Went here on a Wednesday evening for a birthday dinner on the patio. Our waitress was so so kind and helpful. She gave us recommendations and made sure we didn't feel rushed. The food came out at a good pace and was so delicious. Will definitely be back to try some other things!

Not gonna lie, this is one of my favorite places to go! There's something for everyone's palate. I don't have it pictured, but my favorite dish is the Thai Noodle Salad. The crispy chicken sandwich is another go-to. It's probably hands down the best crispy chicken sandwich I've had. The service is great. They have daily lunch specials & a full bar for those wanting cocktails or mocktails. If you want good sushi, they also have a handful of rolls to choose from!

Can I get an amen y'all? I enjoyed this place far too much. I love the little attention to detail. I loved the energy of everybody in this place. The food was incredible. The service was really good. I always like seeing managers walk around and checking on the guest. Everybody was oh tentative to all the guests that were in the building. Fantastic job.

Another great experience at Jimmy B's! The steak and fried rice is my new favorite, along with the butterfly effect cocktail!

This restaurant has been here for awhile and I somehow am just now learning about it. We came for our monthly girls night out. The servers were attentive and helpful. The foodceas delicious as well.!The noodles and salmon were perfectly seasoned. I had no leftovers to take home afterwards. If you want to take advantage of happy hour, arrive between 3 and 5:30. The butterfly drink is not on the happy hour menu but the lavender foam ia well worth it.,

Food and drinks were delicious .I asked Taylor about happy hour specials and he told me there was only one drink .When I got to the table there was a whole happy hour drink for 10$ and i was charged 17$ for an old fashioned. I did ask him at the bar and it was taken off but if you have drink specials tell me .Super cute spot and they have a cute patio w a fireplace

They asked me to message them 15 days ago in order for management to contact me. Still haven't heard from anyone. Is this really happening at a hal smith restaurant? I had a similar bad experience at a sister property. Not sure who's doing the hiring but maybe someone needs to do some firing. I've been in customer service. This is bad.

I only ever have good things to say about Jimmy B's. I've been a handful of times and every single dish has been amazing. The place itself is very cute and classy. A step above casual dining! And the service is always attentive. Absolute favorite starter is their burrata on focaccia bread. I N C R E D I B L E! Like melt in your mouth bread, light but so flavorful, and overall the perfect app. I've had a bunch of sushi rolls from this place. I only have a picture of the spicy tuna. Light and refreshing. I've had the coconut shrimp roll (heavier, sweet, and filling) as well as the hiramasa roll which is my favorite. It's like an elevated spicy tuna roll. Their drinks are also fantastic. Two of my favorites are the butterfly effect and the panda milk! Definitely check this place out if you haven't already!

we went for brunch on Saturday and had the best time! tried their breakfast ramen for the first time and it was INCREDIBLE! absolutely loved the flavors and the uniqueness of this brunch item! ordered the melon salad as a side and absolutely loved it! our server was so attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. Jimmy B's never disappoints and we continue to come back!

Went to Jimmy B's for happy hour on Friday. It was a lovely day and we took a table on the patio. The restrauant is a modern venue with a nice vibe and ambience. We had a table close the fire place. The only problem is with the Broadwzy traffic noise. Normal traffic is not too bad, but you have the occasional Harley rider and vehicles with loud exhaust systems. Still, I really enjoyed the patio. I ordered an Old Fashion and Jan had a Cab. We ordered three items from the "Social Hour" menu. We started with Wagyu Dumplings. They were quite nice, very tasty, loved the sauce. For our second item we ordered California Rolls. The rolls were made with Avacado, chive, crab mix and Cucumber. Not sure what crab mix is. Didn't taste any crab in the rolls. They were good and we enjoyed them. We finished up with Ramen. We were split on our rating of the Ramen. I thought it was excellent, Jan thought it was OK, just average. It was definitely hardy and more than adequate quanity, even shared. We weren't able to finsh the Ramen. We turned happy hour into dinner and saved some money. The service was very good. Glad that they are part of the downtown/midtown restrauant scene.

This is my whole family's favorite restaurant in our home state. The food here is incredible and there's not a bad thing on their menu. The Osaka sushi is our favorite, and everything tastes so fresh every time. The Korean beef, steak noodle salad, and chicken sandwich are some of my favorites. Top quality ingredients and amazing service, the restaurant feels cozy and comfortable. Absolutely 5 star food quality.

If you have food allergies this is a great place to try! Absolutely loved!! First time going to Jimmy B's and honestly will go back just for the service. Our server Gabriel was incredible, I have severe allergies to nightshades & gluten and his tone his attitude was so refreshing. Rachel the manager went above and beyond, answered all my questions they have for their new holiday drink menu! Which you have to try!! My filet was cooked perfect, their hand cut fries have a designated fryer just for the so they aren't cross contaminated with anything. Super grateful for them, excited to add a new restaurant to the list. The place itself is super cute aesthetically as well! They allowed me to feel comfortable ordering whatever I was able to, because of their awareness of my food allergies.

