Their location is easy to access and we will be returning on a regular basis!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother recently called Temple Veterinary Hospital Medical &…read moreSurgical Center to schedule an appointment, and what happened was so outrageous it deserves to be publicly documented. The staff refused her service outright, claiming she had "cussed out" and "verbally accosted" them during a previous visit. Here's the problem: She has NEVER been there. Not once. Not ever. Instead of listening when she calmly explained they were confusing her with someone else, the staff talked over her, raised their voices, and doubled down on their false accusation. They escalated the situation themselves, then blamed her for their own mistake. It was unprofessional, hostile, and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when she asked to speak with Dr. Gosney, she was told he "wouldn't" speak with her--again, based on an incident that never happened. No attempt to verify records. No apology. No basic respect. Just arrogance and incompetence. If this is how they treat someone who hasn't even walked through their doors, I shudder to imagine how they treat actual clients and their pets.

Princess Charlie has recovered well!…read more We've been taking our pets here for the last three years. A few months ago there was a growth that started on her forehead, above her right eye. As a homecare remedy, I used what was recommended in hospitals - chlorhexidine spray. Seeing that after a few more weeks, the awkward shaped "bubble" wasn't getting smaller. It also started to appear dried, but it looked like a goat's horn; Princess Charlie became a lopsided unicorn... I scheduled a doctor's visit at Family Pet Clinic for surgical removal in May 2023. Excellent job done! It was funny seeing Charlie try to maneuver with her cone. She overcame any difficulties like a trooper! Side notes: This kitty is a survivor; a rescue from the feral traps at my daughter's university. As a kitten, she was super tiny - just a tad bigger than a palm. She's the royal age of 7 now. I wasn't ready for her to leave us - NO WAAAAY! Dr. Rena Dunahoo and her staff took really great care of our little meowy. The procedure only took a day; and sutures were removed after a couple weeks. Thank you so much Family Pet Clinic!!! Everything's all really good now. Our tiny tiger is back to her luxurious lifestyle of the best and longest cat naps, lotsa cuddles and sniffies, tidy litter box, food and water being served to her. Best of all she's a sweetheart! Dr. Rena Dunahoo and her staff are her heroes!

I can now say that I've seen consistently dismissive/rude front desk staff. They aren't friendly, have attitude, and are usually just bare minimum when it comes to professionalism. I can't stand dealing with the front desk people, it's like you're inconveniencing them from something they'd rather be doing. The vet I see is older and experienced but rushed, which leaves me wondering a lot and I don't feel like I ask enough questions in time. And because I'm rushing I feel slightly anxious and forget what I was even going to ask. Some of the vet techs are nice and friendly, and maybe one office staff person that I've experienced. Most visits are as I described. And I get it, they're a lower-cost veterinary office than others and they take Care Credit but two years of consistently bad experiences brought me to this review and also quitting this vet. I prefer Loop 363, they are very professional and friendly and dr bodecker takes her time, she looks things up with me when she doesn't know the answer, she really seems to care when she's in the room. Night and day difference with Loop363 vs Animal Medical Care. AMC is constantly busy so they're running appointments in an out like cattle, it's just a terrible experience overall.

I think everyone should be upset with them holding medication ransom to treat a $2.00 sick chicken, demanding a $85 dollar fee even before the cost of the medication. It's claimed I berated their receptionist wit profanity when actually I was berating the situation. The receptionist took it upon herself to to become offended at me being upset. After I canceled an upcoming appointment telling them I would take my business elsewhere. I received a return call where I was told I was no longer welcome there with my other Animals (that they have received THOUSANDS of dollars for treating in the past two years) as if they are on some type of higher moral grounds with their demonstration of fake compassion and empathy for MONEY. So the takeaway from all this is to understand there is no loyalty points or frequent user awards given here if you show you're a real person and get upset or see their act for what it is - they will simply let your animals die rather than care for them. In addition if they can survive and be fine without the thousands and thousands of dollars I spend there annually, they obviously don't need your money either. Apparently they have pulled the wool over enough people eyes and hold enough medication for ransom from sick animals to keep them in the $$$ for quite some time. Unfortunately, the needless death of Bloomers the chicken is inevitable. Ironically, I doubt the needless death of Bloomers will have near the emotional effect on their receptionist as one of their customers getting upset. They may need to relearn to fake their understanding and compassion to include the fact that people get angry and upset at times. Beware! you are being recorded and they will threaten to use those recording to attempt undermining any negative review. Perhaps be aware of any other undisclosed recording devices being used at this establishment, you just never know.
