If you come to a Gordon Ramsay location, you better be coming for the wellington. A signature staple in the collection, it was so buttery flaky and the beef was perfectly tender. Paired with a side of mac n cheese, it was a night to remember.

Omg! Food and service were excellent and ambiance was very nice. One of the best dining experiences I've had and one of the best steaks as well. For my cocktail I had the Red Eye Old Fashioned, very well balanced, excellent. Ordered the beet salad and butternut squash to start. The beets were just right, the za'atar beet yogurt gave it just the right kick. The butternut squash soup was delicious, rich and not super sweet. The steak was the 8 ounce Idaho tenderloin, medium, perfectly cooked and scrumptious. Carrots, mushrooms, and puree potatoes were amazing. Last but not least the sticky toffee pudding, warm, sweet, and luscious. Definitely a place for an exceptional dining experience. It's pricey, not going to lie, but in my opinion definitely worth it.

Got taken here for my birthday celebration. We ordered the beef wellington for 2 and a side of mac and cheese. Service was amazing and the beef was unexpectedly tender. Really strong mushroom flavour in the wellington. Amuse bouche was also a nice touch, and we were too full to try their sticky toffee pudding but they gave us a little piece of cake with frosting anyways!

Went here for my birthday and had high expectations as it's Gordon Ramsey restaurant. The server told us the beef wellington will take 45 minutes which we were ok with. The starter bread was decent. Fluffy bread with salted butter spread. The tuna was good as well, can't go wrong. The beef wellington comes with the mashed potatoes and carrots. The mashed potatoes were very very salty. I dont find it very creamy either, which I had much better ones than this. This one was just a lot of butter. The carrots were not cooked evenly. Some were good while others were very much raw still. The beef wellington itself was just ok. It wasn't like wow this is so good I need seconds, which was a little disappointing. It was super duper filling though so just one slice was more than enough for me. The mushrooms inside was fragrant and nice the beef was cooked nicely. It just didn't really stand out to me and I definitely wouldn't get it again. However, the sticky toffee was delicious! It was a tad on the sweet side, but it was good as it's warm along with the cold ice cream making it very irresistible. If they made the toffee a little less sweet, then it'll be perfect! Overall the experience was ok. The place was a bit gloomy and loud but it was spacious.

I had to try this place since it's right in the lobby of the hotel I was staying at, and the prices were more reasonable than Gordon Ramsay restaurants in the U.S. I was curious to see whether his restaurant could actually live up to the standards he sets on TV. Reservations require a credit card, and they do charge for late arrivals, no-shows, or last-minute cancellations. They charge an extra fee if your card isn't from one of their 3 preferred banks. I don't have one, and it's a huge turn-off to see this kind of nickel-and-diming at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. I expected this to feel more high-end given Gordon Ramsay's reputation, but the overall vibe was very casual. Right after we were seated, I was already a bit let down by the cleanliness of the table. There were visible wipe marks from the cleaning cloth on both the table and the utensils (shown in my photos), which made me question whether everything was actually clean. I expected better from a restaurant with his name on it. The small lamp on the table was also awkwardly placed and constantly in the way. Unlike most U.S. steakhouses, there's no complimentary bread, but the warm bread we ordered was worth it. As much as I love ribeye, I felt obligated to try the Beef Wellington as a first-time visitor since it's Gordon Ramsay's signature dish. The tenderloin inside was the best I've had, better than the tenderloin used in two-person meals at other steakhouses, very tender and well-cooked. The flavor was unique, and I later found out it was due to the real truffle. That said, the truffle was very strong and heavy. It quickly killed our appetite, and we found it hard to keep eating. I forced myself to finish the rest after removing some of the truffle layer. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it's not something I'd crave. I'd still recommend it if it's your first visit and you want to try his signature dish. The potato purée was good, very airy and smooth compared to regular mashed potatoes. The carrots were fine but nothing special. We also ordered the wild roasted mushrooms as an extra side, and surprisingly, that ended up being our favorite dish of the night. We actually liked it more than the Beef Wellington. Even though the portions weren't huge, the truffle made us feel so heavy that we had to take the sides to go, which has never happened to me at a steakhouse before. We didn't even get desserts. Our server Allan was great and provided solid service. I'd definitely come back the next time I stay at this hotel, but I'd order my usual ribeye to see how it compares.