Gluten Free Pan Seared Salmon and Lip Smackin' Deviled Eggs

KABOOOM!!! Mind and taste explosion! We once again found this place by chance , as we do so many great restaurants. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable about all gluten free have and have-nots. He even double checked with the chef and manager to make sure all food I ordered was gluten free. We ordered the GF deviled eggs to start the party off and OMGoodness they are poppin' with flavor. For my meal I got the GF pan seared salmon with rice and broccolini. It also had deliciousness sprinkled all over it. The kindness of the staff mixed with the fantastic food definitely makes this a 'go to' place for us. I didn't have any reaction whatsoever. A++ experience.

Humidor: It's small, but everything in stock is top shelf. Well stocked also. Staff is very helpful in finding what you're looking for and making recommendations. 10% off for military, vets, and first responders (cigars only). You can smoke on site, which is getting rare these days. Bar & staff: Nothing short of outstanding. Friendly, chatty (if you want that) and make the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. 3 different bartenders, 3 old fashioneds, all amazing. I told them they need to have a "mix off" for bragging rights. They're considering it. If Old Fashioned isn't for you, very wide selection of top shelf liquor, wine, and beer. Wanna play "Stump the Bartender"? I dare you. They'll know how to make it. Atmosphere: Lots of locals and a few visitors like me. Very welcoming. Told me a lot about the city and made me feel welcome. Definitely not a snooty "you're not from here," vibe. They welcomed me as one of their own. Not a sports bar, per se, but the games were on the one TV, which is fine with me. No kitchen on site. If you need food before your liquor, eat beforehand. Bottom line: My go to place in OKC. Should be yours also. Miss y'all already. Hope to be back soon.

Approaching the parking lot, I noticed cars parked in an area full of shops and art expos closed…read moreduring non-business hours. I got out of my Uber, and I saw a couple walking into the main building. One would assume that everyone is there for art and passes by thinking nothing of it, but I knew there was a secret entrance waiting to be found. I tipped my Uber and walked in. The couple was gone, and all that was left were closed shops in a long wooden hallway. In the Hallway was a man in normal clothes. He said, "The lounge?" Yes, I replied, and he asked for my ID. I showed it to him, then he pointed to a black box on the wall with a moon sticker on it. I pushed it, and the wall opened like an Indiana Jones movie. First impressions are important, and I was impressed. The hidden entrance established the secrecy and exclusivity that I expected from a speakeasy. The Lunar Lounge featured a 1990s retro space theme. This included decorations and art. They had their business logo on the wall, a mural of a naked women sitting on a crescent moon with long red hair covering her private parts. There was a robot-shaped snack machine with a mini tube television for a head, static on the screen with angry black electrical tape making his eyes and mouth. The music was energetic without overpowering people's conversations. Calling ahead of time, I met with a bartender who explained to me that they had no intention of becoming a speakeasy; they wanted to create a safe place for their friends who were part of the LGBT community to express themselves out of sight of public view without fear of judgment or discrimination. Basically, meeting every requirement of a Modern Speakeasy. The owner did a good job creating a convivial atmosphere. People were friendly and socially warm in this relaxed environment. According to the Annuals of Tourism, "Convivial atmospheres are powerful in that they carry with them a transformative potential in terms of individuals' openness to and anticipation of future encounters, and their attendant feelings"(Rokka). The Hosts, therefore, created an Atmosphere catered to their intended Patrons. Even though the secret entrance and the atmosphere made this speakeasy impressive, the focus is on the drinks. Now, a bartender does not need to be a master at mixology, but for the sake of the evaluation, there are a few things people tend to look for in a drink. I personally evaluate a cocktail based on the balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, and aftertaste. According to the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, "mixologists, with their aesthetic approach, contribute to transforming mixology into a form of cultural and creative expression" (Creta). I ordered a sophisticated drink from their menu, wondering what they might do differently. I ordered their Cosmopolitan, a signature cocktail. Instead of putting one shot or two shots, the bartender put a shot and a half. This made the alcohol blend in with the sweetness, not too sweet, so that someone would not drink it too fast. With the cranberry juice, he added a space candy garnish shaped like the moon, and as it dissolved, it started to dye the drink blue. After I finished the drink, I ordered it again from a different bartender, and she made it the same way. I saw consistency; all their signature cocktails looked cold, full of artistic expression, and used high-quality ingredients. Now, an argument I would consider valid concerning Speakeasies is: "A real Speakeasy is a traditional hidden room within a restaurant or cave with formal attire and with jazz music." And to a point, I would agree, but at that time, cave networks were maintained, and Restaurants were a family business where you could make a secret room without corporate overreach or whistleblowing. Those places were modern at the time. Today, Speakeasy simply means to go somewhere to drink away from the general public to speak easily. This could be two construction workers getting off work to go to an exclusive place where most union workers go to relax after work, to a private room where two politicians talk shop out of earshot of the public, or to a restaurant turning into a bar after business hours and bringing in a DJ, karaoke or actual theatre. All of these activities meet the constantly changing environment that would and could be seen in a speakeasy. Ultimately, the Lunar Lounge succeeds because it captures the cultural purpose of a speakeasy, with secret doors leading to a convivial atmosphere and well-made cocktails. Based on my data and experience at the Lunar Lounge, I would consider it a modern speakeasy. The 18th Amendment wasn't just about stopping the sales of alcohol. It was about stopping people from expressing themselves in America and spreading cultural influence. The Lunar Lounge met my basic evaluation of a speakeasy, not just the physical building, but also the Freedom of Expression that its customers enjoyed.
