J-Town was amazing. Great service and food. I had a sausage egg and cheese on an english muffin and every element was spot on. The homemade breakfast sausage gets a 10/10 and THANK YOU for using real eggs for the breakfast sandwiches. An angel loses its wings every time an egg patty is heated in a microwave. I also had the jerk chicken wrap for lunch. I was worried about getting a wrap as it was going to sit for a few hours until lunch time, but it held up perfectly. And it wasn't dry either! The restaurant/Country Store is quite interesting. Located in beautiful Jackson, NH and recommended to try from Yelp. There is plenty of parking with indoor or outside seating. A true American old country store. When you walk in, there is so much to look at, many jars of different pickled items. Knick Nacks, cards and such. There is a great bakery case next to the deli case where you order your sandwich. I believe there are twelve different sandwiches. I got the number eight which was a grilled panini filled with deliciousness...chicken, pesto, baby spinach, and roasted red peppers. My boyfriend got a turkey club wrap with chipotle mayo. He loved it! I can't remember what number his was. They call your name when ready. You can grab any type of chips, beer, wine, or soda and then pay. Plenty of seating inside. Very quaint. Our favorite lunch on this trip! Honestly....the best bread I have ever eaten in my life on the Italian sub. It's bizarre-we've had bread all over New Hampshire & it's all been so good--I think they need to put "THE BREAD STATE" on their license plates. Great prices in this cute country store, very nice staff who let us use the bathrooms AND throw out our trash which the place we ate at the day before (similar business--VERY popular on Yelp) did not allow us to do. Stopped in here on a whim for some lunch and we are so happy we did! We had their one of their special sandwiches which was a monte cristo and it was perfectly toasted and was bigggg! My husband and I split it and it was plenty for our lunch. We stayed in Jackson for 2 nights and wanted to try everything local and we found this little gem right across the street from the golf course. They have a lot of options to choose from for breakfast. The server told me that they use local herbs in food. We ordered grilled chicken wrap, scrambled egg sandwich, avocado toast, and bagel. This place is really cute. It has a lot of nostalgic items and the biggest jar of fluff I have ever seen. We heard great things about this place from people we talked to around. I had the Honey Roasted Turkey Chipotle Wrap. It was OK - nothing great but not bad - but for the price I expected something more. G had the meatball sub - which was lacking and a big let down. We've been here a few times to shop and have brought home the marinated chicken, breakfast sausage and different flavors of the regular sausage. We enjoyed them all. We stopped in recently for breakfast. It's an order at the counter and have the food brought to you kind of place. I started this review 2 years ago, and noticed it wasn't published. Oops. Buddies and I were up in Jackson skiing for the weekend. Stopped in here both mornings for coffee and egg sandwiches. Their sausage patty is 1/4lb size! Got it with two eggs and cheddar on everything bagel and it was amazing. Friendly and fast service. Coffee was great as well! Great wraps. We stopped twice to get wraps for lunch while skiing Ellis River. DH had the Turkey wrap and the ham and cheese. I had a veggie wrap which was delicious and the roast beef wrap-also great. And the cookies. Huge filled with chocolate and dried cranberries plus oatmeal so you felt you were a little healthy but chewy and delicious. They also sell lots of hand knit hats and jewelry made by area artisans. I like trying new random places I've never been so I wanted to stop in here for a cupcake because I saw on here that they sell them and whoopie pies. Well, when I got there they had none. I even asked the lady if they had either and she just looked in the counter and said no. I was like okayyy??? This was at around 2pm so I don't know why more weren't made or being made. They seemed wiped out of everything (not sure if that's a good or a bad thing). I didn't want to leave without buying something so I grabbed a dark chocolate turtle (that was $4) it was good at least. The store itself was cute and charming though I liked how it looked inside.
