Near 8 pm, the service was still friendly and approachable. Mud Pie ice cream was delicious. My wife, a vegan, had their vegan chocolate ice cream. She 10/10 approves. I love this place. It is right in the village. It has indoor seating and a huge veranda porch as well as outdoor seating. Their ice cream is good. Their newest flavor that I love is a chocolate brownie malt ( sorry- not sure of the name) and my husband loves their salted caramel. Service is excellent. Believe it or not, you should be an "ice cream on a cold day" if it's for The Scoop. Like, that's the correct answer. The Scoop has the exterior of a charming little old Main Street home, with the swinging interior of a retro soda shop. It's incredibly cozy, and there's board games so you can sit and linger. I got the Frosted Malt Chocolate ice cream, which is a nice twist on a chocolate ice cream if you're not feeling too adventurous. They have a lot of flavors available that seem to accommodate well for lots of dietary needs, including a sugar-free Moose Tracks! My partner got the strawberry ice cream shake. Their ice cream definitely has real strawberries in it, because the milkshake tastes like a smoothie. Health! The ice cream is tasty. I got the lemoreo(10/10) and my partner got a coffee one which she stated was good but not the best. She also said that the inside of the establishment was chaotic-with sprinkles and just in general in disarray. I did not venture in as I was in charge of our hooligan doggo. They do have an amazing atmosphere-rocking chairs on a porch(as well as tables). We went on a hopping Friday night so there was also live music. The place may be cleanlier on not so busy of a day. I'm skipping dinner and gonna get straight to the pint! This place slaps every time. During an extended stay in the Zionsville area, I came here almost every other day, looking for a sweet treat, to beat the summer heat, after long walks on the rail trail. They have so many flavors, and in a few visits, I noticed they change the flavors out quite a bit... which can be a positive or negative thing, depending on if you discover your golden flavor. For me, I always like trying different flavors. I have a diverse icecream palate and don't mind trying something new. I tried various flavors, during many visits, including a decedent lemon one, which was out of this world amazing. I also had the raspberry cheesecake, which was so smooth and rich, with the perfect amount of berry and crust intertwined. The coconut one I had on my third visit was also very refreshing, and smooth. Yet, my favorite flavor I had during my many visits, was the key lime pie... it was so good, I swear I could eat a bucket of it if I had the freezer space. The coffee icecream was also phenomenal and I would eat it for breaky if my doctor approved. Their waffle cones are also delish, as are the toppings, if that's your thing. There's plenty of seating with rocking chairs and tables aligning the wrap around patio veranda. Perfect to sit back and chill. Staff here was all super accommodating, both to my food allergies, and to allow sampling. The spoons and cups are also super adorable. What a charming place along the brick street on Main Street in Zionsville. What looks like a house is actually the most cute ice cream parlor. I had the lemon Oreo ice cream and it was a 10/10! Two of my favorite flavors mixed together. My son had a freshly made waffle cone with the Cookie Monster and cookies and cream. While very messy, he enjoyed every bite. The place is perfect for kids. They have board games and a huge outside patio. We very much enjoyed our stop and it was the perfect place to stop after a day at the park. read more

On this hot and muggy day, ice cream sounded wonderful after having lunch at Friendly's. Street parking is limited and can be tricky, but 2 parking lots are on Main within walking distance. Many arrive on bikes, especially families living in the area. The Scoop is an ice cream parlor located in a gorgeous blue, two story Victorian house. As you approach, you'll see a cozy covered porch with white wicker tables and chairs. A full patio is located on the side of Scoop's with several wicker tables and chairs with a small pergola toward the back for partial shade. Indoors are two rooms with different sizes of tables with cute red chairs. The servers were friendly and provided samples if requested. The shop has 4 full cases of creamy and rich ice cream served in a cup, sugar cone, or cake cone. Upgrade your scoop to a waffle cone or waffle bowl, plain or dipped in chocolate with toppings for an additional $.60 plus they offer specialty sundaes and beverages. The Scoop is a wonderful addition to Main Street in downtown Zionsville. Family and dog friendly (on the patio), and makes all ages smile. read more

