So happy to see a delicious thai place! I ordered veggie spring rolls and red curry with tofu. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious. The curry was flavorful. The service was great. They also gave me extra rice free of charge! I would definitely recommend this spot and come back to try other items.

T16. Pad Ka Prao Beef which is basil beef is THE BEST DAMNIT!!! Spicy level 4

This has become one of my go-to places in Buda. I cannot say enough about Gotji's Kitchen. They're great all around - most of which their offerings and dishes have all been superb. First off - the Texas Brisket Curry is DA BOMB! It started as a special menu in October, and it's become my favorite dish, I get it everytime I'm in the area, and I cannot get enough of it. It's smoky good, very savory, excellent flavor and spices. I have bought this curry for several of my Austin friends - all of which were just blown away by it. They just keep asking for more, I could easily be a self employed Uber Eats driver for this dish alone. It's phenomenal and it's always consistently great. My other favorite go-to dish here is the Pad Ka Prao Beef. It's beef with basil and spices - omg for some reason these guys have made the best Pad Ka Prao I've ever had. I get spicy level 4 (out of 5), it's so darn flavorful and it's not greasy. I have had this dish at a few other Thai places in Austin and around, and Gotji's place has been the best to date. I cannot get enough of this dish! I've also tried the Crab Fried Rice, Pad Cashew Chicken, Street Noodles, Pork and Veggie Egg Rolls, Best Curry (Seafood), Pumpkin Curry (temporarily), Crispy Chicken Dish, and Green Curry w/ Chicken. All of which were really good. I was pleasantly surprised with the Pad Cashew Chicken - very flavorful. Also the Best Curry had an array of seafood in it - very refreshing. The customer service here has always been spot-on great. They are very nice. What makes this place the best of the best is they offer excellent quality and tasting dishes, at a fair price, and they are consistently great - every time. I have had repeat orders and repeat dishes over the past few month, I visit them weekly, and it's always the same product, same excellent quality, same execution, same great flavors. Love this place!!

We called in our order and the staff were super nice. We ordered the crab fried rice, chicken pad Thai, spring rolls and egg rolls. The crab was super fresh and not imitation crab. Personally, the taste was a bit interesting for both dishes but we added some plum sauce and it tasted much better. We always considered ourselves lovers of authentic dishes, but this food experience was a bit different for us. The rolls however were delicious and didn't disappoint. We will be back to try once more. Definitely recommend the rolls and bubble tea though.

T11. Chicken Street Fried Noodle and egg rolls. So good

Update-I have been craving some street noodles forever! So I had to make a stop and get a order and a double order of their delicious pork egg roles. They are always so nice and let you sit in your car while they prepare your food. Excellent service, delicious food, and convenient location. What more can you ask for? Go try it!

Louie's was the great surprise of our Austin-area barbecue safari. When we saw their location and…read moretrailer, we did not have high expectations, but the food was excellent. We ordered brisket, ribs, and sausage. Each was some of the best we enjoyed during our trip. Even the pickles were great. You order at the trailer and sit outside at picnic tables. This place is definitely a hidden gem.

Overview: Louie's BBQ is a small trailer operation tucked into a strip of shops in Buda, just south of Austin, where pitmaster Luis Vasquez has finally found the audience that eluded him in the city. The setup fits the small-town feel: a food truck that is a bit hidden, a casual lot, and a relaxed vibe that contrasts with the big-name Austin lines. Parking can be difficult. On my visit around 11:30, I had no trouble grabbing a spot in front of nearby shops, but you can see how it could get tight as the day goes on. There was just one person working during my visit, but the operation still felt efficient; my food was ready in about ten minutes. Food: The brisket was the best item on the tray. The slices were nicely moist with a good hit of beefiness, a noticeable but not overbearing smoke, and solid seasoning. The pork ribs leaned sweet, with a glaze that pushes in that direction without going candy-like. They were tender and well-cooked, easy to bite through. The sausage was also good: moist and seasoned well. Taken together, the meat lineup is consistent and enjoyable, but not destination-level. The sides show more personality. The pimento-style mac and cheese is very rich and extremely creamy, with a sweetness up front and a small kick underneath. The sauce is so thick that a single serving is plenty. The coleslaw hits a nice middle ground: creamy dressing, good crunch, and enough freshness to cut through the heavier bites. The tres leches corn is the most adventurous item I tried, a sweet creamed corn with cinnamon notes that leans dessert-ish. I am not convinced the concept fully clicks, but it is not bad, just more of a curiosity than a must-order. Dessert comes in the form of a banana-forward banana pudding with soft Nilla wafers. It delivers exactly what you expect and nothing more, which matches the theme of the meal: good, but not quite exceptional. On value, Louie's is top tier. With brisket at $34/lb, ribs at $22/lb, and sausage at $5-$6/link, it is well under many of the better-known spots in the greater Austin area, especially when you factor in that you are not paying with an hour in line. Portions are fair, and given the quality, it feels like an easy place to over-order without blowing up your budget. Final Thoughts: Louie's BBQ is not trying to be the next Franklin or a Texas Monthly pilgrimage stop, and that actually works in its favor. What you get is steady, well-executed barbecue, some fun, sweeter-leaning sides, and a bill that does not sting. I would not tell someone to plan an entire trip around it, but for folks in Buda or anyone already south of Austin who wants quality smoked meat without the big-city hassle, Louie's is one of the better stops in the area.

They were out of chicken so couldn't make a couple of the sandwiches, one which we wanted to try. Then we asked for another sandwich and they said they don't make that sandwich anymore and we must be looking at an old menu bc they "hadn't had that sandwich in a while". Ok, that happens, but we were looking at the menu on their own website. Oookkk. We asked what other sandwiches were available and they said 2-3 of the other sandwiches on the menu so we went with one of those. The total for 4 sandwiches was 59. That felt high to me but I know prices are up everywhere so I figured, if it's a good sandwich it'll be worth it. We showed up to pick up our order and they had a menu posted with a bunch of other options. I was annoyed now, bc the other options looked better than what I ended up ordering but he didn't mention any of those on the phone. Overall the sandwiches were just ok. Not enough filling for the bread and was dry. We ended up adding sauces at home. Overall I was disappointed and would not go back.
