I went here the other night with my family/friends. The service was great, very friendly staff. Vibes were really good here, very scenic views. Food took a long time, but that can be expected for a big group. Food quality on the other hand, especially for the price tag, I can expect to be pretty good. I just ordered a caesar salad and added chicken, also got a side of the garlic mashed potatoes. As far as the price tag goes, I really was expecting good presentation, but that's not really what I received? The salad looked like they just threw some chicken thighs on there, with skin and fat, and all. Chicken was not even trimmed, was not even nicely plated, literally just tossed ontop of the salad. Most of it was dark fat meat, totally a disappointment. Salad itself barely had any dressing for it, even more disappointing. Mashed potatoes were good, I tried some of my sister's plate and it was fine. Seriously though, you're an upscale restaurant and messing up on something as simple as salad? Definitely would not come here again, I expect way more from a restaurant like this, in general.

Food, Service, views. Everything here is perfect every time me and my wife come here. Fantastic. Get her to see the sunset. It is not to be missed. Elk steak was amazing.

Came here because we had some rewards credits to use, and were craving steak. The service was fantastic. Glad we came before sundown so we could see the beautiful view of the lake as well. The food however was nothing notable and would not pay this price point had we not had dining credits. The mushroom ravioli was a tad salty, flavor was okay. And both of our meat cuts I believe were slightly overcooked.

The most beautiful restaurant in Lake Tahoe. Their food was incredible, steak and lamb cooked perfectly, delicious soups, and amazing drinks. The scenery is breathtaking, you can see all of Lake Tahoe! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

I have been to the Sage Room several times. The service is always great, but I have had mixed food in the past. I went at the end of November 2025 and the whole experience was excellent. We went for my friend's birthday. Frank the GM was very friendly, helpful, and just delightful. Anthony's waitering was top notch and the banana's Foster delightful. I split the poke and the shrimp and scallops with my friend. The sear on the shrimps and the scallops was perfect making them flavorful. I would eat either of those again. It was dark when we were there, but you could see some of the Christmas lights of Heavenly Village.

Sage room is a wonderful restaurant on the 19th floor of Caesars Republic hotel. Such a great place with super friendly employees, a prestigious vibe from the top of a property, and overall great experience. We did not eat here however, the employees pointed out their best dishes, spent a ton of time with us promoting their brand and great offerings, and made us feel welcomed the entire time. We had drinks here but we'd be hard pressed to not visit the amazing restaurant the next time we're here.

We had an amazing first dining experience here last night. The ambiance is great and I'm sure views are wonderful when it isn't dark out like it was for us. Service was A+ all around. Drinks never went empty. We got complimentary warm bread and butter to start and it was very yummy. We split all dishes. The Caesar salad was huge even split in two. The 20oz bone in NY strip was delicious and plenty big enough to share. My only complaint about the au gratin potatoes is that it needed to be double the size for that price. It wS tasty but not great, seems a little undercooked. The table side bananas foster is $30 for two but worth every penny! So delicious and a special treat for sure, not something you find at restaurants often. We'll be back as we absolutely enjoyed the dinner!

Four times eating here in less than year and each time, chefs kiss! Great service, selection, cocktails, and that view! Kudos to Frank(GM) remembering us and getting our table with a spectacular view. Can't wait to go back in the Fall.

The Sage Room Steakhouse at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe is one of our absolute favorite places to celebrate our anniversary each year. The restaurant sits high above the lake, and the views of Lake Tahoe are simply incredible, especially around sunset. The food is always fantastic--perfectly prepared steaks, great sides, and a classic steakhouse experience that never disappoints. But what truly keeps us coming back every year is the service. We have been fortunate enough to have Teddy as our waiter almost every time we visit, and he is outstanding. Teddy is professional, attentive, and has that rare ability to make the entire dining experience feel special without ever being overbearing. He remembers us when we return for our anniversary and always takes great care of us throughout the evening. Between the amazing food, breathtaking views, and Teddy's exceptional service, the Sage Room continues to be a place we look forward to visiting every year. Highly recommended if you're looking for a memorable dinner in Lake Tahoe.

Sage, located on the 19th floor in the Cesars hotel, truly made this birthday a memorable one. I wish I came across a Jericho and Tarra every time we went to dine in. My last minute birthday Tahoe trip leads to no reservations lined up, but we called and they were happily able to accommodate our party of 8 one hour before closing time! With the expectation to make dinner brief, they made us feel so welcomed and comfortable, even seating us in the corner next to the window to enjoy what likely was the most exclusive view in the restaurant. From appetizers (Cesar salad, shrimp cocktails and bone marrow), a bottle of the Chappellet cabernet, to the Ribeye, filet mignon and prime rib, and all sides.. ugh! Just a great evening all around! Definitely give them a shot and ask to sit in Jericho and Tarra's sections :) Cheers!

