I went to Gotham New York Bagels and Eat in Chicago and honestly, I loved it. The bagels were super fresh, packed with a ton of filling, and had the perfect texture. I ordered the salmon bagel with onion and capers and it was incredible, really delicious. We also tried the cinnamon bagel with cinnamon sugar cream cheese and it was amazing, seriously one of the best I've had. They also had some sliced and toasted bagels that were really good too. Every bagel came with a pickle on the side, which was a nice touch. The place itself was amazing. There were plenty of tables to sit, a cozy bar area where you can eat or have a coffee, and the overall vibe was super friendly and comfortable. It's not a huge space, but it feels really inviting and there's enough room to stay for a while, you could even bring your laptop and get some work done. In the summer, they also have outdoor seating, which makes it even nicer. The service was great, the staff was friendly, and the menu had a wide variety of options for everyone. The only thing is that it's a bit pricey. We ordered two filled bagels and one plain bagel with just a small side of cream cheese, and it was almost fifty dollars. If all three had been filled bagels, I would totally understand the price, but since one was plain, it did feel a bit expensive. We also got the strawberry cream cheese, which was good but not my favorite. I definitely preferred the cinnamon sugar one. Overall, I would absolutely go back because the bagels were fantastic, the space was cozy and welcoming, and it's a perfect spot to relax or grab breakfast, just a little on the expensive side. read more

Not bad! This bagel is a proper meal! I was full until dinner! My only food complaint is the spicy ketchup that came on the Rocky was a bit overwhelming. I wish I would've gotten it on the side so I could control how much I got. They also forgot my apple chai latte. The toast app didn't make it easy to file a "missing item." I have mixed feelings. The cream cheese portion- FAB! Love. However, I paid $7 to add lox and there was only one piece. I was a little disappointed about that. I would come back for my bagel with plain cream cheese days. I don't think I would order lox on it again just because I can get a better portion at other places. The Just Peachy latte was good and had just a hint of peach with white mocha, not a mix I would've thought of and it works! This location can be hit or miss. Sometimes the bagel is not toasted or they forget to add a pickle. The staff are always really friendly but sometimes I think that they just can't keep up with the volume on a busy weekend. Do not sleep on this place! We we are not local and have never tried a New York bagel. We see now why people say once you try it, you can't simply eat Midwest grocery store bagels. Went here on a Saturday around 10:30 am. Was definitely busy but we were able to sit at a nice table. The vibe was very much busy bagel shop which was to be expected. Was hoping for some Batman imagery but unfortunately there was none. You can only order through kiosk which was nice considering how many options there were on the types of bagel and the types of sandwiches. I ordered the egg bagel with cream cheese and added the lox in (you save two dollars doing it this way) and my boyfriend got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an egg bagel. The food was ready pretty quickly and every bagel came with a pickle (mine didn't though but I assume its because they forgot due to the rush in the morning). The bagel was soft but still firm and there was a good amount of cream cheese. The lox was well portioned and the amount of food was definitely worth the price. I normally would not rave about cream cheese and bagel... My favorite strawberry cream cheese and bagel is from here!!! It's simple and good. They are very generous with the cream cheese. The savory bagels are good too with their house pickle and Snake Bite Hot Sauce hot sauce. I liked the hot sauce so much I bought a bottle to keep at home. They have a patio situation outside to sit outside and every time I'm there, it's always busy with people going in and out or dining in. The inside is small but there are seating inside also. I believe all their sandwiches are over $10. Brighton Beach: I was blown away after the first bite. The sandwich was soo flavorful and so so filling! I opted for the everything bagel and scallion cream cheese because that's the perfect combo with lox in my opinion. Probably my go to place for when i need a filling hangover-curing breakfast. The bagel sandwiches are great and the bagels themselves are very good. There's a good variety of bagels (egg everything for the win) and a couple cream cheese options too. The quality of the food is high. Service is fairly quick too, even on a hectic Saturday morning, we'll order online and then walk over and it's ready in ~15 minutes. The only negative thing for me is the price. It's not cheap, a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich will run you like $12. Throw on some lox or chicken or something extra and it'll get to $15+ really quickly. That's pricy to say the least. The Lakeview location's seating is limited (about 5 small tables and 3 or so tables at the front bar area) and first come, first served. We went around 12pm and didn't wait more than 2 minutes to get a table, though. You place your order online and receive a text when it's ready to pick up at the counter. The food & coffee was prepared fairly quickly and everything tasted delicious! I also ordered the tuna salad bagel to go & I recommend that choice as well! The only thing I have to say about this place is that it's clearly a bagel shop that you'd go to for more of a "treat yourself" type of day, otherwise you're looking at about $30 for 1 bagel and a coffee.. $$$ read more
