about 10 yrs ago I called Goose Island because every beer I opened gushed out like I had shaken it forcefully.i had to kinda shotgun it over the sink. I was told that must have been a bad batch. Well all I got were bad batches. So after 10 yrs I tried it again and behold, " bad batch". I had to change my shirt. I buy all kinds of beer. I've never had this with others. And what's with their creepy new logo..goose on a thumb? What is that supposed to mean? I do love their beer but this spillover will stop me from buying. dear goose island brewing. I am sorry for my review earlier today. It was poorly Written and was far from constructive. I and several other patrons felt like the management of the bar area was lacking. I've personally never been in any bar, airport or otherwise, that required you to physically be in a seat to place an order. In the context of an airport bar that is a little absurd, when you are the only place in an entire concourse it's just cruel. Add in the fact it's Chicago so carrying a beer to your gate is fine... just try to be nicer anywhere else in the city people would find a way to pull up another chair and welcome people in. Don't expect too much at the Goose Island Brewery in the L terminal of O'Hare airport. The seating is crowded and the seats squished together and extremely uncomfortable. My bill was $40+ and I only ordered one Blue Moon and BBQ bone-in wings (came with 7 wings). The beer was decent but the wings were dry, tough, and crunchy... and not a lot of meat on the bone. The waitress was very nice and I'm glad I tried this brewery. I would never order the wings at this location again. read more

We wanted a quick bite before our morning flight. We just missed the breakfast service (ends at 9:30 am), which was a bummer. My husband had a Chicago Classic burger (he liked it) and I had their warm pretzels with mustard and cheese sauce. There were three decent size pretzel sticks, which were too salty and too greasy from butter. I wish I was given an option of with or without salt, and butter on the side. The service was excellent, though. Kim was super friendly and attentive. If you are flying on AA out of Terminal 3, this place is conveniently located near gate L10. It's a much better option than Federation Burger, which has terrible service (we had to leave). read more

I witnessed the worst service I've ever seen provided in a restaurant while dining here. The guest next to me ordered a turkey club and the snippy lady waitress said they were out of that option. She then said she would be back in two minutes (so he could figure out an alternative order). She did not come back to take his order and ended up leaving instead! Several minutes more passed and the guest was able to wave down a different server. The restaurant was also out of the second item he requested but he quickly asked for something else. While he was still talking (ordering a beer) the new waitress walked off a few tables down but then returned after a moment and continued taking his order. While this was happening, a different guest sitting behind me never could get someone to take her order. After waiting over five minutes for attention, she ended up leaving. Then the guy who had finally got his order in waited ten minutes for his food. He gave up waiting and left after hearing other guests complaining about not getting their food. I was more lucky than these folks somehow. Although busy, there were a couple available seats. A male waiter dropped off a menu for me within a few minutes of sitting down. He returned within a few minutes to take my order. Food came out in under seven minutes (I timed it after seeing other reviews about long wait times). Had the Chicago Dog and it was very good. Even though he was much more prompt than the other two servers I witnessed, he was missing basic skills: - no greeting - didn't ask what I wanted to drink - didn't ask what I wanted to order (he just showed up and stood there) - never came back with a bill (I had to get a bartender's attention after standing there a few minutes). Stopped here for a Beer-close to my gate and know them as a local Chi Brewery. Full Bar and mostly sandwiches for food. I really wanted them to have more than 3 of their Beers on tap with 2 more in Bottles/Cans. That said, I've had their IPA before and it is as tasty as I remember. Smaller space with a blocked exterior view. Mostly High top tables with outlets for charging. 3 TVs all tuned to Sports Channels. Service was quick. Shockingly bad food. I ordered a breakfast sandwich before a flight and what I got was a smashed, pathetic, tasteless little thing on a paper plate. See pic. I honestly couldn't believe what I was looking at. And it wasn't worth complaining to the bartender. I think he was embarrassed to even put it in front of me. This may be the worst airport bar I have ever been in. I had an early flight, so I stopped in for a breakfast beer. The bartender looked at me numerous times between his almost constant stares at ESPN, but refused to acknowledge I was actually breathing. When I finally asked if I could order a beer, I got the stare of death as if I had just kicked his dog and called his baby ugly. If you're going to charge $86 for a tap pour, a modicum of humanity would really be nice. But I get it. He was super busy with the 3 other costomers that were flooding the bar. And for the pièce de résistance, it was great watching him tell two different people that a particular drink item wasn't available, then turning to another customer and telling him that they do have it but he didn't want to serve either person because he wouldn't get a tip for it. Bar tender, Juan, (spelled with an H I think. Black hair with gray around the temples. Wears readers in his nose) literally ran off 4 customers within 5 minutes. You go to the bar and if you put your bag in the seat, he scolds you and tells you to sit in the seat and put your bag on the floor. No time to get your phone or charger out. Two people came up to order a drink because they hadn't gotten service at their table and he told them to go back their table and wait. He's a rude and unprofessional horrible representative of the customer service industry. I found him to be so offensive that I paid for and left 1/2 of my beer after telling him pretty much what I'm posting. Folks are stressed and just want to have a seat and a drink before getting on the plane. No one needs an attitude from this ungrateful dude. Hopefully management will address it. read more

