Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) is a reasonably large burger chain in the UK, having been impressed with other GBK locations and knowing this is a safe bet to order from to satisfy my gluten-free diet, I made an order via Uber EATS to the London Hilton on Park Lane in which I was staying as after an exhausting, busy day in the capital I wanted a trusted brand who I knew could deliver, and deliver they did (and not just UberEATS!) The store does look pretty nice and stands out on Baker Street, and is fairly close to Starbucks and Nando's. I ordered a gluten-free cheeseburger with chunky fries, the pricing was reasonable at £12.95 for a burger and chips before UberEATS delivery charges which isn't bad at all, it's so good infact there's barely a difference between the price in the restauraunt and on the Uber EATS platform, and many other places from Mcdonald's to Starbucks do charge significantly higher on UberEATS. Despite having no selection for gluten-free on UberEATS, I phoned the restauraunt who assured that my order would be gluten-free and it was, he even wrote it on the receipt which for me shows good service and caring staff going above and beyond to help customers who might normally struggle to order. The presentation of the burger was good, unlike most restaurants I've ordered from for delivery, it was still intact, hot and wasn't spoiled in delivery. It would have been nice if they had the sticks which they give out in the branch to hold the burger together though as it needed it. My burger was juicy and seasoned well, it was overall a good burger, perhaps even better than a few other GBK locations. A slightly small, cute store on Baker Street yet offering high-quality food which can often be pretty hit and miss from chains in a central London location, really good service and competitive pricing also makes the case stronger for GBK to warrant a four-star rating. read more

The burgers were really flavorful! Layers of flavor in every bite. I had The Don and my husband had the Major Tom. You get seated at a table but order at the counter yourself. The guy at the counter was so personable and friendly. Beer selection is great. I had one that I can't spell or pronounce...luckily I took a picture! I can't put my finger on exactly why, but GBK just isn't that satisfying. I ordered a mess of a burger (the cheese & bacon) with chunky fries and two sauces - garlic mayo and smoked chili mayo, and yet I found myself underwhelmed. For starters, let's not kid ourselves - "crispy" bacon this was not. Second, the burger itself was quite small and lost in the sea of ingredients. Some tasty, some as noticeable as an oil stain on black pants. Basically, after I'd finished I really just wished I'd gone to Byron instead. 3 stars. read more

A decent burger place, for me too many options and variations on the menu. After it is a burger place? All food was cooked well but just annoyed they do not have some normal fries, the super skinny fries are just not cool. And unfortunately the same has to be said about the atmosphere which left me a bit confused. The large wall menu fitted well to a burger/diner place, but a panoramic image of a lake in Midwest America opposite a photograph of the tropics with reggae music being played whilst I'm eating a burger just doesn't make sense. And the fact you have to print off the voucher and they can't scan it or use that for the deal is unbelievable in 2014. read more

This one is a tweener, 3.5 stars that I have rounded up to 4 because they have L&P (a soft drink from NZ). The burger was cooked medium, however I would say that it was more medium rare than medium. I was super tasty. It reminded me of being at a friend's and eating a burger off the grill. The skinny fries are a definite yes. Also got the blue cheese slaw. That is a serious miss. Way too much mayonnaise. I wanted to like this, but could not make it work even going back to it a few times. What did I learn today? With so many burger joints in London I think that they have done a good job of differentiating. The music is awesome! read more

What a rip off! They charged me £11.10 for a salad that consisted of 12 pieces of lettuce, 1/3 of a chicken breast, one cherry tomato, one sun dried tomato, and half of an avocado which hadn't even been diced up. read more

I'd been away from the UK for 15 months. A stop at a GBK was definitely on my "things to do soon" list. Hadn't been to the Baker Street location before, but I wasn't let down in any way! Tasty (as expected burgers) and now they've got sweet potato french fries. Delish! Really fast and courteous service and the manager even popped over to check on us. Good spot! read more

Fantastic customer service at this GBK. The staff are really attentive and refreshingly enthusiastic. For just over £10 (with my Taste London card), we got a couple of burgers and two portions of chips. The chips were good, but I found their falafel burger to be rather dry and pretty average. My partner had the puy lentil burger, but wished he hadn't. The salad that came with the meal was lovely though - tasty and fresh. read more

As a ferociously hungry pregnant woman with ever changing food cravings this was the perfect spot for me to grab a burger and onion rings. My burger was cooked perfectly well done (which can be really difficult to accomplish!) and the food came out quickly. The wait staff was lovely and attentive. I give it a 4 rather then 5 only because it was slightly overpriced in my opinion, but I did just recently move here from the states and getting accustomed to prices. YUMMY BURGER!!! read more

I freaking love Gourmet Burger Kitchen. I have to admit, I've been to 2 and neither of them had amazing customer service, in my opinion. HOWEVER, the burgers make up for it. I had a vegetarian goat's cheese and aubergine burger. Let me preface this by saying that I don't like aubergine very much. It has to be cooked really well for me to like it, and most places don't do it the way I like it. So, I was being very daring. Especially considering I also am wary of goat's cheese. But oh dear how amazing it was. I can't even describe it. Don't be afraid of going here if you're a vegetarian, basically; they're doing it right. The prices are a bit much since you're paying whatever price for the burger and have to add on chips for at least £2 more. But I was lucky to be stopped by a rep from GBK on Fresher's Week and they gave me a card for 40% off good for the whole year! So we'll only pay £7-10 each for a burger, chips and a drink. Okay, I'll stop bragging ;) But yeah add 40% to that and it's more something you'd indulge in once in a while unless you've got a bit of money. Totally worth it though. read more

Always love a good GBK, and even better with a Taste card! This one is lovely in a great setting and good decor. Love the Kiwi burger with it's strange combination of flavours but the chips with sour cream & sweet chilli sauce is always a winner. And the milkshakes are a must-have! read more

Chips are edible but not really filling, feels like I'm chewing on air. Burger buns are burnt, so is the beef, I'm starting to believe that burnt burgers are their speciality. Not even the ketchup can erase the overpowering taste of burnt meat. Also I'm pretty sure even McDonald burgers have more than one lettuce and tomato in them. The only good thing here is the coke and the free peanuts. Would not recommend. read more

I went to GBK Baker Street for the first time yesterday. It's quite a small compact place and felt busy due to take away customers coming and going, but it was early in the evening and wasn't packed. The menu gives a good choice of starters, beef / chicken burgers, vegetarian options and drinks without being too big. I rally enjoyed the grilled haloumi bites and the milk shake (chocolate). The salad was big enough for two and liberally scattered with pine nuts and roast tomatoes. I had The Don (burger) and would definitely have it again. Cooked to my requirements and perfectly done. The chunky chips were nothing exciting, but the portion was ample. I like the way you getfree monkey nuts and can help yourself to them as well as jugs of water. A nice touch. The menu gave a good variety of options and I had to struggle whether to have the falaffel or not. As I aid, it wasn't packed but had a nice busy feeling. The staff were really friendly, helpful and efficient. We had 3 serving just two of us and everything was delivered quickly and together. The prices reflect the fact that the ingredients make this a 'gourmet' burger, and all said and done were fair. We spent £45 and had starters, burgers, salad, drinks, nuts and a relaxing chat with good service. I'm looking forward to going back or to another branch. Really enjoyed it. read more
