Eric was the best tour guide! I think it's important to mention this was less of a "haunting" tour and more of an informational and historic tour. But Eric was fantastic about sharing some scary stories and his own ghostly encounters in Savannah. To be honest I was looking at the other "ghost" tours going on that night and they were jam packed with 20-40 people. We had a cozy group of 8 which allowed us to ask questions and truly experience the tour without the distractions of others. First of all if you take Hazel's tour then cancel and get your money back! The ENTIRE time she talked about her dad and her family. This tour is about 90 minutes of snooze fest!!! I counted 8 people who ended up leaving her tour while she was still doing the tour. We were at the Forrest Gump area and she didn't even say anything about it. She was talking about her Grandfather. We finally stopped at a bar where my group and I left her tour. PLEASE do not waste your money on this tour! You can get better tours than this! I literally didn't learn ANYTHING about ghost or anything about the town. By the 2nd stop (each stop was about 20 min. which is too long!) I didn't even know anything about Savannah or the place we stopped. So disappointed in this tour. read more

I really think this is something you have to do if you come to Savannah!! I would also recommend that you do it at night time (not sure if there are day tours), but it adds to the overall eerie, spooky feel. First and foremost, serious props to our tour guide Eric for absolutely killing it (no pun...well maybe..intended). Not only does he have his Savannah history down he keep it very interesting for all the participants. Answers questions and makes sure that you get stops along the way to get restroom breaks and a beer (yes if you get it in a plastic cup you can take it with you). Highlights include several squares, cemetery, floating orbs (yes), and personal experiences. Tour is about an hour and a half and well worth every minute. My 14-year-old daughter and her friend wanted to go on a ghost tour, so I found one that said family-friendly. Children under 14 were a little cheaper for this tour. The tour was very family-friendly. It had a lot of great Savannah history with fun ghost stories. It was not super scary which was great for the girls. I was very pleased with it. The only thing that you should be aware of is that others on the tour may not be so family-friendly. The people behind us were drinking and using a lot of cues words that were bothering the girls. But this is not the fault of the tour guide she was great and very classy, making sure that my girls were able to see everything. read more

I purchased this tour through Yelp for a reduced price. Overall, I was happy with my purchase and glad I went on a ghost tour while I was in Savannah. Our guide was great and very reputable having written a book himself on Savannah hauntings. On this tour, you walk around the city and the guide points out various historical places where ghost sitings have happened in the past. The tour is real, and not too over done in any way. It's great for people of all ages, but I might suggest it for kids 10 years and older. The guide really kept the tour interesting and all people entertained. When the tour was finishing up, I kept hoping he would share one or two more stories. I guess I'll have to buy his book to learn more! read more

I was in Savannah for a conference for work and I found The Haunting's tour online and then found a Groupon for half off and decided to give it a go. The group meets at 9 in Wright Square by Tomo-Chi- Chi's memorial site in Wright Square and ends there as well. I toured with Steve who is a 3rd-4th generation Savannian and who's Great Grandfather fought for the the Confederates. Be prepared to walk and take pictures along the way. You stop at different places (Juliette Gordon Low House, the Anna Powers home, Colonial Cemetery, Conrad Aiken's home, GW's command center, and Savannah's Burying grounds). We were on the tour for 2-2.5 hours, but it was well worth it. Make sure you're phone is charged and you have your walking shoes on. Good amount of history mixed in with ghost sitings, I definitely got an aura in my cemetery pictures. Go on it if you have time! Side note, leave the dogs at home, even if it's nice out read more

I don't really know, but this tour was recommended by our concierge so we gave it a shot and I'm glad we did. Our guide, Robert, was a veritable encyclopedia of Savannah ghost stories and he's even written a book on the subject. The fact that he's been giving tours for 18 years was a bonus, too! The tour was filled with numerous anecdotes and "behind-the-scenes" insights that comes from a guide with so much experience. This tour was cheap, interesting, and they even made a bar stop. Our guide was great with the stories and how to spot 'spirits' on you camera. We were visiting Savannah for the week and basically were walk ups for the 10am tour of the squares/wards. We were the only two and met a young woman who was the daughter of the family who runs the tour, and she was happy to take us around on basically our own personal tour of the area. She was great, very knowledgeable, and funny. The tour took us in and around the main four squares in downtown, and she gave us plenty of extra ideas for our visit. read more

We came here on our anniversary and this was the surprise of my life. I love ghosts and haunting experiences. This tour was Boooorring, there was NOTHING scary about this tour. We were split into two groups and it seems as though the experienced tour guide ditched us. Our tour guide was a second generation tour guide and she was not very good.The inexperienced tour guide began the tour and left half of the group. She had personal conversations with the two people in the front of the group. This was literally a waste of time. While in the midst of the tour we stopped at a bar which was fine for me but we sat there for about 30 minutes which was way too long, we ended up losing three guest because one of them was underage. Even another tour guide commented on the fact that we were there too long to be on a tour. We could have literally walked around the area ourselves. The stories they she provided would have been a good addition to the tour but she kept forgetting details. Not what I'd hoped for. Tip...the walking on dead bodies story gets old REALLY fast.. read more

This tour was very diasppointing, We had 30 in our group, you could not hear the guide from the back of the pack. When asked to speak up she replied I'am not going to shout. Some of the stories were a little far fetched. Disappointed it stopped at a bar, We do not drink and was the only one standing outside in the heat waiting for the tour to continue.
