There were many points where we left the stop scratching our heads trying to understand why we even stopped. My friend had to jump in to correct one of the stories. We went on his haunted pub crawl. It starts at noon River at 1030pm. They allow you into the haunted 2nd floor, though I've heard different stories at this point why it's haunted. Regardless it is. I got a kick out of Spooky Steve trying to startle people and his creepy voice effects during story telling. He has been in travel channel and you can find articles he's done by googling him. We stopped at several places & really enjoyed the tour, though I didn't get any ghosts this time unless the one strange blurry picture for no reason in moon River counts.

While I usually do not engage directly directly to the tour creator, I felt it had be done as I was thouroughly dissastisfied with the experience.  Firstly, it started with the poor signage and the difficulty of finding the place. I had to go next door and ask numerous people where the tour was. In the rain. Definately set the mood for the evening.  Next, I was so disappointed and aggravated at how late the actual tour started. 9:53pm was when we were given the equipment to begin exploring. A WHOLE HOUR later. Not a good sign. Before said time, we just sat and talked pointlessly when that time should have been suited for the exploration itself. It speaks on how amateur and inexperienced the tour is.  Next during the actual exploration more time was spent watching a tv program (GHOST ADVENTURES of the Travel Channel) regarding their investigation of the property. If I wanted to watch the show I could have just tuned into the Travel Channed and watched the show and not have paid $$ to do it. The investigation itself I feel it could have been so much better. My Ovulus kept repeating the same words of one other customer. Perharps a sign of outdated equipment or a pre programmed glitch?? My dissastifaction got so bad I had to actually leave before the tour was over. I left at 1040pm. After all was said and done, after talking pointlessly and watching a tv program I could have done at home, I only got less than 40 minutes of proper investigation. Definately not what they advertise as 90 MINUTES. Further, after talking to the owner his response was, and I quote " we have done this thousands of times so we must be doing something right" and "that is your opinion". Arrongace my friends is the enemy of change so I hardly think this tour will continue for much longer if they do not listen to their guests. While I am entitled to my opinion, I also feel the people should know exaclty what to expect- which is disappointment and an unorganized tour. Pass. You are better off conducting your own investigation my friends.

Savannah's Best Bet for a Ghosty Experience…read more My husband and I recently ventured across the country to check out Savannah, one of the country's most historical and architecturally beautiful cities. Being interested in anything ghostly on television, I searched for and found The Gribble House Paranormal Experience. Even better, I got a great deal on tickets through Groupon which is a free service, you really need to check in to. Our taxi dropped us off 15 minutes before our 10 p.m. reservation time. Tracey greeted us at the door and we were introduced to Gaary the head investigator. They were very knowledgeable of the equipment and considerate to everyone's level of ghost hunting. We were told the history of the building and it's surroundings and then we broke up into two groups to start investigating. All of the tools you see on the Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures were used...it was totally cool to actually hear words coming from the Ghost Box and Ovilus X. It was actually kindof creepy, but in a good way. Be prepared to have a lot of questions to ask, and be prepared to be patient to hear the answers. It was a blast 'talking' to the ethereal beings. I wish we had a Gribble House Paranormal Experience company in our city. Bottom line: Just Boo it... I mean just do it you won't regret it. This ghost investigation was a birthday gift from my husband...a gift I will certainly remember forever.

The equipment felt childish to me and like playing make-believe. When I've done other ghost investigation style experiences they were in buildings/locations where horrific murders happened or in civil war prisons where thousands of people died. It felt like this was basically a random building the Trolley Tour company bought and just converted into a ghost house. The techniques they use for ghost hunting are kinda laughable, and we did laugh. They had a random word generator that was supposed to say random words from the English language but it was def pre-programmed to say words like "sacrifice" and other scary words over and over again. They also had an AM radio that cycled all the frequencies and you could hear super short clips of people talking and that was supposed to be some kind of evidence. They had cat toys that light up when moved. And they had more traditional ghost hunting tools like a thermo imager and EMF detector. Overall if you're super into this stuff you'll probably like it. It's so expensive too. For the cost of a group of 4, you can buy all this equipment on Amazon and hunt ghosts the rest of your life or start your own paranormal investigation experience.

He was focused on the history of the town and sprinkled in the macabre. When I brought family to visit Savannah in mid June 2023, I booked the same tour hoping for a similar experience. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed this time around. We had a different guide that spent a good chunk of time telling her life story. From NYC, "fashion designer", moved to the Caribbean, somehow ended up in Savannah. She could not emphasize enough how much she enjoys partying. She took us to an inn and told us the story of the inn keeper killing a man, boarding him up in the wall, and now a ghost haunts the garden. It took her almost 30 mins to tell this story, putting us almost halfway through our tour. We then stopped us at McDonough's. She said she called the back room "the portal to hell", but didn't give us any explanation as to why. As we waited for the group to get drinks she showed us pictures of "apparitions" her other tours have seen. Our next stop was Central Cemetery, where she wasted another 30 mins telling us to take pictures with our flash on and then convincing us that the lense flares were ectoplasm. My brother said he saw someone in the cemetery and she said they must be a ghost, but no they were live people walking through past close. She took us to an old theater turned bar and that's where my group departed from the tour. Overall, she was longwinded and spent more time telling stories about her experiences, real or not, than the history of Savannah & it's ghosts. We didn't stop at the Cannonball house, the 17hundred90, or Abe's on Lincoln like I had the previous tour.
