    Amazing selection of cowgirl hats

This place is a true Texas gem. It's one of the few unique small businesses that draw me to south congress during sxsw. It's such a safe place to explore all kinds of hats. It's laid back no judgement energy lets me play with hats I wouldn't normally try on. As a Cali girl the cowboy hat is a bold choice and you gotta come with a certain Miranda Lambert 'backyard swagger'. I just really appreciate feeling welcomed enough to just try stuff on. Also the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and so passionate about the craft and craftsmanship of millinery. Love it!

This Goorin is a great hat shop to visit in person! My husband and I were visiting, and I wanted to treat him to a couple of hats for his birthday. They made us feel at home and Terence helped us personalize our hats as well as the experience. Terence taught us about the style of hat, perks of purchasing from Goorin, and ensured we had what we needed.

This was my second visit to the store but first purchase. It was packed as they were having a SXSW event but the staff, once free, was super courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. One of the hats I wanted wasn't available in my size but it almost fit - they were able to stretch it. Another was just slightly too big and they were able to use some foam inserts to let me leave the store with the hat same day. Enjoyed the experience, love the product, and will definitely be back for future purchases.

My AWESOME hat from Goorin Bros! Love it!!! :)

I visited Austin, Texas this past weekend and as I was exploring this beautiful city I came across this AMAZING Hat Store. Man, what an amazing find this was for me...I was in Heaven! I wish that y'all were in Dallas so that I can shop more often...I guess that I'll just settle for when I visit Austin again. Hmmm, I guess this Hat Store has become my new excuse to make more frequent visits. Let's see if my wife, and kids go for it! I'm pretty sure that they will! ;) LOL!!! Note: I loved their customer service, and amazing selections of hats. Note: As I explored Austin, I received multiple compliments throughout the restaurants, and shops that I had visited. That I had no choice but share a pic of my beautiful wife, and myself wearing this AWESOME hat from Goorin Bros. I love my hat!!!

I didn't know I needed a hat until I went into the store on a whim last night. While I somehow managed to talk myself out of the one I fell in love with then, I was back there first thing this morning to buy it. Employees on both visits were extremely cordial and helpful, and today, the staffer even steamed out a too-small hat just a smidge to see if we could get it to fit (it did!). I'll be wearing my new beauty a lot in the coming warm weather, and now that I know where all their stores are, I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in town (wherever that may be ...).

Thank you Goorin Bros. for fixing my damaged Rag & Bone hat!

THANK YOU Goorin Bros! I ordered an expensive hat online from a different store (Rag & Bone) that arrived damaged. The store was sold out of my size, so I could only return it for a refund, not a beautiful wool felt fedora. I was so upset. I called Goorin Bros and spoke to Julia, who was immediately sympathetic to my plight. She assured me that they would take a look at my hat and either steam and reshape it for free, or recommend an excellent milliner who could re-block my hat. I came into the store that afternoon, was helped by another wonderful pair of salespeople, and tried on some other gorgeous hats while they steamed and reshaped my hat (for free! even though I didn't buy it there!). On top of that, they sent me home with a plastic hat form to store my hat on to hold its shape, and sprayed it with a coat of their rain and stain repellent. They told me if I ever needed the hat brushed or re-steamed to come back and they'd do it for free again. Such incredible service! They turned a sad, crumpled hat, back into a beautiful hat, for FREE! They have certainly earned my future business. They next time I need a hat I am definitely coming back to Goorin Bros. They have a wonderful selection, and I already have my eye on one of their other pieces. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

While I've never bought a hat from here, I did come in here recently because I needed a hat box.

Everything was conducted online and via video conference. When you walk into the store you just know you're in the right hands. The vibe of the place is as if Marfa and Joshua tree had a baby:) I've worn hats since I was 8 years old, and I hear so often, "you look so good in hats, but I just can't pull them off.." and I reply, everyone can wear hats, you just have to find the right one. What better of a situation than to get a hat made just for you! Your hat should tell a story, or a bunch of them!!! Chris, the hatter at Aspen Hatter, is exceptional. He took the time to listen to my ideas and get to know me and then understand the vision I had for my hat, which in this instance I didn't have specific ideas, I just wanted a statement piece. I basically knew the color and that I wanted to incorporate turquoise. He ran with it! The hat Chris curated was beyond anything I could've ever dreamed of. It not only a fit perfectly, but it also captured my personality and style flawlessly. My hat is the exact statement I wanted! The craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into creating my hat were evident. Every stitch, every curve, and every embellishment was carefully executed. You can tell how much pride Chris puts in his work. I highly recommend Aspen Hatter to anyone in search of a custom hat. The combination of professionalism, fun, and a comfortable space makes the experience truly enjoyable. Chris's ability to listen to his clients and then turn their ideas into something extraordinary is remarkable. I am grateful to have found Aspen Hatter and am already dreaming of my next one! If you want a hat that not only fits perfectly but also reflects your individuality, look no further than Aspen Hatter.

Let's just say Austin was no longer a friendly place to live for a social worker trying to get ahead (AKA buy a house some day). After 2 attempts to get to ATX in 2025, I finally gave up on the airlines and decided to drive. I made it on 2/28/26 with a long list of "errands" that included "buy cowboy boots at Allen's." Imagine my dismay and surprise to see scads of people lined up north of Allen's at a boot store that looked like it was straight out of IG. Who are these people and why are they queuing for an overpriced California-looking place when the real deal is just a few stores south?? We bought my daughter's first pair of boots (red ropers) at Allen's back in 1994/1995. Why mess with tradition? I'm an Aggie, so we cotton to tradition. Anyhoo, Pedro was helping me find some boots and I got down to two pairs that fit like a dream. When my friend asked which pair I would buy, I made a quick decision - both. After all, it took two cancelled flights and a (kid you not) wrench in my tire to make it to ATX. I wasn't going to waste the trip making hard decisions. It could be another 8 years before I make it to the place I still call "home." Thank you Pedro for your assistance. Maybe I'll get some ostrich boots next trip! I love my tall brown boots & my short green-blue boots! Wearing them just about every day here in Columbia, SC! I'm grateful to Allen's for being true Austin - I felt right at home and will treasure my boots!!
