We had also never tried the Beef Wellington and we couldn't believe we waited so long to try it! The beef was so tender and juicy!! The puff pastry was a perfect accompaniment. Do NOT skip the lobster risotto! I just wish the portions were bigger because we did not want to stop eating that risotto! We ordered a Caesar salad too and it was the best Caesar salad we have ever had! A Caesar salad can be a simply thing, but it's also very easy to mess up if the dressing and toppings aren't perfect. They put as much effort and care into the salad as they do the other items on their menu. The portion on this is HUGE though....it's definitely a salad you can share between 3-4 people if you're having it as a dinner salad before your appetizers and entrees. (Why couldn't the lobster risotto be like that too? Haha!) The side of the potato purée was heaven. These were the most perfect potatoes! The sticky toffee pudding....I don't care how full you are, order it!! It is the best dessert in the world! I had the lobster risotto as an appetizer which was to die for also accompanied with the Scallops which are melt in your mouth tender although the sauce was an acquired taste or unusual. One of my guests said "This is the best salad I've ever had" as an entree I had the beef Wellington which was the best piece of food ever. The lobster risotto tasted like it came from a microwave and the lobster was mushy and too fishy (fresh, good lobster doesn't taste like that). The New York strip lacked flavor and so did the small beef Wellington. I'm so surprised with the quality of food. We expected 5 stars based on the Ramsey name and right away we were a little disappointed. The restaurant itself feels like they found an old waffle house and halfway decorated it like Hells Kitchen. There are ugly acoustic boards stuck to the ceiling that do nothing to tame the noise which is way too high for fine dining. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. You are definitely paying for the Ramsey name and the Tahoe location. $65 for Beef Wellington and $60 for a slightly overcooked fillet is just too much unless its amazing. And it was great. But not amazing. Definitely dont cater to beer drinkers as the choices are very limited and bottle only. Nothing on tap? Really? We had a reservation for a table of 6 at 6pm on a Saturday. It was really busy inside and many people were trying to walk-in / check in for a reservation. The place was clean and it was cool to be able to see the chefs cooking in the windows by us. We weren't seated until 6:20 and didn't get our orders taken until about 15-20 minutes later. Waiting worked out in our favor a bit since we progressively got even hungrier. We've always wanted to experience Hell's Kitchen and was seated by the TVs where they play back old episodes. Overall, the food was good! The table agreed that are favorites were the scallops and lobster risotto. I used to love Hell's Kitchen at Harvey's Lake Tahoe--so much so that a year ago, I would have easily given it 5 stars. The food was fantastic, from the pork chop to the macaroni and cheese to the NY strip steak, and the service has always been top-notch. However, I just visited over the weekend and was disappointed. It looks like they've expanded, and unfortunately, it seems like they might be cutting corners with ingredients or quality. I ordered the Jidori Chicken Scallopini since the pork chop was off the menu, but it didn't impress me. The macaroni and cheese, which I loved before, had a floury taste this time around. I've included videos from a year ago when everything was amazing, and some are from this past weekend. While the presentation was still great and the service remained excellent, the taste didn't live up to what I remember. That said, my friend really enjoyed her grilled octopus and seared foie gras, so maybe it was just my selections this time. We enjoyed them all and they weren't shy about the amount of alcohol they put in them We started with some oysters and some scallops. The oysters came with a variety of fixings/toppings and the brown liquid "sauce" with the green onions they give is to DIE for. I literally could've drank it, it was that good. Then we get our entrees which were 2 filet mignon "Oscar style" which meant it had chopped lobster tail on it with a yummy sauce, a beef Wellington and then I got the scallops (one of the appetizers) and a Caesar salad which was HUGE and no lie, the best Caesar salad I've ever had in my life. Lastly we finished with the toffee pudding and OMFG....it was absolutely amazing! It kind of tasted like a Blondie if anyone knows what that is. The staff were SO friendly and nice and went above and beyond. They explained what all of the dishes were when they dropped any food off. This was our 4th visit. None of the visits disappoint. The service and the food is always top notch. Dan was our server last night (June 20, 2024) and he deserved every bit of the 30% tip. Hubs and I both ordered the filet. He usually orders the welly, but always hears me talk about perfect it is. Our friend has never been, and has been wanting to go for 3 years. She had never had wellington and I was sad that she didn't like it. She said the puff pastry was too gooey, like maybe it wasn't