Since it was cold AF and pretty busy, I opted to sit at the bar. I ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni and went dealer's choice on the accompanying wine thanks to the recommendation by my server Greg. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Pizza was solid and the wine was chef's kiss. I enjoyed myself so much that I left with a bottle to take home. I Iove everything about this place. I have been a member for 11 months and love to see how Grafted has continued to evolve. Their wine? Amazing. The selection is vast and exceptional. The service? Incredible. We have gotten to know many of the employees. They are kind, attentive and friendly. The food? We have tried pretty much everything on their menu at this point. The cheese board is massive, great to share. The hot honey pizza is one of their best items. Plus, they have a constant changing seasonal menu that has had some delicious items (artichoke salad & ahi salad to name my favorites so far). There are a plethora of seating choices with the cutest patio. It's the perfect spot for just a drink, a girls night or date night. We're always looking for new places to try and heard about this place. Cute indoor seating and plenty of outdoor patio seating. We were warmly greeted and told to sit anywhere and they will come with the menus. Plenty of different wine options and they also had a small selection of cocktails. We opted chose a carafe of red sangria. Loved it! We then ordered a sausage mushroom pizza, a side salad and bolognese pasta to share. My favorite was the pizza! The pizza had a nice thin crispy crust.. I love thin crust pizza... the ratio of sauce and toppings were perfect. The salad was a good portion with a nice bright vinaigrette. 4.5 stars. I've been here a couple of times for a Paint Nite with friends, as well as when Claremont has their wine walk. Super friendly staff at the bar helped us pick out some cocktails. They were also able to offer one of their mocktails but with liquor since the combo sounded really good and we wanted to try it without the "mock" part, lol. The warm brie and baguette with honey is really good and the pizzas are pretty good too. I've only sat inside, but the outside patio area looks inviting. Parking in Claremont isn't exactly straightforward, so that can be challenging, but the location is still good facing 1st St. on the corner of Harvard Place. When I can't find street parking, I will use the parking structure across the street on 1st. Overall a charming place perfect for a girlfriend hang out or casual date night. read more

This place is awesome. We came here to pass time before catching our flight. We asked to leave our carry ons in their closet and they kindly agreed to our odd request. We said we were going to eat lunch and then walk around, but we never left because food and wine was good and we were so relaxed, enjoying our time. We had red and white wine tastings, sausage and mushroom pizza, side salads, and brownie and chocolate chip cookies. Pizza hit the spot paired with the side salad and the wines. All so yummy. And OMG the desserts, warm and fresh and sooo good. The space inside and out was beautiful. I would totally come back here again when I town. We walked out with two bottles of wine. Running a business while understaffed is not easy. We stopped by on the day they were short three employees. At least that is what the server told us. The wait time is understandable, we could see that they were doing the best they could have possibly done. What is not ok, is attending people who arrive later than those waiting to be served. Service 3/5 It was our first time here, we had asked if it was self seating, we are told that someone would help us. Few minutes later, a couple walks in, they sit themselves and are attended immediately. The person that took our order only checked on us once after seating us. The first was to take our order, and the second time was to charge us. Someone else brought the food out. Ambiance 4/5 They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. They have many heat lamps, that can be turned on when it gets cold. They won't turn them on unless you ask a few times. Food 3/5 There is nothing that stood out. The over priced charcuterie plate was in all honesty a joke. The side salad could be $5 and not $7. We had a pizza, it was pretty pricy and average. The food is served in bamboo plates and you are given bamboo utensils. Everything is disposable. Wines are ok sangria was meh. read more