We celebrated our anniversary at Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse in Richmond and it was such a memorable night. The space feels perfect for special occasions, and of course we had to try the famous Beef Wellington for two. Served medium rare with glazed root vegetables, potato purée, and a rich red wine demi-glace, it's definitely worth experiencing at least once (though I still lean toward a classic steak). We also had warm bread, the Dungeness crab cake, mac and cheese, cocktails, peppermint tea, and for dessert the chocolate tart and sticky toffee pudding -- plus some complimentary treats like pâte à choux, a mini macaron, and a little chocolate bite. The star of the night for me was hands down the sticky toffee pudding. If this restaurant was closer, I'd honestly go back just for that. Food 4.5/5 (the beef Wellington was a bit under seasoned) Service 4.5/5 (overall it was good. It is very minor but I noticed that other tables that were celebrating their anniversary or birthday had a note on their dessert while ours didn't.) Ambiance 5/5 Parking 5/5 (free parking in the hotel parking garage)

We visited Gordon Ramsay Steak at River Rock Casino before a concert at the theatre, and it was a perfect start to the evening. The meal began with their soft, brioche-like bread and local butter, simple yet indulgent. Of course, we saved some bread to enjoy with the butternut squash soup, which was incredibly rich and full of flavor. Always enjoy this soup and we "cleaned" the bowl accordingly. For mains, I had the Cornish game hen, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The sautéed pea tip sprouts were an unexpected nice accompaniment that soaked up all the flavours. The standout dish, though, was the sablefish... super flaky, buttery, and full of depth from the dashi (though I definitely could've used a spoon for that broth!). We ended on a high note with the sticky toffee pudding, which was absolutely fantastic... warm, rich, and comforting. A little more ice cream would've been perfect to balance out the sweetness, but it was still great nonetheless. And of course, I can always have more ice cream.

Must try for the record. I have to try this talk of the town restaurant. Located with in River Rock casino and hotel. Parking is here is free, clean and state of the art facility. Service is excellent and our server is very helpful and friendly. Foods we ordered are excellent but pricey, presentation is 10/10. Main dish is the beef wellington huge and can feed 3-4 adult, but the beef is so pink not sure if this dish is really cooked rare. Serves alcoholic beverages, very neat place, washroom is immaculately clean. Not all credit card is accepted and there's extra charge for paying with credit card. It was my b-day when we visited and i got to blow my b-day candle. Family friendly, kids friendly, good for group. Romantic vibes is in the air. You guys should try it yourself but for me its really pricey: Kudos Gordon Ramsay another restaurant in town.

Made a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday as he enjoys watching clips of Gordan Ramsey's cooking to learn from. We were promptly greeted and taken to our table in the back in the formal dining room that's quieter and nicer than the front lounge of the restaurant that faces the casino and River Rock hotel lobby. The menu was explained to us by our server, along with the features of the day. I was pleasantly surprised that they offer mocktail features plus have three solid mocktails on the drink list, along with options like non-alcoholic beers and pop. My boyfriend ordered the Red Eye old fashioned and I got the One Night in Tulum mocktail. Both drinks were solid - no complaints. We ordered the warm bread, wild mushroom risotto, Jade Pure Australian wagyu striploin, Snake River Farms Wagyu skirt steak from Idaho, and fries. We were provided with a complimentary amuse buche which was excellent and our warm herbed bread came shortly after with spiced butter. This was pretty good and the rest of our food came shortly after we finished the bread - well timed out. I enjoyed the recommended Snake River Farms wagyu skirt steak as having just returned from Japan earlier this week, it was a nice fushion of both an wagyu and an American steak - rich, buttery, but meaty. The mushroom risotto was tasty and not overly salty, which I really appreciated, plus came with plenty of wild mushrooms. Fries were really good and the mustard aioli was better than I expected, as am not a big mustard fan. For dessert, we decided to split the famous sticky toffee pudding. It was nice but nothing to write home about. The restaurant did comp the dessert for my boyfriend's birthday, which was really nice, and the pudding did also have a special 'Happy Birthday' chocolate on it. Both food and service were solid. Was it the best we had? No, but it certainly didn't disappoint and we would definitely consider returning for another special occasion.