fully cooked. Since I'm allergic to mushrooms I couldn't even taste it to give her my opinion. She also ordered a side of the asparagus and she said she was really disappointed, that there was way too much cheese on it. I've seen a few Gordon Ramsey episodes but I didn't realize there were 20 seasons of Hell's Kitchen (not including his other cooking shows). After my first visit, here's the summary of my experience. H/K is decadent, rich foods and wine served in a setting resembling the show paired with a sprinkling of celebrity. While we waited for our table, we took a seat at the bar. The tender, James, was friendly and joked with us. The bar also serves food so james wasn't super busy making signature cocktails. We were seated at our table right on time. The atmosphere is kinda dark so bring your reading glasses if you need them. There's plenty on the menu to choose from, all of it decadent and expensive. We opted for the Fire and Ice for 2 which starts off with lobster risotto and seared scallops. The main is Beef Wellington and Alaskan King crabs. There were 2 little carrot and potato nuggets to make you think you're eating a balanced meal. We finished off with the toffee pudding dessert. Hells Kitchen? Hell No!!!!! But 1st let me say, it was my groups party issues, not mine. But also Hells Kitchens too. We went there to celebrate my wife's 65th bay. We had a 4pm reservation (1st seating) for four. her 65th, my 60th (yes Wifey is a cougar, Rowl) and my sister in laws 50th. All within this past month. We were ready to splurge. So seating took 30 minutes after opening. There was a line. Got to our table, was quickly greeted by a host, water at the table. All looking good so far. Cocktails spot on. Yeahi, good start. So after a few minutes of service drinks, not much more time afterwards, (turn tables) we were asked for our orders. We got a late dinner reservation and since the restaurant is in the casino, it was pretty busy and lively. We were seated right away and attended. The server shared some popular recommendations. We ordered Scallops in green pea sauce, beef Wellington, foie gras, roasted corn, sea bass. Scallops were succulent and perfectly charred. Beef Wellington was medium rare and absolutely divine. The only things it came with were some hot sauce and lemon. Overall some decent bites, but unsure if worth the price tag. - Toffee bread dessert they had was insane. It was so moist and soft, the sweetness was not overbearing. It came with each pre-fix meal, but since we had a private booked event, they gave out small plates of dessert for everyone else. My boyfriend and I booked reservations here for our 3 year anniversary with the notes request for a view of the kitchen area or a nice table. Wes is theeeeeeeeeee BEST, thank you for the exceptional dinner wait service my cousins and I received on Saturday, January 21st! The food was absolutely delicious! We all ordered a little bit of everything: Beef Wellington (deluxe), Tomahawk 32oz Ribeye, Lobster Risotto, Brussels, Caesar Salad, Truffle Mac n' Cheese, Sticky Toffee Pudding, plus libations all and in between. Lol. You can't go wrong with anything ordered here. Everything is yummy! The hype is so real. With this restaurant based on the famous cooking show from Uncle Gordon Ramsey, the ambiance is so fun and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant is you are headed to Tahoe. read more

My favorite Gordon Ramsay restaurant! I always start with the lobster risotto (add the truffle shavings! It's really worth it) I always get the filet med. rare and my husband gets the rib eye. A tomahawk may have been consumed once lol they have a nice wine selection and the restaurant is decked out just like the show! The waiters are always super knowledgeable and friendly. I end the night with toffee pudding! The perfect restaurant for a date night in Tahoe. Heck I'll go by myself just for the risotto! :P read more

Surprised and delighted to discover the contemporary chic casual atmosphere here for such an elevated dining experience. From the moment we were greeted to our attentive and informative server Sean, we felt warmly welcomed. Details like the cut glass decorations on the water glasses and martini glasses were a lovely touch while the overall Hell's Kitchen decor theme lent a kind of tongue in cheek amusing feel to the place (also, photos of 25 years of Hell's Kitchen TV show winning chefs can be seen along the back wall). The short rib and the grilled swordfish dishes were perfectly prepared, the former was a great piece of meat and so tender with a rich sauce (a little on the salty side) and seated on a firm disc of polenta and spinach--traditional but exceptional. The latter was a more imaginative treatment with a tomato-nage broth, bedded on baby chickpeas, and topped with a black olive tapenade (also rather salty). We saved room to share the master's signature sticky toffee pudding and boy were we glad we did--it's possibly the best dessert I've ever had in my entire life! We were glad that the restaurant is very close to the northeast entrance to Caesar's just across the street from South Lake Tahoe, an easy walk from the resorts and not having to traipse throughout the casino to search for it. read more
