My experience at The Joseph was so, so. It sits in a prime location close to all of the Short North Columbus Hot Spots and has a door connecting it to The Guild House, a fine dining Cameron Mitchell restaurant. They have valet, who were eager to assist us upon pulling up to the building. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The room was pretty basic, nothing really memorable about it other than the view of 670 (if you're into watching cars pass by on the freeway). We did hear the people next to us fairly often. Our neighbors weren't purposefully loud, it's just the walls were so thin, you couldn't help but hear the people next to you. With a nightly fee of close to 400 dollars, you would think they could afford better insulation. In my opinion the price isn't worth the only amenity of being close to the the short north. Book a cheaper hotel elsewhere and uber.

The hotel sits in an awesome and convenient location. The view from the room we had was absolutely amazing. But there were a few things that would make me not return. Parking is not on site. We had to park in the garage across the street and walk to the hotel. It was raining the day we left and we're soaked by the time we got to our car. They do offer vallet parking. But the line was so long and if we had waited to pull the car up we were going to cause a huge traffic jam. So we decided to park ourselves. Once we arrived inside we were greeted at the front desk. But our room was not ready. Check in is 3pm. We arrived at 345. We had to wait another 30 minutes for them to finish the room. Which was going to make us late for our event. Can't say I've ever not had a room ready at a hotel before so that was super disappointing.

The Le Meridien is an excellent location in the short north with a lobby with an amazing vibe. The front desk staff were very polite and attentive, but that is the highlight. When we pulled up, the valet simply watched us and made no attempt to engage with us. We were the only car awaiting valet and had to flag the attendant to get him to service us. The bellman was equally as inattentive and had to request him to get our luggage. We were celebrating a birthday and called in advance to make special requests for the room. Upon arrival the request were not met. I had a deluxe queen room and was stunned at how small it was. The design of the room is dark & bizarre. While lying in bed, a closet stand immediately in front of me. The wooden backboard and overhang on the ceiling had a claustrophobic feel. For the price point the room was a huge disappointment. I wouldn'stay again or recommend the hotel.

Love this place! Wonderfully located in the Short North Art District of Columbus you will be near all the hot restaurant and bars while getting to look at great street art. I held a corporate event there and the staff was great to work with and made everything easy as Sunday morning. I also got to spend the night and love the rooms. Amenities such as the gym are great and they have bikes you can borrow to cruise the Short North. Will def be back.

This is a beautiful hotel! I would avoid I-670 (inner belt) side as the light traffic noise bothered me. I mentioned something and arrangements were made for another room without hassle. The shower is unbelievable. The bed amazing. Absolute Luxury with a boutique art flair. The service and staff are white glove, top-notch caliber!

This hotel has generally very good service. I liked the elevators that require a keycard to access, and that when your hands are full the front desk will rush to help you with the elevator. People seemed genuinely nice and the lobby lounge was inviting (albeit the food was hit and miss). Lastly, the artsy second floor had wonderful paintings and the space was quite inviting and picturesque. My disappointments mainly surrounded the initial arrival. They can do a better job with valet parking. They do not allow you to add it to your room charges which is simply archaic for such a new and chic hotel. Who wants to give their credit card access for yet one more place?! Finding your own parking however is equally challenging because you have to walk a couple of blocks in the busy Short North area to pay the same pricing as valet charges. Next, the front desk lady seemed new and struggled to find our reservation. Once she finally found it after I spelled my name 3 times and assured her I had a reservation, she failed to do the typical acknowledgment of my Marriott Rewards status (something I have grown to expect and appreciate after 20+ years of loyalty to the brand) and didn't tell me that hotel information in the room is now vis QR code scan on a little card on the nightstand. This nugget of information would have saved me some headache from looking around the room then going downstairs to order breakfast instead of room service, only to then be told when I inquired that my room did indeed have the menu in it. Apparently they do this to avoid too much touching due to COVID, a nice gesture but on the same token they should routinely check the hand sanitizer stations around the hotel because several were empty when I tried to use them. Lastly, they must have missed the memo that the paper shortage is over because my room had only 4 tissues in the box. I know this because all of them were used to make the nice tissue flower on top of it. Surely the housekeeper recognized this when using every single one to make the pretty flower. But why not put a new box in place of the empty one?! And why not leave a roll of toilet paper when the one on the roll is half empty?! Oh well, so much potential here. So much potential to be 5 stars. It's the small things...

