Halfway through my tiny burrito and the sour cream is no where to be found. The amount of chicken was sad.

I am all about a mom and pop shop/restaurant (especially one that can survive a pandemic), but this place really let this native Texan who loves Mexican food down. My burrito was absolutely tiny. Like the smallest burrito I've ever seen. Smaller than a can of soda. The gluten-free tortilla was pretty good, but the rest of my meal had zero flavor--something other reviewers had warned about. They also forgot to put sour cream and didn't include a lime wedge like it was mentioned on the website. The large queso is anything but large: about the size of a small quac at Chipotle. Speaking of Chipotle, if you're going to compete with a large chain business that is based on promoting farm-fresh ingredients your restaurant's food quality should be fresh, flavorful and unique... all the things Gordo's food sadly lacked. I couldn't even taste the queso it was so bland.. and no, I didn't have COVID. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and seemed like a nice place to dine-in. Perhaps the portions would be bigger when dining in versus take out. I appreciated that they had gluten-free options, so that's why I gave them 2-stars. I will continue my search elsewhere for authentic, flavorful Mexican food!

We got rave reviews to come here. A little confusing when you walk in. There is a stand for a hostess but no one there. You go further in and we saw a drink cooler and the menu is on a chalk board. Lots of people ordering to go or picking up. Small menu but plenty of choices. I ordered nachos as an app and 2 crispy tacos with chicken. Nachos were good but the cheese is more like what you'd get at a gas station at the nacho bar. Chips were nice and crispy and looks like it was made there. All the toppings were under the chips which was kinda weird to me. The spices with the chicken (you pick the meat & beans) were really good. Chicken tacos weren't anything to write home about. Someone got fish tacos said it was good. Effort was there and the people were nice.

If you are looking for Taco Bell type of food, don't come here. If you want great Mexican food, Gordo's is the best choice.

food was good but a bit dry i think more sour cream, juicy meat, and salsa would make it better

Hole in the wall Mexican place, a stones throw off 101. The food is consistently ok. Prices are alright ($10 for a burrito or quesadilla).

Excellent food!! We love Gordo's! The portions are generous, and I would consider it good value. It's sort of a hidden gem.

We arrived about an hour before closing & had no issues getting a table for two. Shortly after receiving utensils and the menus, we were given complimentary chips & salsa! The salsa was tasty & has a nice kick to it. I found it very additive to eat with the chips. We ended up ordering these dishes to try: - empanadas (chicken, beef, & pork) - quesabirrias; Birria tacos w/ consommé + rice & beans - Birria quesadilla w/ consommé + rice + salad OMG, everything tasted AMAZING! All of our dishes came PIPING hot, including the consommé dips for the Birria tacos and quesadilla. The quesabirrias were my favorite & star of the show for me. They were perfectly crispy, seasoned well, & I also loved how light (yet still flavorful) the consommé was! This came with rice & beans and let me tell you... I normally don't even eat refried beans but I couldn't help myself today because I find that refried beans can be too thick & sometimes burnt. This was not the case today though! Also paired super well with the rice & a little lime. The Birria quesadilla was yummy. It was loaded with lots of meat & cheese. Great portion sizes! For our appetizer, we ordered one of each empanada protein option they had: one chicken, one beef, and one pork. I didn't have a favorite empanada because honestly they were all really tasty! Full of flavor & came loaded with cheese. I will definitely be back again the next time I'm in Manchester, NH! Service was wonderful, restaurant was clean, & food was perfect. Highly recommend trying El Rincon Zacatecano if you find yourself in the area ;)

I really liked the vibe of this place, small but good music, not too loud. Very amazing service!…read more Their enchiladas de pollo y chorizo really hit the spot! Such good filling, I did think the menu said queso fresco and if I'm not mistaken I didn't receive that. They were a bit spicy, but I really enjoy spicy food. The rice was fluffy and the beans had such good flavor. My drinks were good but the one that was supposed to be super spicy was on the sweater side. I do think the big cups = more juice/ mix, which I do not prefer. Tacos were good. There is free parking in the back on the weekends!!
