I had pork chops and eggs, great flavor and my eggs were cooked perfect. My daughter got the veggie omelet and my husband got hamburger steak and eggs. Everything great! read more

I should have taken pics. First time here and definitely not my last. This place is one of those mom and pop places owned by Joe & Cathy! They LOVE their community and the people they serve. The food is wholesome and real. Real potatoes, real fresh fruit, real butter, real down home southern cooking. The cafe is small and quaint, but feels like "grandmas" home. And the prices are crazy good for all the food you get. You may have to look twice, so you don't miss it, but if you are anywhere in the area, you have got to eat here. read more

Hash browns are frozen tasteless, also barely touched. Cinnamon pancake goopy. Biscuits and gravy, both are packaged, cheap variety. Waffle just average. What an awful meal, bad food and service. Found another little gem on Yelp. The place was packed and the waitress was busy the entire meal. She was busy, but made sure to check in with all the customers. We ordered the cinnamon waffle with whip cream and 2 sausage patties. The waffle had the proper amount of cinnamon. A nice chew and crispy edges. Very disappointing to say the least. I ordered Doordash from here because I had a long week and did not want to cook breakfast but wanted a home cooked feel to my breakfast as well. When I picked up my food off the porch i immediately knew something was wrong because the bag was super super light and I ordered full breakfasts. I opened the containers and I have a pocket of grits (not a bowl) a kiddy pocket, maybe two eggs (had to be small eggs) and two sausages. My sons was just as small if not smaller in portion for $25 bucks. I had to make extra breakfast (which is what I was trying to avoid) so we would be full!! The waffles was soggy I had to put in the air fryer and they just simply do not care if your not a regular as other posts say. I will never ever buy from this establishment again. Not much to look at, much like me. If you like Waffle House breakfast you'll love this place better !! The only place I've ever found that knows how to properly cook any type of eggs to order. Service was quick and fast. Ambiance is a cross between Elvis and conservative values which I like . We found the place because we camp sometimes at Eisenhower State Park on the weekends and head back down to Dallas usually sometime around Sunday brunch time. Had the Pecan waffle and bacon, meal was very satisfying and did the trick. Bacon was cooked perfectly in my opinion, and the waffle was crisp while also light and airy to provide a great consistency. I even ran into a couple local folks I've know for years, and had a nice chat. Small place, but great atmosphere and they still do home cooking and do it well.