A beautiful boutique hotel conveniently located in Short North. The staff was very attentive and friendly. You can explore the city on foot if you like. So many artistic galleries, shops, and restaurants are nearby. I definitely loved the decorations of funky golden bulldog statues and bookshelves full of artistic books and more in the lobby. There is a bathroom if you walk pass the bar/cafe on the first floor. Contrary to how compact the hotel looks, the room was pretty spacious and you can view High Street from the windows. The bed was big and comfortable. It was cool that they had the capsule espresso and tea in our room. The signature body lotion, shampoo and conditioner had nice scents. Always great to have the shower head on the ceiling and the shower head for the quality shower time! The shower curtain does not work at all so even if we placed the bath mat on the floor away from the shower area, it got completely soaked. It seems to happen a lot with boutique hotel but we did not like how the fancy bathroom door would not shut completely. On our second day, the bed was not made but I wonder if it was because we had the Do not disturb sign in the morning and didn't remove it till we left our room late morning. When we called the front desk, they quickly sent somebody for towels, and some amenities so we were covered. The gentleman working at the cafe in the lobby kindly gave us complimentary tea and coffee when we were waiting for our ride there. It was a pretty cold day so we appreciated it very much. Our room was already prepared a few hours before the check-in time so we could get ready for our evening plan. They let us leave our luggage before check-in and after the check-out. As the road was under construction (most part of Short North was at the time), our ride could not stop right in front of the hotel. We walked one block.

This modern hotel is located in the heart of Columbus' great Short North. The valet is convenient and your only easy option for parking. The lobby is filled with modern artwork and includes their Soul bar to the left. The staff is welcoming and helpful. They also have the Guild House (great restaurant) attached as well. They are dog friendly which was so helpful for us! We had a weeding this weekend at this location and it's was a premier experience. The food catered for the reception was great. This location is great weather you are stopping through the city or need it as a venue!

I was told that my Honors Member rate would be booked for the full stay. At check in, the reservation I made was not even for the correct number of nights. I booked for Wednesday thru Sunday but they only had my block of rooms for Wednesday and Thursday. We were told to come down and check out and check back in the following day. When we came down in the morning to take care of this, that front desk person said we should not have had to check in and check out and move rooms even though this is what we were told upon arrival. We then find out that our rate has gone from $187 to approximately $500 a night for the remaining stay. Of course we are shocked. We went to speak to the manager and he was not willing to meet us in the middle to find a solution. He gave us a hard no and said you won't find another hotel in this area for the remaining days. We found another hotel, three rooms left and did not stay and found other accommodations. I think there were enough issues with our reservations and being told a different story depending upon who we spoke with that the hotel. It is unfortunate that they seemed to not care to loose guests and two rooms. I am truly floored by the switch and bait and also that management/staff really seemed to not be bothered. We might only be 6 guests total but they just lost customers who that will never book with this hotel chain again.

The place is gorgeous, well put together. The hotel staff were very attentive. A small hiccup on checking in. I was already charged through a booking website but when I arrived they said my booking was cancelled. Odd but quickly fixed. I took advantage of the welcome cocktail -- well, I asked for mine to be a mocktail. If you're looking for an alcohol substitute, you'd like it. If you're looking for juice with a flair, you will not. The bartender really loves what he does and that was nice. I also took advantage of the free COSI tickets. Lovely museum. Room was clean. Bed was nice. Shower was nice. Would've been better if it had a handheld shower head component. Downsides The walls are THIN. Unfortunately, I was privy to some extracurricular activities. Fortunately, it was short and not repeated. The steamer was dirty and not so great, and the wifi was soo slow. The bathroom needed more hooks. I think they got sidetracked because when I called down to the desk, it was there within 15 minutes.

