    Baked stuffed haddock

Amazing and simple take out process to placing the order and picking it up. I literally loved all the food. I've never had cheese curds before and these were amazing. The stuffing in the haddock 10/10. Sautéed beets with feta - I had them once and tried making it at home, even though such a simple recipe you guys kill it. Mashed potatoes? Meow. Thank you for the amazing food!

Bear in mind that it's only open in the summer months (April to October). Order at the shack in the front and eat in the heated and covered seating area. Clean bathrooms around the side. Prices are fair and staff is friendly. Parking is about 12 cars worth. Absolutely recommend the chowder and blueberry pie here, although they're known for their lobster bake special (lobster, corn and mussels) and lobster roll (which are both excellent). Chowder is full of clams/corn and filled to the brim. Make sure to get here early so they don't run out of anything!

There's plenty of outdoor seating with shade & heaters. They bring your food straight to your table for you, and they were kind enough to turn on the heaters for us without us even asking. I hadn't even realized how chilly it was until then. We ordered the crabmeat roll, lobster roll, potato salad, clam chowder, and the blueberry pie. I honestly was impressed by their serving size and pricing. Definitely very fair pricing and the rolls are packed with meat. I was so hungry I didn't expect to be full, but their portion sizes definitely filled us all up. I don't have much experience with lobster rolls since I'm not from the Northeast, BUT I would say that these rolls were among the best I've had during my travels both on this trip and prior trips in the Northeast. It's also so convenient that they're right outside the National park so you don't even have to drive that far to find them. Great food and great pricing for being right outside a National park. If I ever come back to Acadia, I would 100% stop by here for some food again.

What didn't go well!?!…read more Fresh from the airport, on a rainy day driving from Bangor to Bar Harbor for a weekend trip - we happened to pass this spot and decided to turn around and come back for our first Maine lobster roll of the trip. Didn't realize it had just opened that day - there were only two other people inside and it was very quiet. Still, staff were super friendly and welcoming. There is a fresh fish market area and the restaurant area. The fish market looked closed to us. The two people eating inside happened to be locals - who said they come at least once a week and purchase whole lobsters (we saw them come out on the tray) at market price (which was about $12/lb that day) and have them cook/boil them for $2. My husband asked to do the same and he ended up with an almost two pound lobster for $22 - unheard of for us as lobster is extremely expensive and not fresh. This one was caught like hours before he ate it. A bit challenging for him to eat - ha - as we aren't experts. But, he loved it. I chose to go with the roll and fries with an Arnold palmer with house-made lemonade. Sooo good! Best lobster I've ever had. We loved this place. Hands down the best lobster roll of my life. Delish. If you are anywhere nearby - stop here asap.