First time dining here. Our server Jericho and helper Juan were very attentive and friendly. Hubby and I shared a salmon w/puree sweet potato & broccolini plate. We also had lobster bites. The garlic butter sauce is so good and yummy for dipping your bread. A great meal on the 19th floor of Harvey's. Beautiful view. A nice spot if you just want to have a drink at the bar with great views of the lake. Bon Appetit!

Ask the Community - Sage Room Steak House

Did they take the steak Diane off the menu?

Yep. All tableside dishes except the desserts. Tragic

Are they still serving French Onion soup?

    Yes

    Is there reservation?

Yes you can or call ahead and get seating

Have they moved to the top of Harvey's yet?

19th Floor. Nice view! Go at sunset.

Is parking fee validated for a dinner party of 4 on Sept 8?

There is self parking at the Casino, or Valet parking for a small tip

Anyone know if they have a kids menu, have two older well behaved kids 11 and 13?

    No

Is there a dress code for Sage Room Steak House?

I would say no, but it is a nicer steakhouse. The wait staff is in tuxedos, suits. Most people will dress a little nicer, but it's not required.

I had the Gambler Steak Burger with garlic parmesan fries. My brother got the Blackened Salmon Ceasar Salad. I was surprised when the waiter said "good choice the salmon here is delicious". They have wild caught king salmon delivered twice a week. We split our food. The salmon was as good or better than any piece of salmon I have ever had. It melted in your mouth. My burger was cooked medium to perfection. Super juicey and delicious. Among the best burgers I have ever had no joke; they grind their own meat. The hand cut fries were really good too. Service is friendly and attentive. Great beer selection and plenty of TVs to catch the game you are after. We liked it so much that we went back and ordered the same dishes the next day and they were perfect again. They passed the consistency test. Yes two days in a row; thats how good it was. However, the burgers were just okay. We tried the Silver and the one with grilled onions and thousand island, but they didn't quite stand out. The island-style mocktail we ordered, on the other hand, was delicious. As for the tater tots, they were mediocre--a bit greasy and unseasoned even though we asked for Cajun (they just handed us the seasoning on the side instead of tossing them in it). If only 3.5 stars was an option. Good wings and drinks, but the rest was just average.

Well greeted, attentive without hovering, and they took really good care of us throughout the night. They also hooked it up with a few birthday extras which I definitely appreciated. Ambience is very old school steakhouse. Big booth, pillows, kind of classic and comfortable in that traditional way. Food was... meh. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. The steak itself was fine, but the bacon wrap was not good and kind of threw the dish off. Escargot was interesting, honestly the best part was the pastry on top more than the escargot itself. We wanted to meet up for dinner. I figured picking a spot in his hotel would be easier, so we decided to try Ciera. They are on OpenTable, but there were no reservations avail. I called earlier in the day and they were able to accommodate us at the time listed above. They have a set menu which is an okay deal. Considering the escargots are typically $20, the caesar is $12, the 8oz filet is $55 (the one on the set menu is 6oz), and the desserts above are $10 each, I don't really think you are saving any money. I actually did not take part and got the soup and seafood tower. I wasn't super hungry, so it was nice having something lighter. Both were standard. I don't recall loving or hating either one. The drinks here are good tho. My manhattan was nice and stiff. When it came time for the bill, we noticed the macallans were listed at $30 each. I took a pic of the menu and we asked about the price difference. They apologized and comped us both drinks. A really nice gesture. Vibe wise, it's very much an old school steakhouse with lush leather booths. We were sat at a table in the middle and I was a little envious of the people in the booths. They are huge and looked so cozy and comfy. I'd definitely recommend making a note about seating if you decide to come here. A booth would be the way to go. Overall an okay meal. I'd probably give it 3 stars. But bumping it up to 4 for the customer service! REVIEW #3843

The Seafood Plateau was incredible with King Crab Legs, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Tail, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Salmon Poke. It was a tad spendy, but since it's shareable for 4-5, I'd say it's worth it and would definitely order again next time. We also had the Crab Cake, two sizeable patties -- a little bit more flavorful and larger than your typical Crab Cake. The Grilled Broccolini was good, but typical. Lastly, for appetizers, the Crispy Pork Belly was also a hit -- although I did not get a taste as it is smaller and not so much shareable. The pièce de résistance was the Tomahawk Steak. Cooked perfectly medium-rare and served with Chimichurri and Au Poivre sauces on the side. The steak was very flavorful without any sauce, IMO. Served with Grilled Asparagus and Lobster Mac & Cheese. Kelsey provided excellent suggestions and service throughout. The ambiance was nice -- not dressy, but not casual. Resort attire, is what they call it, I think. We will definitely be back!
