This place is great! I gave it 4 stars because I believe more effort could go into their customer service, I often see registers open with employed cleaning or hanging around while there are over 20 people in ice. If it's the weekend during the summer or evening during baseball season I strongly encourage you go somewhere else unless you have over half an hour to just wait in line... Ice cream speaking? Back in the day when Oprah was still doing her thang, she turned on me to this place called Graeter's that supposedly had delicious ice cream. So naturedly, when I spotted one in the area I was staying to visit a friend, I made us stop. It didn't matter that we were on our way back from personal training or that we hadn't eaten lunch yet; Oprah said it was good, and god damn it, the fat demon kid inside of me was going to have some Graeter's! The shop is very pleasantly decorated and quaint. Staff was helpful here and more than willing to let me try a few flavors. Sampled the salted caramel which rung pretty high on my tasty list. Then I tried the black raspberry chocolate chip thang and was not pleased - it tasted like fake raspberry. So being dangerous, I opted for mint chocolate chip without trying it. It was tasty but really nothing special. I felt I could have gotten the same thing out of a carton. Portion size was good. Oprah...you have fallen in my eyes. Graeter's is my favorite ice cream in Ohio--there I said it. Their ice cream is pure creamy/tasty goodness and their chocolate chip flavors are out-of-this-world, thanks to the delicious dark chocolate flavor of their chocolate chunks. This location could be one of their premier stores with plenty of sweets aside from the ice cream for sale, along with plenty of to-go tubs of their ice cream for sale if you prefer to eat your ice cream at home. Lots of seating inside and some seating outside as well, along with plenty of parking. As I just moved to Cincinnati and I live very close to this store, I'll be hitting this one up whenever my sweet tooth gets me. read more

I am a huge sucker for ice cream so when I saw this place near my hotel, I knew exactly what I was going to have for breakfast - ice cream!! The service was great. They let me try a few flavors and the portion size fora single scoop is UNREAL. The black raspberry chocolate chip is really good! It was so rich and the chocolate chips were a nice surprise. They aren't really crunchy chips either, they kind of melt quickly in the mouth. The coconut chocolate chip is also a nice flavor. Can't go wrong with this flavor. Also had the black cherry chocolate chip but it honestly reminded me of a cherry slurpee so I preferred the black raspberry ice cream more. Definitely check this place out! :) read more

Graeters ice cream is so tasty!!! The experience starts when you walk in the door. From the delicious assortment of chocolate that greet you at the door to the friendly smiles and cheerful employees that offer samples and generously serve you while showing personal interest. I visited Mason for a week and went 3 times! Then I went to Columbus and did the tour and of course had more ice cream! I even found a location in Hicksville NY near where I live! I went to the Deerfield Location tonight to stop in and get pints of ice cream for my family. I was standing in line with four pints and Josh behind the register, stopped what he was doing and offered to take those out of my hand. He then told me that he would help me in a minute. I then was waited on so nicely, he was so nice and delivered EXCELLENT customer service. He took my gift card, asked if I had a frequent Graeters card I believe it was called and then served me so nicely once again. Wow! I'm from Texas and I used to think Blue Bell was the best ice cream ever! I was sadly mistaken Graeters. I'm sorry for not giving you a chance sooner, but we tried your ice cream for the first time a few months ago and have been addicts ever since. Now we always have a pint in the freezer at home. This is a family friendly and fun place to go. It's not just going out for ice cream, it's an event. You can sit inside where it smells like heaven or go outside and people watch. Does gam gam like sweet treats? While you're there, pick up a cake, cookies, peanut brittle, etc and bring it home to her. All you see are happy people here. It's impossible to eat an ice cream cone while grumpy. They also have a rewards card. I feel like I should be rewarding them, but they have chosen to give me rewards for enjoying their amazing ice cream...what a world we live in.