This has happened multiple times. I try to go back because the ambiance is really nice. I darted in-between a barrage of peckish Yellowjackets and made my way to a table far, far from the front door. Tis the season. The ambiance is absolutely terrific, and the bartender Karen is an actual gem. What a delight she was, fun to gab with and made incredible wine recommendations. I agree, the whole cluster pinot noir is special as hell. I love that they use compostable dishware! Thank you! Where we splintered off - was the pizza. It was an absolute tragedy. It was just bad on top of bad on top of bad. The crust was the most offensive - it was insanely doughey and undercooked and piecey - it reminds me of when I was a kid and I home-made pizza with a Martha White instant pizza crust mix. There was no gluten development, no chew - it was dense and wet and undercooked and fell apart instantaneously into weird dough-blob chunks. The sauce was overly-zesty, acidic and super concentrated like it was super cooked-down. The cheese lay wet and flaccid on-top like a heavy quilt. I was famished, so I ate half of it, but I refused the leftovers - who leaves pizza?! I was still hungry, so I went for the cookies and ice cream. It wasn't anything special, but it was well-executed and the strongest of the menu items I tried. Will I be back? Yes. I want to hang out with Karen and join the wine club and eat cookies and ice cream at the bar. Nailed it! Let's just jump right in! The wines were great, the food was wonderful and the service was spectacular! Do you watch Glow Up? Yeah me neither, but if you did because your wife makes you watch it also, you would get that this place deserves a "Ding Dong!!" The Baked Goat Cheese and Honey Squares... What?!? Yes, delicious. The Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza, who does that? They do, it's awesome! Needless to say they are hitting on all cylinders with their food menu. The one thing worth mentioning is that while the food was incredible, the bamboo cutlery (cutlery? silverware? bamboo-ware? whatever...) really detracted from the quality of the food. The food IS that great, it deserves better than a bamboo fork. I get the sustainability piece but washing silverware might be more sustainable than one use bamboo... but anyway let's not linger there anymore... the food... GREAT! Their wines were pretty great too. We did a flight and the presentation was excellent! Little beakers! This is so cool! And we could skip the argument of "you got more!" if you are sharing the flight because the beakers show you that you are a greedy pourer and you did pour yourself more! Either way we did get more because the wines were delicious and the pizza needed a glass (or two) to join it. I admit I am a bit picky when it comes to wine, but this place has nothing to worry about there. They are absolutely producing some quality wines. They have something delicious for everyone and they are doing it right! It's not spicy), sausage and mushroom pizza, goat cheese and pear squares, and ham and Brie sandwich. Recommend all of these! I never heard of this vineyard so I also got the wine flight. I'm not a sommelier, so this is just my opinion. I love my cabs robust in flavor with a hearty oakiness. I'd say Grafted's cab is on the lighter side, however, it still tasted good enough to drink. A nice pair to the food options on the menu. The prices are not bad at all. So again, a great place to grab a bite to eat, drink and chat with old friends! Customer service is EXCELLENT! What nice people! One behind the counter. 2 on the floor. Packed house and yet they still got our order and drinks out without waiting too long. They were all so patient as I looked at the menu for the first time. No rush. Took the time to recommend things. Bring out extra requested items. They are just awesome. I've passed by a few times since it opened and finally remembered to stop in and I was not disappointed! We had so much fun with our wine tasting and tried the hot honey pizza and dill pickle pizza. Both were unique in flavor and made with fresh ingredients. We didn't see much of the inside, but the patio was spacious and had music. Okay I can confirm what some of the other bad reviews have said about the food we ordered steak and fries. Our table also ordered a burger and pizza and we had bruschetta. The bruschetta was extremely crunchy crouton like " bread" and they weren't fresh and toasted. Too much vinegar. Not enough olive oil. The recipe was very tart. This morning my wife said she was sick from the food last night. She had the pizza. And my mom and I had fries which were awful. They tasted funny. My steak was very low quality. It was cooked all right just tasted mediocre like a $2 dollar breakfast steak. They got a wine flight which was nice. I had a West Coast IPA which was good although I can't recommend the food and the service was kind of weird but whatever. I think if this place improved the food quality it'd be much better but I'm not waiting around to find out with so many good options here in town. Also, I thought it was hilarious that three tables of wine snobs looked at me when I pushed my chair in. I guess it made too much noise and they didn't like it. We laughed at them and walked out the door. By the way, we got another round but all this was 175 bucks which was kind of questionable for the low quality food. It was Pie Day so while everyone was queuing up for $3.14 pies at Blaze Pizza down the street, I landed here with the hopes of feasting upon their artisanal pizzas, as that is now a thing. I ordered the often mentioned Goat Cheese & Pear 12" Pizza for $24. It did seem somewhat reheated with fresher toppings -- goat cheese, pear slices, Roma tomatoes, fresh basil, and fig jam -- added on top. The prosciutto up charge for $4 was a little up there for not that much meat. The crust was very thin, a bit tasteless, and I want to say it was gluten-free to some extent due to its texture. The ingredients though were choice and incredibly yummy. The sister serving me was helpful in itemizing my receipt for the proper business expensing. They have wine readily available and a subscription/ club membership they really like to push. Parking is free and easy in slanted spots along the street too. No happy hour as far as I could see on a Thursday but a respectable sip and savor spot regardless. read more

The primary reason why I called is last few times we were there, seems like "last call is a big issue" last time we were here we were told last call 45 min before closing so you can imagine why I called. coincidentally, it's the same person who had announced "last call" the last few times we've have been here. Stopped in today with some friends to try the all new brunch. Staff is always so friendly and nice. This isn't a review of them at all. We ordered the croque madam Which is listed as "served open faced on sourdough with ham, gruyere cheese, bechamel and a poached egg" The kitchen staff made us a ham sandwich... It wasn't open faced, had no egg and had no bechamel? When I asked the staff they asked the kitchen cook for an explanation on why the dish wasn't made with everything on the listed menu. We could hear him since we were facing the door and he said "I can give them an egg but it's the same thing." He gave the girl and tray and she brought us out cold poached eggs in a condiment cup. I don't think we will be coming here for brunch again, seems a little weird to start your first day of brunch and not have your kitchen staff ready to serve it correctly or even understand what a croque madame is. We bought everything on the menu u to try and it seemed a little disappointing to sell us an $18 ham sandwich, and call it a croque madam. I appreciate the staff who did apologize. read more

I am utterly disappointed by my experience at Grafted Cellars. Sunday night (9/14), I went with my girlfriend and her friend for her 21st birthday and had reasonable expectations for food, wine and service -- The ball was dropped at almost every point during the night. The food arrived almost an hour after ordering, which is completely unacceptable for a cheese board, salad and mussels. If it didn't come so late, on paper plates and with unprofessional service, maybe it could have been better disguised, yet it was all mediocre at best. I had to go inside to speak with the bartender multiple times about about our food, the fact a drink never came, getting the adequate amount of silverware, etc, though I will say he was more helpful than our server, who never circled back during the course of the dinner to check on anything, even when our drinks had clearly been finished for a while and our food had not arrived. However, it seemed like she was happy to continue opening bottles for the older Claremont crowd, of which she was highly attentive to. Please note that it was not at all busy and there were only a handful of tables seated. Everyone in my party felt agist undertones during the entire experience, which is not a great feeling to leave customers sitting with, especially in a college town. I would also like to add that I'm not a Karen - I engaged firmly but respectfully during this entire encounter. I'm a college student who has been rubbed so wrong by my experience at Grafted Cellars that I would be remised if I did not share it. If you want shitty service, overpriced food, and run of the mill wine, this might be the place for you. If not, I would never recommend this establishment and I will never be returning. This is very cute and cozy little bistro. I am not a wine conaisseur and I enjoyed our little wine tasting. The olive tapenade with the crostini was very satisfying. I really was looking forward to my steak frite dinner however the food came out cold and super salty, and the sauce was not the one that was on the menu.
