait a few years. They're not ready to be a reliable internet company. read more

Very disappointing experience with Cityside Fiber. Their workers parked two vans blocking my assigned parking space and my apartment complex for about 40 minutes. I asked them to move the vans, but they only moved one, they were installing services in an other apartment complex next to mine. Blocking private property completely unacceptable. read more

We just canceled Cityside Fiber after two years. But we pretty much had troubles from day 1. The installation only went okay because my husband watched the crew the whole time. He had to stop them from taking shortcuts that could have damaged the wiring in our home. Their contractor also tore up our yard and cut our irrigation lines. They repaired it, it took a lot of phone calls and haggling with them but the line was buried so shallow that I worry the gardeners may hit it at some point. The service itself was unreliable. My internet was slow or down almost every day. That's not what you expect from fiber. But it's probably because they outsource things to people who don't know what they are doing. Normal websites also blocked us because of how Cityside sets up their network. We couldn't even buy movie tickets online without using phone data. When we asked support to fix it, they tried to sell us a business plan at double the price. If your household depends on its internet, look elsewhere. We switched back to our old provider. read more

Next door neighbor decided to get service from Cityside Fiber. When they were installing it, without notification they spray painted my lawn on one day, then the next day my lawn was torn up. All this without any notification or permission. Paint marks remain on my lawn and the dug up portions will take a season to grow back. My neighbor apologized and said that he was told by Cityside Fiber that all work would be on his property and not mine. My thoughts are they told him what he wanted to hear just to make a sale. To exasperate the matter further, the installation crew left a bottle of urine in the gutter in front of my house. In reaching out to the their concierge, I received no response. read more