A new addition to River Rock Casino Resort, Gordon Ramsay Steak is a familiar name in the very competitive celebrity chef space. It's the first one to open in Canada, the vibe is of a classy steakhouse with modern touches. Some things I liked and a few I didn't, the bar is rather large but comfortable, due to design and location there is no privacy, as the it's open to the hotel lobby and visible to everyone even from the casino entrance, the restaurant is a whole different matter, tucked away, and a nice layout. Impecable service, from hostess to bartender to waiter, and maître d, very well choreographed, The food as expected is beautifully plated, the presentation was worthy of Michelin star, as for the bar, my martini was prefect. Things they can improve on, the lack of table clothes, as beautiful is to admire the marble tabletops, does not evoke a warm and upscale dining experience, please remove or replace the oddly shaped table lamp, the wine and spirits list is extensive, the dining menu however, I find it a little limited, they had meat selections from the US, Canada, Australia, and Japan, I tried the Jade Pure Farms Australian Wagyu, and the Idaho Snake River tenderloin, medium rare, neither exceptional, the Australian fillet was gamey and a bit chewy, the rest of the meal Soup, Salad, Bread, Sides, were delicious. I had a lovely evening, relaxing, and very pleasant, I would definitely visit again, specially because I didn't have the opportunity to try their signature dish, Gordon Ramsay's Roasted Beef Wellington.

The food was amazing however our particular waitress was not attentive and did not really provide appropriate service for the venue. We spent the first 30 minutes waiting for our menu and water. Similarly after giving us the menu, she did not return for another 30 minutes. This repeated several times such as dessert ordering and paying for the bill. Food service was quiet, efficient and tasty.

Visiting a Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant has been a dream for my mum and I for years. When we were in Vegas a few years ago, we didn't get a chance to try it there but as soon as we heard it was coming to Vancouver, it was a must try for both of us. This weekend, we were celebrating my mum's birthday which also happens to be in the same week as Mother's Day. So Ofcourse, Gordon Ramsay steak was the place we needed to be at. We made a reservation online which was such as easy process to do, but we did notice how fast the reservations were booking up. We ordered: - Miso Glazed Sablefish - Pan Seared Salmon - Sticky Toffee Pudding - British Stout Onion Soup - Heated Exchange Mocktail Food: the food was just as we expected it to be. DELICIOUS. I think we both inhaled our food because it was so good lol! Service: the service was wonderful right from the moment we got there to the time we left. I don't think I have anything negative to say. Shout out to our server, Brenda, who was amazing throughout the evening. Ambiance: the restaurant itself had a really interesting concept. As you enter, it leads to a very open space of tables and the bar which is considered the lounge area. However, as you walk through a gorgeous walk way, it leads you to a fine dining room and a door to the patio area. Absolutely loved the concept of how it was built. Loved how high end yet casual it felt while we were there. Overall, it was an amazing experience. My mum was very happy when we left and she's already thinking of our next visit! I'm so happy we had this experience to celebrate her.

The service here is fantastic--friendly and very professional. The staff is honestly the best part of the experience. We started with a complimentary pastry that was unexpectedly delicious. We had the warm bread with spread --make sure to eat it while it's warm. Next, we had the creamy wild mushroom risotto --delicious. Then we had The Beef Wellington--Ramsay's signature dish--looks stunning on the plate, with its perfectly rosy center and crisp pastry. But the flavours fall a little flat for our taste. It's not bad, just surprisingly underwhelming. The fries are average, saved only slightly by the dip beside them. For desserts, I agree with the recommended sticky toffee pudding for its deliciousness, but the tiramisu has a strong alcohol taste. Lastly, there's a complimentary small sweets of chocolate and macaroon. So, as a tip, there's a complimentary pastry at the start and a small sweet at the end. The Beef Wellington comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables, which is enough. We honestly thought the serving was small, so we ordered other appetizers and sides. Overall, it's a nice place with excellent service, but the food we had felt just "fine," not great.

