Ate breakfast here this morning. Really cute hole in the wall. They have a drive thru. From the time we walked in to the time we left our waitress was great. Very hospitable. I should have taken pics. First time here and definitely not my last. This place is one of those mom and pop places owned by Joe & Cathy! They LOVE their community and the people they serve. The food is wholesome and real. Real potatoes, real fresh fruit, real butter, real down home southern cooking. The cafe is small and quaint, but feels like "grandmas" home. And the prices are crazy good for all the food you get. You may have to look twice, so you don't miss it, but if you are anywhere in the area, you have got to eat here. read more

Never asked if the food was good, she knew the answer as she picked up our full plates without a comment The food was awful. Poached eggs easy for 2 plates and all 4 eggs were hard boiled, when the waitress picked up our plates with the eggs untouched she said nothing and just walk away with the plates. Hash browns are frozen tasteless, also barely touched. Cinnamon pancake goopy. Biscuits and gravy, both are packaged, cheap variety. Waffle just average. What an awful meal, bad food and service. Can't get enough of this place. My family is always looking for good places to visit and will drive for up to an hour looking for gems. This is one on our list. If you are looking for a place with cloth napkins, don't stop. If you want great food and plenty of it you are in the right spot. Joe will likely be in his spot and is always willing to share his table. The crew is friendly and the waffles are dangerously tasty. Very disappointing to say the least. I ordered Doordash from here because I had a long week and did not want to cook breakfast but wanted a home cooked feel to my breakfast as well. When I picked up my food off the porch i immediately knew something was wrong because the bag was super super light and I ordered full breakfasts. I opened the containers and I have a pocket of grits (not a bowl) a kiddy pocket, maybe two eggs (had to be small eggs) and two sausages. My sons was just as small if not smaller in portion for $25 bucks. I had to make extra breakfast (which is what I was trying to avoid) so we would be full!! The waffles was soggy I had to put in the air fryer and they just simply do not care if your not a regular as other posts say. I will never ever buy from this establishment again. Not much to look at, much like me. If you like Waffle House breakfast you'll love this place better !! The only place I've ever found that knows how to properly cook any type of eggs to order. Service was quick and fast. Ambiance is a cross between Elvis and conservative values which I like . We found the place because we camp sometimes at Eisenhower State Park on the weekends and head back down to Dallas usually sometime around Sunday brunch time. A very busy quaint place! Walking in we had to ask if we were to seat our selves or wait to be seated. Waitress served us right away with drinks and taking out order. Our food tasted good with fair presentation. They offered melted butter as well as reg butter for the pancakes/ waffles.
