I am all about a mom and pop shop/restaurant (especially one that can survive a pandemic), but this place really let this native Texan who loves Mexican food down. My burrito was absolutely tiny. Like the smallest burrito I've ever seen. Smaller than a can of soda. The gluten-free tortilla was pretty good, but the rest of my meal had zero flavor--something other reviewers had warned about. They also forgot to put sour cream and didn't include a lime wedge like it was mentioned on the website. The large queso is anything but large: about the size of a small quac at Chipotle. Speaking of Chipotle, if you're going to compete with a large chain business that is based on promoting farm-fresh ingredients your restaurant's food quality should be fresh, flavorful and unique... all the things Gordo's food sadly lacked. I couldn't even taste the queso it was so bland.. and no, I didn't have COVID. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and seemed like a nice place to dine-in. Perhaps the portions would be bigger when dining in versus take out. I appreciated that they had gluten-free options, so that's why I gave them 2-stars. We got rave reviews to come here. A little confusing when you walk in. There is a stand for a hostess but no one there. You go further in and we saw a drink cooler and the menu is on a chalk board. Lots of people ordering to go or picking up. Small menu but plenty of choices. I ordered nachos as an app and 2 crispy tacos with chicken. Nachos were good but the cheese is more like what you'd get at a gas station at the nacho bar. Chips were nice and crispy and looks like it was made there. All the toppings were under the chips which was kinda weird to me. The spices with the chicken (you pick the meat & beans) were really good. Chicken tacos weren't anything to write home about. Someone got fish tacos said it was good. Effort was there and the people were nice. read more

This is a hidden gem of a Mexican Restaurant. Located at the end of a strip mall is Gordon's. It is a walk up service restaurant. We ordered an app of Nacho Fries. My husband and I each got a burrito. The food was fresh and flavorful. It didn't not taste like hot plate Mexican food like many Mexican restaurants do. There is a wall of hot sauces to try. The staff was friendly and prompt. This is one of the better Mexican Restaurants we have been to in New Hampshire. read more

Ordered a quesadilla here a little while ago. Was really good quesadilla and comes with 2 sides but I just got double rice! Quesadilla had nice Mexican flavor to it with lots of cheese and chicken. Food is great! Was my one of my faves, but my COVID experience was disappointing. Did a recycle run from nearby Chester, we usually hot Gordos after, about 25 min from home. During COVID you had to call in, so we tried before we left and a couple of times on the way, one more time after recycles. We decided to see if we could walk in for take out, since we couldn't. There was a lady picking up, and then the hostess took a call in, a long on, to be ready in 20 min. I explained we tried to call, she said no problem and took my order, told her we would wait outside. She told me my three burritos would take 50 min. I asked why and she said she only took my order as a favor, she wasn't supposed to. I asked what that had to do with 50 min and she said she did me a favor, and shrugged. I cancelled and left. I still highly recommend it, only texmex around and it's very good. Just disappointed by that experience, so won't be back for a long while. read more

Customers beware, this establishment disguises credit card surcharges as "cash discounts". This is a statement from Visa: "A discount for cash is different from a surcharge. The rule states the posted price must be for cards, however, merchants can provide a lower price for cash acceptance. Discounts for cash are allowed by Visa. However, merchants are not permitted to post a price for cash, and then charge a higher price for cards." Gordo's posts a sign about a cash discount but the prices listed at the cash prices which does not define a discount. This practice is very unethical. read more

First of all. What the heck! I just found out about this place and the food here is amazing! I wish these guys were situated in a busier area so they get more business exposure but their food was amazing! I love their steak breakfast burritos and huevos rancheros breakfast burrito. I did also have their chicken quesadilla and steak burrito. Their Horchatas are amazing although its pretty much covered in sugar so if you are diabetic, horchatas arent good for you. Love when I keep ordering The fabulous taco salad it would be nice if I didn't have to keep asking for lettuce you're going to charge me $15 but not give me any lettuce and today was the second time I've been into the lettuce and there was ahard I guess Rock in the lettuce. Gordo's kicks ass now. I'm not sure if they got a new chef, or if I've just branched out more with my ordering. I used to get the plain chicken quesadilla. The spicy chicken quesadilla is SO good. Went out to eat with my family here... will never go again. Found a grill brush in one of our burritos, and a hard price of what seemed to be plastic in the other one. Im not sure what happened to Gordos, but something has gone wrong. My first review, as you can see - was glowing. As of the last year, take out for a small order takes anywhere from 30min to an hour. Really? I called tonight to place an order for my family, as we do every so often. I wanted a soft taco meal for my son, but I wanted to lettuce and tomatos held, JUST cheese on the tacos. The girl on the phone had a REALLY hard time understanding this. We were literally on the phone going back and forth for five minutes trying to get her to understand what I was trying to order (a soft taco meal, with no lettuce or tomatos). After she thought she got the order right, she wanted to move onto the next item that I was going to order. I asked her to repeat my first order, "A soft taco meal, no filling" - I said, yes - I do want a filling, you never asked me what filling I did want - which was ground beef" - She said, "oh, um, OK - so you want a filling?" - Here is where I lost it. She ordered me two soft taco shells. REALLY?!?! I asked her if she fully understood what I was ordering, she said yes and gave me a snotty condescending giggle. - I went over it AGAIN with her - and she still didnt get it. After all of this, I was done. I told her I no longer wanted place an order, and I was done ordering from Gordos - after being a customer since the day they opened. To the Management: You have a great product. Time to step up your service, both in the kitchen and at the front end. If you know you have a high volume of orders on a Friday night, HIRE EXTRA STAFF. You will continue to lose customers because of the lack of quality service, regardless how good your food is. read more

Just had lunch here for the first time. I ordered the Taco plate and got shrimp in one and chicken in other. Mine came with a side of beans, I got the pinto beans with bacon and a side of rice. We also ordered the Chipolte BBQ chicken wings Oh my goodness so YUMMY . My brother got the steak burrito, the steak in his burrito is some of the best steak I have ever tasted, grilled / seasoned perfect! I really cant say anything bad about this place. I love this place. I didn't think Raymond + Mexican could = delicious. they do have a couple of beers and they do have some basic drinks like margaritas. They close early so don't be showing up much after 7:30 as they close at 8. it's not always easy to get through on the phone because they are just that busy. I have met one of the owners when she fills in on the front counter and she's very very nice. I keep getting the same thing cuz it's just so darn good - 2 BBQ chicken tacos. I only have one suggestion...and that is I think that the baked goods on the counter should be covered with plastic and not out in the open. I will never eat anything that's out in the open like that because I'm a germaphobe. Once I start seeing them covered I'm sure I'll be eating them. Support your local businesses! read more