First off, the bread isn't as good as usual. It was fine but nothing great and barely Luke warm. We always get asked if we want more bread but not on our visit here - a first. Our server was so busy and there was no supporting staff except to deliver the food from the kitchen. We didn't get asked if we wanted more bread, took 20 minutes to get our order in, our calamari appetizer never arrived and just our mains but by the time we could find our server we were halfway through our mains despite that I am a slow eater. The server did apologize and said he would bring the calamari and take it off the bill, which was nice. Calamari came in 10 minutes but portion looked small. When the server came by next he mentioned that it came quickly because he stole the order from another table - what?!? Am glad the calamari was free because it didn't taste great and portion was small. My boyfriend wasn't asked if he wanted another beer until we were at the end of the meal and when I asked for a water refill it took another 10 minutes. It took us over 2 hours to eat and not because I was slow eater but due to the slow service. We were looking forward to our Billy Miner pie but the server never mentioned it and as it took so long to find him we gave up on dessert and opted to go for dessert somewhere else. This must be a franchise location and not sure why it's so busy as service and food easily the worst Keg location I've ever been to and I have to most locations in the Lower Mainland plus Kelowna. Will definitely stick to the Vancouver and Burnaby locations from here on out. The bigger disappointment was that I wrote to the Keg to provide feedback and never heard back. The broccoli gratin was dried burnt broccoli with a sprinkle of parm. The Mac and cheese was bland. The food came out except for 1 prime rib. After 10 minutes, the server came to apologize and inform us that they were out of prime rib. He offered the prime rib sandwich on rush, which we appreciated. It came out quickly enough but was not good. There was too much fat to meat ration. However, I know why this restaurant continues to be booked and busy. I have been various times before but this was the first time in the last few years. I would describe this restaurant as western fine dining for a Chinese palate. You'll find some classic dishes but less heavy on the salt and grease, perfect for myself and the party I was dining with. I ordered the 5 course meal which was a fantastic deal for $65. The bread service at the start is so warm and yummy - don't skip out on it! The pesto sauce tiger prawns weren't overly pesto forward and had a strong presence of garlic - perfect for me! I loved the chowder as I especially like corn. The portion was also perfect considering I had many courses coming afterwards. Next, came the crab cake, which was generously filled with crab and paired with delicious house made butter. For each dish, I found the garnishes pleasing as well (especially the strawberry which was so sweet and ripe!). I think the best deal of the night was the steak. It was not too salty and cooked perfectly to a medium-rare. I managed to have leftovers as well since the portions were overwhelmingly good. Finally, the star of the night was definitely the chocolate soufflé for me. I loved the rich bitterness of the chocolate paired with ice cream on the side. I don't think this place is the best representation for fine dining. After all, they do not serve any alcohol. However, I think it is a great deal and accommodating to my taste buds. If I do not wish to drive out for fancy food, I know I can rely on the food at Shoestring café. As it is a family run business, there is only one person managing the front and I think they do a pretty good job at juggling all the duties of a host, server, and table busser! I would love to return soon.

Steamed mussels and soufflé were so addictive and heavenly. The mussels were savoury and buttery and the soufflé was airy with the perfect amount of sweetness. They were very good! Hits and misses for the mains. While the pasta and sauce were great, we wish the seafood were panfried or something to give it a bit more texture. The duck was well done but not tough (we generally like medium rare) though we were confused by why the skin was served down as crispy skin is always a plus for duck breasts. I'm not a fan of mashed potatoes but theirs was not overly heavy and buttery, which I really appreciated and enjoyed. This reminds me of Asian western food but they were tasty and the ambience was cozy - a local neighbourhood spot.
