I have loved Gordon's since they opened! Whenever I'm having dinner in the area, I will stop in and grab dessert at Gordon's. I'm kind of sad that they took away the brownies and beignets, but I love a good milkshake so I can't complain too much! The service can be a bit slow, but I think it's worth the wait. My favorite milkshake of all time is the buttery whipple. It's a seasonal drink that only comes around for the Butter Art Fair season, but I think about it all year around!

I personally was very underwhelmed by my peanut butter milkshake because there was no peanut butter taste. My partner got the vegan cookies and cream milkshake, and he enjoyed it, but even with trying his, there was not much of a cookie taste. I think he just enjoyed it because, most vegan options are pretty bland. I really wanted to like this place because it is black owned, but the service was very subpar, we were barely greeted upon walking in, and even when asking questions, the worker was not helpful in answering questions. For the price of these milkshakes, I'm not sure I will be returning for another try or not because they are on the more expensive side It is a nice location since it is directly on mass Avenue and near a lot of other places like the garage, but if you do go, you will have to pay for street parking in order to visit

My partner and I love milkshakes so we were excited to check this one out! Not our favorite so far, but they weren't bad! I wish my peanut butter brownie shake tasted more like peanut butter brownie - it more just tasted like a chocolate shake with some peanuts in it. My boyfriend got a custom milkshake with vanilla and peaches in it which he liked. I do appreciate that they allow you to make your own, because he doesn't like chocolate, so that gave him more choices than just the specialty shakes

I've walked by this spot so many times over the past year and finally decided to stop in now that it's summer. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't do it for me. The milkshake tasted very artificial and was way too sweet (and this is coming from someone who has a BIG sweet tooth). I ordered the red velvet love and the cake blended into the milkshake tasted old/stale. I tried to power through given that the specialty shakes are $13, but I couldn't even finish the whole thing because it made my stomach hurt. It's a shame because the shakes look so delicious but the taste just isn't right. I wonder if I just ordered the wrong thing or came in on an off day. Service was okay. The man working the register was nice but the other two workers making the shakes were not as friendly.

Super friendly service! I showed them a picture of a milkshake I saw that was on a review and not the menu and they kindly made it for me. Super good milkshakes!

I was walking with a friend on a very hot day along Mass Ave and was craving something cold. Stumbled upon this place during my walk and SO GLAD that I did! I quickly walked in and was happy to see how spacious it actually was compared to the outside! Plenty of seating which I always appreciate. The cashier behind the counter was very patient with me as I looked over the menu. I quickly ordered a chocolate milkshake and sat down. When I received it, the milkshake was very creamy and rich. Overall good experience and I will be back to try the ice-cream cause they have that too!

This is not Gordon's milkshake anymore, it has been bought out by someone else. It doesn't have its nice, clean, and fun vibe anymore. Definitely needs remodeling! Still great shakes! They just removed the Gordon and have new workers. But I wish the owner the best of luck!

What is this?! If I could give no stars I would. I'm visiting from out of town and this place was highly recommended. Why? Not sure. I always want to support Black Owned businesses so I was happy to visit. However, from the moment my friends and I stepped in, it was a lackluster experience. The employees and manager were not knowledgeable and they claim to have vegan and dairy free options but they only have vanilla soft serve that comes out of a pouch and the manager brought it out of the back to show us the powdered mix. The employees also mentioned that they buy the other ice cream from a store?? against our judgement we ordered and it was not good, and the brownie sundae we got was covered in lukewarm hot fudge and served over a hard thick brownie..to top it off, they served it in a foil pan. The dairy free ice cream had no flavor. This place is awful. Highly DO not recommend.

We hang out on Mass Ave, but haven't tried here before. I have to give them credit for some pretty epic milkshakes. That said, the space was cramped and unkempt. And the shakes were running over the sides and not quite up to my standards presentation wise for a $13 shake. There were also a lot of gnats. The staff were friendly, and I think with a little care, this place could be a nice treat.

This has been my favorite milkshake place in Indy since 2020. If you are visiting indy or have always lived here, you MUST try this place. The milkshakes are absolutely amazing and being someone who can't have dairy they can make almost any shake dairy free or vegan. Don't sleep on the other desserts they have available like the beignets, they are good too! The milkshakes/desserts are made to order, so depending on the time of the year, the wait can be long, but it's definitely WORTH it! I have not seen this place available for pickup or doordash, so you have to go there to order it. They have cute lighting and a few seats inside, so you can either take it to go or enjoy it inside!