First of all, Phyllis A. Needs to keep her Karenesque self on the west coast ! It's CHICAGO, at an AIRPORT and it gets BUSY ! Yeah, took a bit to get served, but flights were backed up and jacked up. This was my second time at Goose Island because unfortunately there are not many food options in Terminal C of ORD. Both visits have been a bit disappointing. On my first visit about two months ago, my food took a very long time to come out, despite it being a sandwich. The second time, the turkey panini came out somewhat faster. The turkey panini was good, but I don't think it was necessarily worth the price. Unfortunately, that's to be expected in the airport, especially with not many other options. After sitting down at the bar, it took a very long time to be greeted and for someone to get my drink order. Others who came up to the bar after me to order and go back to their tables were helped first. The Green Line Pale Ale was good at least. If you are in a rush, this is definitely not the place to go. After finally getting your drink and your food a while later, it can take a while to get someone's attention to get your check. If there are other options, you may want to look elsewhere for dinner. Unfortunately, if your gate is near Goose Island, there aren't many other options. read more

Okay yes this is an Airport so what does one expect ? Definitely not this .... I am all for self serve but when it takes more time than ordering and the waitress has to check our work and talks customers phones and clicking buttons on their phones it is all too much. She was rude and condescending and three tables next to ours had something to say including us. The food was not great either. She gave us the wrong food. Food was fair. Service was terrible. First of all it was confusing to figure out where to order. The staff ignored us. Finally the one who sometimes showed up at the register out front told us to go order at the bar. The server at the bar said she would come to our "table" (wine barrel). So after 15 minutes, we finally got to put in our order. When we were ready to pay, we again had to ask where to do that. While we were eating, our flight was further delayed and we received meal vouchers from the airline. When we went to use them, the server complained that we should have told her earlier. We explained that we had just received them because our delay had lengthened. Then she was going to help someone waiting behind us before processing our payment. We were going to need to use a credit card to pay for the difference. She scanned our vouchers and then went to do something else before finishing with the credit card transaction. After all that, we were so frustrated that we didn't leave a tip. She then berated us and told us we "should try to spread good karma." She should take her own advice and not be rude to customers. We are the kind of people who tip 99.5% of the time. It takes really poor, rude service for us to skip the tip. read more

Indicating that she could not help me. The entire bar were full of white patrons. They were all being served. There was no line or uniformity of any sort. My husbands birthday (just passed) his ID was expired therefore we offered a passport instead. She took this as an opportunity not to service. And embarrassed us basically humiliated us in Public without cause, by saying we were too rude and she refused us service. I would like a manger or Corporate to please reach out to us. Food was okay. Literally a turkey sandwich grilled, pretty greasy. The drinks are what you pay for them. There was no air by the window and it got pretty hot. No outlets by the window or bar seating. Half of the outlets at wall seating weren't working. I couldn't tell if my bartender, George (aka Mr. Wonderful), was yelling at me or it was just his personality at first. I ended up loving him!