I felt $39 for valet parking was very high, especially since the first night my car was not even parked in their lot. I actually felt that they should have refunded part of the valet fee since my car was parked a block and a half away in an unattended lot. I actually felt that for $39 per night that the cars should have been in a garage. The hotel was nice, though we were looking for something to eat late at night after 10:00 p.m. and didn't realize that the sports bar stop serving food after 10:00 p.m. and the restaurant upstairs was packed and very loud. We ended up ordering out doordash which was easier and quicker especially since it was pouring down rain outside. The desk wasn't always staffed while we were there, that included when we called on the phone at 7:00 p.m. to speak with someone and the phone just rang and rang and rang, it also included daytime when we were looking to speak with someone at the front desk and there was no one there. A desk in a downtown hotel should be staffed 24 hours a day. When we booked our room I didn't realize my mother would need a handicapped room. When we finally did get a hold of someone a little bit after 7:00 on that first evening we were able to move to a room that was supposedly handicapped but wasn't quite as I expected it would be. Yes there were rails everywhere in the bathroom but the toilet was low and what really blew my mind was there was a bathtub and anyone who's handicapped like let's say in a wheelchair is not going to be able to get into the bathtub or out very easily. There was a seat underneath the sink that could be set up in the tub but how would somebody if they were handicapped get into and out of it. The first room we had had a nice shower that you could practically walk in without having to climb over the edge of a bathtub. I would have felt that would have been much better of an option for someone handicapped. Drawer space in both rooms was non-existent. In the handicap room there was one drawer underneath the fridge. In the other room there were two drawers. We were there for the weekend, we operated out of the suitcase. They were all so only four hangers. It seemed to me a bit ridiculous that there wasn't enough storage space for someone who might want to unpack if they were there for a week or longer than a weekend. In fact, I've never been in a Marriott hotel that didn't have more storage than this one. It was a bit odd to me. The staff was friendly, helpful, the little store downstairs was nice to pick up some drinks or some snacks, I'm unsure where we would have heated up the frozen dinner or pizza that were in the freezer in that little store since we didn't have a microwave in our hotel room. It was nice that the hotel was close to comfest that was happening while we were visiting the area and that North market was just a block up. It was nice that you could walk to things and weren't always reliant on your car. Again I really wanted to like this hotel thoroughly, but there were just things that didn't make sense and were problematic to me. But since we were there for an event, we didn't have a choice of the hotel for that event.

It looks like you can pay to park but the church reserves the lot for Sundays so you WILL GET TOWED if your car is in there overnight. We didn't realize it said 3am, not 3pm, so both our car and my father in-law's car got towed. Luckily the tow lot is just .9miles down the street so just a walk away. I guess we'll just valet and stay in the hotel parking lot next time, would be worth it. Cute rooms! Very nice, clean, tidy, well laid out with lots of little amenities throughout for how compact the room is. Big bathroom, which is nice!!! LOTS of outsets and USB outlets for charging. Definitely no view in the room we had though. We could just see the cement ceiling part of whatever hotel structure is below us. They could possibly put some decor or something low maintenance out there just for some sort of view. The room coffee was decent! I appreciated the two creamers included, some hotels don't include any creamer, which it at that point the coffee is pointless to me. Luckiy my fiance drinks his black so I was able to use the creamers. I appreciated this little detail. I also do like the full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the rooms, as sometimes those tiny little things don't even have enough in one for my hair alone let alone anyone else that is staying with me. We had these rooms on points so value for the price I'm honestly not sure. But I definitey wasn't dissappointed by any means!
