i am new to vsp and called to make an appointment for an exam for contact lens. the front desk…read morestaff were all really nice, over the phone and in person. they called prior to my appointment to give a friendly reminder. dr au and his staff were all very professional. my exam look about 30m dr au was pretty personable. recommended that i purchase pataday eye drops for my red eyes which are caused by allergies. the only thing is that i was not made aware of was the contact fitting fee, which is $60. when i called to make the appt, the gal provided my co pay amount and the allowance for contacts under my vision insurance. this is why i always opt out of vision insurance bc it costs less for me to pay out of pocket for contacts than to pay for vision insurance twice a month + copay + contact fitting fee + difference of what my insurance covers for contacts, which is about $100 more. so basically i am paying double this year. other than not disclosing the contact fitting fee..the visit was good. parking: plenty of parking.

I didn't want to make the drive to my eye doctor in OC so I contacted this office and they were able to squeeze me in the same day. Thank you so much!! The staff was friendly, patient and professional. I have PPO insurance so I was able to go with whomever so that helped. In keeping with the friendly and approachable theme - Doctor Florister was also very friendly, patient and professional. And quite funny. She was a bit alarmed that I had rinsed off the top layer of my eye but reassured me that the eye will heal itself in a day or two if I stopped rinsing. The moral of the story I learned is that if something gets caught in your eyes- just rinse continuously for the first 15 minutes and then stop - whatever is in there would come out by then if not then no amount of continued rinsing would help. Don't be an idiot like me and rinse every two hours ! ‍‍ My eyes are back to normal now with the use of eye ointment and gel drops. No prescription medication needed and not antibiotics because she didn't think it was infected. Overall I was very happy with my experience with Eye Care Riviera and highly recommend it! Cheers!

This little office is tucked into a strip mall which means convenient free parking, easy in and out access and options like dining, exercise and quick stop shops. Got errands? You can probably complete some of them in the little mall and can likely complete all of them in the surrounding area. My insurance changed dramatically, so finding good, reputable and legit care sometimes takes a lot of research. I want good vibes, no chaos and don't want my medical offices to feel like churn clinics. I found Eye Zone meets my requirements and I'm glad I scheduled an appointment. I do have to wait several weeks for my glasses, but that is what it is with some insurance these days. The group here is rocking the process. What's not to love?
