I dealt with them three or four times and I unfortunately had a pretty bad experience. - New battery swap was done incorrectly and they did not connect the battery to the car's computer and this lead to numerous issues. They also did not return the old battery as requested. - I was charged for a compression test I believe they did not perform. My Lexus CT 200H was in dying need of a new battery after nine years with over 146K miles. Gosch Bros Auto Pros: Derick and Dylan went above and beyond to get my car into the shop when it was not running. I shared with Derrick during my last oil change from another shop all the recommended services (i.e., front ball joints, front shocks, dust boot, and rear shocks) needed for my car I was holding off on due to the high cost. They completed a full inspection of my car and shared what they found and what I needed to replace via text with pictures, plus a quote for labor and parts. My front ball joints and front shocks looked good and did not need to be replaced per previous recommendations. Also, my front brakes and rear brake pads have 5000 miles left on them. They got my car up and running by replacing a new starter battery and rear shocks since they were leaking by the end of the day. It's hard to find an honest, reliable, and trustworthy place that does not try to upsell you for services you don't need. We cannot thank the Gosch Bros Auto Pros enough for helping us during a very stressful situation! We had just gotten our car washed at the Auto Pride in San Carlos, and that left us with a steering wheel issue. Basically, our steering wheel felt stiff and made sounds when we tried to turn it. We were panicking since our car's dealership was closed, so we took a chance by showing up to Gosch Bros unannounced. When we showed up, they dropped everything to help us even though we did not have an appointment. All in all, it took about 5-10 minutes for them to figure out what was wrong with the car. However, we were so grateful that they helped us even without an appointment, and they did not even want to charge us for their help. Thank you two for helping us get home safely! Dylan and Derick are great! They are the nicest of people, have excellent customer service and know their cars. I brought in my Lexus as there was an issue with one of my tires. They were able to locate the tear in the tire and patch it quickly. The service they provided for just a tire made me feel like they really enjoyed their job. They have a lot of customers as I see different vehicles parked out front of their shop, getting ready for repairs, but they never made me feel like they were too busy for a basic tire issue. Its hard finding a mechanic that is honest and has fair prices. When I first got a quote through yelp, I could tell how friendly and fair this shop was. I also wanted to support a local small business and set thats why I went for this auto repair shop. So I made an appointment on a Saturday and I was there about 5 mins late but they were ready and had the paperwork for me. We spent time discussing issues and what I wanted fixed and I felt like I was well taken cared of. They had the best price (I contacted about 10 other shops all over SF) to get my radiator replaced. I also had a check engine light on and they were able to diagnose and fix that by adding more transmission fluid. It took about 3 hours for the whole process and they found out that a part near my brake pads was on backwards and let me know and had fixed that for me for no extra charge. I was also alerted that my axle was extremely degraded and quoted me on the spot to have that replaced. I liked the friendliness, detail/communication, and fair prices. Bonus for them showing me close up pictures of the issues on my car. Overall it was an easy and quick process, I had gone and explored some shopping areas nearby as I waited and they were very communicative through phone on when my car would be ready. I have already set up another appointment to have my axle fixed and I will definitely be coming back for all my car needs in the future. read more

I had my 2009 prius "check engine" light on that somehow caused smog test failing. I got recommended to Gosch Bros Auto Pros. I brought my car there to have the initial diagnostic by both Dylan and Derrick. They are brothers, young but professional mechanics who are very friendly, explained everything as detailed and understandable as possible to me. Then, it took them sometime to check the price of replacement parts, and gave me a competitive quote. I brought in my car for repair work. Along the way, they were responsive, and communicative. I was well informed in a friendly way. Finally, the car repair was done. The check engine light issues were fixed. Smog test was passed. The final price was still the same. I was somehow a bit doubtful of whether an ideal mechanics: honest, friendly, care for your interest, knowledgeable, but with a fair price would exist, especially in bay area. I think Gosch Bros would be closed to this ideal. The whole experience is very pleasant. If I have car issues in the future, I will not hesitate to get their help again. read more

More than I expected! Honestly,I went to many auto shops asking for quotes on my Toyota Corolla to fix the rattling noise which was my shocks that needed replacement.