So here's the scoop - Fabulous service and ice cream! We showed up 30 minutes before opening to grab some ice cream for my granddaughter to discover it closed. She picked strawberry and we got a kiddie cup. The kiddie cup is pretty small for $4.09, I will say but still perfect for a 5 year old. The cones looked yummy dipped in chocolate and sprinkles but we did not try. They have tables inside, but we chose to eat outside on their patio and enjoy the beautiful weather. They have lots of seating outside and the tables were clean. The shop is in downtown Zionsville on Main Street. There is plenty of free street parking around the old converted house. We decided to pop by this little ice cream shop in the heart of the city to cool off on a hot day. A plethora of options for ice cream are in their chests as well as different options for cones and pre-concocted ideas for sundaes. I was slightly disappointed that there were no dairy-free/vegan options listed when we went, and I'm not sure if this is just because it was during COVID, or if there really aren't any options for that diet. However, we did thoroughly enjoy our ice cream. Prices are a little more steep than I was expecting, but I would have to say the banana cream pie ice cream was better than any pie I have ever had before. Rich, creamy, and delicious with a bit or crunch with the pie crust. My husband ordered one of the pre-concocted sundae options which included chocolate ice cream, peanuts, cool whip, syrup, and of course a cherry on top. Love the little converted house with wrap around porch converted to an ice cream shop! The ice cream was awesome! And I was delightfully surprised to see Graham Central Station in the chalk board. I thought it was a Handels thing. But it was just as good with the milky, Carmel notes in the ice cream with crispy bites of graham cracker. Love the business, the ice cream, the ambiance. Did not love that they have their spoons just in a big container for the customer to grab in an uncontrolled environment....so I just got a cone instead of a scoop, but for those that are germ adverse may want to bring your own spoon if you don't want the extra container calories. read more

Motivational/inspirational quotes sprinkled across chalkboards and perfectly framed pictures make The Scoop an insta-worthy place to grab a treat. It's honestly incredible! There's tons of "creations" designed for you to choose from, hot chocolate, drink assortments, and pints of to go ice cream neatly lined up. The ice cream options are somewhat traditional but the flavors are rich, considering we tried cookies and cream and it was superb! Ask the flavors were great and I had mine on a tasty waffle cone. I was as little indecisive with flavors and the service was weekly they were offering ways for me to get both flavors. I finally decided on one in a waffle cone. The washer cone was delicious... Not perfectly crispy, but perfect with my ice cream. It's walkable from anywhere in downtown Zionsville. The retail had some other items you could but including local brands like b. Happy ice cream. I definitely want to remember this as my dessert stop next time I'm in Zionsville! A friend and I stopped in here after watching free summer music in nearby Lincoln Park. A quick 3 minute walk and you stumble upon a house that could be described as grandma's house. It had a wraparound porch for you to enjoy your dessert outside in the warmer months. As you enter and explore the interior, there are tons and tons (and then more, lol) inspirational quotes and sayings. A bit much, but it was a cute touch. To my knowledge, they serve local ice creamery's Sundae's Homemade Ice Cream as the flavors are eerily similar. I wanted to try something new and adventurous, so I went with the Lemoero - lemon ice cream with chunks of OG Oreo bits throughout. Divine. I also tried the Graham Central Station flavor. Think graham crackers with some salt and with chocolate. Also divine. They have to-go pints of certain flavors with their branding on it. They also have a variety of options to dress up your ice cream, but I liked it plain, in a cup. They also have add-on's for you to purchase if you're trying to do a gift shop in one place. They have cards, books, religious-based gifts, and other odds and ends. The one thing to note: it's younger staff that you can tell aren't the owners or managers by any means. I asked a few questions and they looked at me with blank stares. A great place selling/serving locally made ice cream. Win win in my book. read more

And it's one thing to be located in a cute shop with lots of outdoor seating about 100 steps away from Lions Park. But the customer service here takes this place to the top. Let me explain ... My crew of kids and I came here after playing at the park, because swinging and sliding makes you hungry for ice cream, of course. So we bumble-fumble our way to the door, and realize that it's closed and doesn't open for two hours! Dang! But the woman inside opened the door and welcomed us in, saying she saw us at the door and couldn't turn kids away. Wow! I thanked her for being such an awesome human being. Although the service was prompt, when they asked if we wanted the homemade waffle cones (which were fresh and crisp), they made no mention that they were $2.50 per cone (without the ice cream!). My bill (with tax) for two cones (one single, one double) was over $16! I had seen the photos on Yelp and in those photos, the cones were only $1 or $1.25 extra. This place is so cute and welcoming! Located in Zionsville Village. It has a huge wrap around porch where you can enjoy your ice cream. I got their blueberry ice cream in a home made waffle cone. It was very good. I would recommend it to anyone. They offer live music some weekends on their back patio and they're open until 10 pm on weekdays and 1030 on weekends which allows you to grab a sweet treat after dinner! read more

Really delicious ice cream parlor! You can always tell a difference between store bought and parlor ice cream. The cones cost a lot more here and make a single scoop almost $8, a bit pricey honestly. The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. They often have live music out back in the patio with seating. The front porch has chairs to relax and enjoy the brick road scenery.