This is a great spot in near Northeast Indy in the Mass Ave. area. It's located in an interesting commercial strip with several eateries, specialty shops and boutiques. Our future son-in-law found this spot for us to get a treat after our visit to the Zoo Lights display. The location was easy to find and street parking was adequate when we visited at around 9 PM on a Saturday. It is a small shop with only three or four tables plus a counter that could seat another three or four persons. The guy working that night was hilarious. It was relatively busy and he was by himself. Most people would be frazzled, but he was remarkably cool and calm. When we got to the front, he told us he just had two more shakes to make and he'd be with us. Five shakes later, he told us just one more. Three shakes after that, he finally got to us. I was not at the counter when the order was placed, but our daughter said she asked him how he was doing and his markedly mellow reply was "I'm doing good, it's all good". Hmmm....Nonetheless, he was certainly a very pleasant fellow. Putting aside the bonus people-watching entertainment, however, the ice cream creations were truly noteworthy. Our future son-in-law got the Midnight Cookies and Cream Shake and seemed quite happy with it. But it was a normal serving as opposed to the other two things we got. Our daughter got the ice cream nachos, which was an impressive amount of ice cream over flaky cinnamon sugar chips topped with whipped cream, chocolate chips and chocolate and caramel sauces. It was great. My wife and I split a Bread Pudding covered with Banana Bread Ice Cream. It was also a massive serving that really was meant to share. The Bread Pudding was served warm putting the perfect edge on this delightful creation. It was not cheap, as the final bill was well over $30 for the ice cream, tax and tip. But let's face it...it was well worth it. It was one of the most enjoyable ice cream treats I've had in a while and the ambiance of the area made it even more agreeable. We'll look forward to trying this establishment again.

I've been wanting to come here since they opened! So excited to have a milkshake that's dairy free and VEGAN whipped cream! Staff was really helpful about all of my non dairy options. They have plenty to choose from. I'll come back to try the others this summer for sure. Side note though they should consider selling chocolate cake as individual slices.

Following our dinner, we decided to grab a milkshake from Gordon's. The line was kind of crazy and there were only two very overwhelmed people working their hardest to make everyone's orders without getting behind. It probably took 30 minutes from the time we got in to the time we ordered and then to the time we got our shakes. I was kind of underwhelmed by mine and so was my husband. I really wanted ice cream and pie and was told they didn't have it. So that was disappointing. I did like that they put real cake in the shake! That gave it something extra and they have some unique options. I just didn't think it was worth a long line or good enough for what I purchased.

I recommend ordering ahead for a quick in/out and to make sure what you want is in stock. I've seen the line quite long, but you can get lucky with no line on a weekday. The inside is cute but there is no seating inside. You're going to get a little messy eating your cinnamon roll and want to be in the privacy of your own home anyway. My one very minor piece of feedback is I wish some rolls were sweet rolls (i.e. skip the cinnamon). Fruity Pebble is a little overpowered by cinnamon but I'd still get it. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family. While a lot of people prefer a sweeter espresso, I thought this was perfect and very true to a traditional tiramisu taste The Pear Kouglof reminded me of a fresh yeast donut that's been tossed in sugar This was a very kid-friendly pastry in taste and while I wasn't too blown away by it, it did make me wonder if I would have preferred it with a stronger, more potent, fruit. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up

That could not be more true. We both did Pick Two: I got a chicken salad sandwich and my mother got a turkey and cheese both with the soup of the day which was butternut squash. Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars. I wish we'd waited and walked into the larger one in Carmel and just shopped and got some cookies to go!

We later discussed how, during the Summer, it will be so nice if/when they open that door up to the outside air. You order at the counter, and then they bring it out to your table. My husband returned with a big glass bottle of cold water (and some of the flimsiest plastic cups that I've ever held). The water was a nice, and necessary, touch. The dishes are rich! They are rich in the best way possible, though. The event provided a complimentary crepe with your choice of fruit, and a cookie skillet with ice cream. My husband couldn't decide on which fruit(s) to get, so the employee just told him that they'd hook it up for us. The crepe came out, and it was so beautiful...it was almost too pretty to eat! They provided us with an array of fruit to accompany it; bananas, strawberries, pineapples, and kiwi. The addition of the fruit really helped to cut through the richness of the chocolate. The crepe was the perfect, delicate vehicle for all of it! I probably ate about a 1/3 of it, and tried so save room for the cookie. I'm not a real "sweets" eater, but everything here just looks so good! The cookie skillet came out warm, gooey, and with its own generous drizzling of chocolate under a scoop of ice cream (& whipped cream if my memory serves me correctly). The cookie by itself was really delicious. In the future, I will omit the addition of chocolate sauce. It really didn't need it. I look forward to another fun dessert date with my hubby at this really SWEET lounge! P.S. All of the portion sizes that I saw were shareable. Bae and I could've shared either one of those desserts and been good. I also saw a woman sharing a sweet treat with her two children, and several other patrons were sharing. We all know that sharing means caring!
