Very Yummy banana bread. I got the regular one and the coconut pineapple. The only reason I gave 1 star less is because the customer service was alittle rushed. The lady who was there asked if I wanted to sample, which I accepted. She handed me a taste of all breads pretty quickly which felt rushed. I still had bits in my hand from each sample and I was trying to decide which breads I wanted. I wish she was a little more patient with my decisions. Other than that great bread. I think I'd buy once a year as it totaled $21. So it was in the pricey end of my budget.

My hubby and I are back visiting Oahu for some great eats. We were here once before in Waipahu Factory outlets and noticed food trucks are parked at the parking lot. Gouveia's Ono Banana Bread is one of the many locals providing great service and excellent food. I actually got really lucky as I noticed they were packing up at 4pm and told Chris (hubby) to run out the car and buy me some banana bread. I was flagged to come by the tent as well. We met with the owners, Theresa and Edmond, of this business. They were so kind to bring out the 4 types of banana bread available: Banana Bread, Banana Bread Chocolate Chip, Banana Bread Chocolate Custard, Banana Pineapple Bread. We purchased 2 Banana Bread Choc Chips and 1 Banana Bread. We stayed a little bit talking to them about where we were from and visiting from. Theresa told us that she visits California and always visits SF because she has her family there as well. As they were in the middle of packing up and bringing down their tent, Edmond and Theresa had offered us another bread - Banana Pineapple to bring back home with us to SF. They were so kind and very friendly. We love coming to Hawaii because we get to meet such great awesome people here like Edmond and Theresa. So if you are ever here in Honolulu-Oahu... come out and visit Gouveia's Ono Banana Bread stand by the Waikele/Waipahu Outlets beside the Petco and Old Navy on Friday-Sundays from 10-4pm. Please continue to support local businesses, great food, and awesome Owners.

My sister and I love the many flavors. The bread is moist and delicious! I'd love to see one with pecans.

Luckily, I was able to get the most similar drinks to them. First off, presentation was perfection n' their aesthetic is so cute. The Salted Maple Coffee had a nice hint of salty n' sweet n' went very well with the coffee. I really liked the fresh strawberry puree in the Strawberry Matcha. Was hoping for more of a matcha-y taste throughout the drink. I believe they mentioned in an IG story that they will be sourcing a new matcha soon, so I am eager to see if that will enhance their matcha drinks to be the best it can be. Will have to try it out once it becomes available!

Thank you to sponsoring organization who brought Cowrie to town and to my attention. Looking forward to more goodness..!

Mmmm... Delicious!!…read more The wife and I caught a quick glance of Moore's Soul Food Kitchen truck while they were parked at Geiger in Ewa Beach. It was the first time we saw this truck, so we both couldn't help but be curious about the goods.. especially my wife lol. First off, the owner was super cool! Being that my wife is from Louisiana, every time we hit up a soul food spot, she asks where they're from. Today, we learned that the Moore's family is from Florida and have been in Hawaii since the 80's. Since we already had an early lunch, we weren't tryna get too crazy on the ordering as I typically do. My wife decided to try the chicken wing plate which came with 10pc chicken wings and fries. After debating on the flavor choice, we agreed on chipotle mango. When the owner hand delivered the plate to us, she asked for our honest review... and here it is!! Haha! FIVE STARS! :) Happy to report the wings and fries were amazing!!! Loved the homemade sauce that the wings were tossed in. I was expecting a little kick after catching a scent of hot sauce, but they weren't spicy at all. I appreciate the naked wings too btw. They were so juicy and flavorful, and I love when my food is piping hot! Excited to try other offerings and even other flavors of wings. Hopefully more menu items are available the next time we stop by. Today there were a few things marked SOLD OUT. As far as hours of operation and locations, the best thing to do is follow them on instagram (which I don't have), but calling their number to check the schedule is another option. Hope you love it!!

It's like they just deep fried it without any seasoning or flour. Then they just threw buffalo sauce for flavor. The fries were frozen fries that you could get from your local grocery store. Nothing special. Hand cut fries would have been a lot better. The mac and cheese is a big zero. No taste and it wasn't the best kind of cheese. As a "soul food" restaurant, I was very disappointed. I've been to a lot of soul food places and a lot of them stand out in a good way. They marinate there chicken, and fry it with flour, they hand cut the fries and fry it with peanut oil, and lastly they scratch make the mac n cheese. Saldy this restaurant failed to put more effort into their food. Which is why im giving them a big fat ZERO. Only put one star cuz I have to. I won't be coming back.

It was almost 11am and it looked like all the trucks were closed, but fortunately, Dick's was open. It looked like they were only one of two or three that were. I decided on the lechon with pancit plate this time, since the Fried rice I got the last time was fairly bland. It was a good choice, as the noodles were flavorful, with lots of veggies. Unfortunately, the lechon was super salty this time. It was moist and the skin was veto crispy, but I could only eat a little at a time, due to the saltiness. I'm hoping this was a "one off", and they didn't change their preparation or recipe. I'll have to make sure by stopping by again to grab another order soon.

Everyone was working hard to get the food out fast. Lechon had the perfect crispy skin while the meat was tender. A good amount was given n' was nicely prepared. Ate it with the mang tomas sauce that was provided. The addition of spam pieces was to incorporate the main attraction. The fried rice unfortunately didn't have much flavor. I ended up eating it with vinegar to jazz it up. Bbq pork stick was really good on its own. The vinegar that was provided added even more flavor. It was actually my favorite out of everything; had a good char. Pork lumpia was two long pieces that was equivalent to like 6 regular size pieces. My kids enjoyed it. The turon had a good crunchy exterior, the banana seemed a bit on the dry side. Glad to see many people trying Dick's Lechon n' supporting local!
