This place is very unassuming from the street. The dining room and bar are bright, open and sleek with lots of TVs. Definitely a great spot to watch sports. The bartender/server was very friendly. My friend and I were have a conversation and didn't look at the menu much, he kept checking on us until we were ready to order. I got the Goose's Burger with tots. The burger was cooked well and had grilled tomatoes, grilled onions and a mango habanero sauce. The sauce wasn't too spicy and added a lot to the burger. It was a bit messy, but I scarfed it down. Tots were nice a crispy. The place wasn't very busy so I was a little skeptical whether it was going to be good, but I was pleasantly surprised. Like most dive bars, small businesses, small restaurants, they will always have something wrong. The two times I've gone here it felt like any other bar, I don't expect much from small town feel bars and restaurants. We ordered at the bar. Maybe it took a second to get to us but we had no issue ordering. We ordered our food and went over to twisted vine. One time they brought it to us because it wasn't so busy and another we went back over there since it was more busy. All that said I didn't see any big issues with gooses and the food was good. The Mac and cheese with the bbq on time was sooo good. And will be going again. For the more sensitive guests maybe the bar tender could be a little more talkative or smile more. If you want a fancy place and expect a lot this may not be the place for you. read more

This is definitely a bar but thought we would try it out for breakfast. The food was okay but extremely affordable. We paid $30 for two entree meals so not much to be mad about. The service was good. The server took our order in a reasonable time was communicated with us as the food was almost ready. Not many people in there for a Sunday so I would assume it's not well known they serve breakfast. Even better they serve breakfast all day Sunday so if you sleep in you'll still make it for pancakes. read more

A few things that I always miss when not in NE- Family, Friends, Food & Football! If you're lucky enough to live in the Papillion/Omaha NE area, you can meet some of the BEST people I have been blessed to know, and support their veteran, family owned bar and grill! These people, and this place have my heart. When my (bio) Dad passed suddenly and unexpectedly a few months ago, I was scrambling to find a place to host a gathering after his service. He was an Omaha native, a Navy veteran, and an avid Harley rider that maintained a variety of lifelong friends. How many, I had no clue. How many would see the notice and attend, I had no clue. Yet when I called Goose's Bar & Grill and spoke to Nathan and his Manager- the reply was short, sweet and put every ounce of my anxiety to rest, "We've got you" - and THEY DID!!! No questions, just the most perfect suggestions. They opened doors, brought in extra staff that accommodated and served us with the warmest welcome and comfort food you could image. (Oh, and the kicker?! - of course this all took place during the busiest week for all of the Main Street Papillion businesses- "Papillion Days" - still, they made it happen for me. I will forever be grateful. If there's one thing I could ask that you do for me, please stop in and support them. We went to the k e around the corner, but their cook didn't show up so we walked to Goode's! GREAT SERVICE sns Ice cold drinks, as well as good food! So much brighter than under the prior owners and much tastier fare! We will definitely go back! We had the dip. The bar and grill has been redone nicely since the Papio Pub days. Great place to watch a game. Excellent service. The onion rings were as good as others have raved. Our ladies group met here for brunch on a Thursday at 10:00 am. We were greeted warmly and our waitress was very attentive all the way through our time there. There was plenty of room for all of our ladies to have a table big enough for us all. The menu for breakfast had quite a few things offered... you could even order things à la carte if you didn't want a full breakfast meal. I had the side of 2 pancakes and hash browns and the pancakes were a really good size and light and fluffy. (I could only eat one) The hash browns were yummy, but not that big of a serving. Prices were very reasonable. And for the most part, very generous servings. The coffee was very good and she kept it coming all the way through. There are TVs all the way around and a huge screen on one wall that distracted me a bit. But would be great for watching a sports event. The inside is nice looking...kind of a black-and-white type decor. It hasn't been open very long so I don't know how many people know about it or that they serve breakfast. It is nice to have a place to eat breakfast in downtown Papillion. I hope they continue to offer this and hopefully more and more people find out about it. I think they open early in the morning so that is very nice for people who are early birds. Of course they offer regular bar food, such as hamburgers, and yummy appetizers. I think they even have specials throughout the week. It is owned and operated by a veteran and promotes veterans. They even have a ramp going up to their establishment. Please give this restaurant a try and give them some love and attention. They really are wonderful addition to downtown Papillion. read more

The pork tenderloin and okra combo is fantastic! There aren't many places in Nebraska that serve homemade tenderloin sandwiches.

Had some hiccups for opening night the wait on the food was a little long but chalk that up to opening jitters the owner was making rounds speaking to each customer wait staff was on the ball with refills couldn't order a beer yet as that will be December 2 The food was very good even though it took awhile it came out hot and fresh I had the Jon burger and the wife had the French dip the onion rings are truly hand made nothing comes out of a bag fries where not hand cut but still pretty good and the pickles on the burger where very good all in all I would recommend you give them a try the wait was worth it read more

The place looks great and it's very comfortable. Everyone was extremely friendly and the bartender was fantastic! He was so personable and fun. The drinks were excellent as well. This was our 1st time and the only thing we ate was pretzel bites with cheese sauce as an app but they were terrific. Stopped in the other day. I love the prices and the menu. However I do have what I hope is useful feedback. I was disappointed that the French dip wasn't available so I switched to the Mac and pork. I found this to be a nice portion size but very bland in flavor. The bacon needs a kick maybe bake the bacon with a little brown sugar to caramelize it. The pork had no flavor. Please season the pork and add some bbq sauce. Just use a squeeze bottle and drizzle the top. It will improve the presentation and kick up the flavor. Also your bbq sauce that you do have is flavorless as well. Those things are easy enough to do and won't increase costs much. I hope that this helps.
