I've been to Grafted Cellars in Claremont a couple times with my girlfriends, and we always have such a great time, especially because of the fun menu items and events! Weekly Events: Grafted Cellars regularly hosts various events throughout the week, such as pictionary, paint nights, and trivia. My friends and I have come by to participate in trivia several times, and always leave looking forward to the next event. The trivia questions and categories are always well thought out and can be incredibly niche (which is a good thing, especially for trivia aficionados -- I can't count the number of times I've heard "What is the tallest mountain range in the world?" at other trivia sessions. It gets old.) Ambiance: The interior is so cute! There's a bit of a cozy cottage vibe going on, with the exposed beams and how intimate the space feels. Service: The servers are friendly and check in just the right amount -- enough to ensure that you get your drink/food orders in regularly, but not too much (to distract from the trivia at hand lol). Food/Drinks: Our go-to order is normally the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza, which is made fresh to order and comes to the table piping hot. Also, it seems that seasonally, Grafted Cellars comes up with some fun wine flights and pairings -- we especially enjoyed the Valentine's candy and Girl Scout cookie pairings. Such a nice way to have a little bit of whimsy while catching up with friends. Parking: Parking can be a little tricky, since there's only so much street parking shared amongst all the boutiques and restaurants that are concentrated in this area. But I find that I'm normally able to find something within a reasonable amount of time if I circle around the block a couple times. All in all, always a fun time! My friends' and my go-to spot for good wine, good conversation, and good trivia!

Trivia: I was totally unaware of the grafting act with wines from Europe in America. According to their website, how long has grafting been happening to "solve a worldwide hardship in grape growing?" I've been to Claremont twice in my life. I've been to Grafted Cellars both times. On the first visit I made the mistake of leaving without a couple bottles of their wine. I didn't make that mistake the second time. I had delicious wines during both visits. The complimentary tasting flight (because my friend is a wine club member) was superb. The vegetarian charcuterie plate full of cheeses and breads and spreads perfectly complimented the wines. Highly recommend!

Great food and amazing service! The wine is yummy but Omar's lemon drops are the best in town!!!

Loved the quaint warmth and welcoming service from the staff. Inviting and accommodating. Bar or low top seating areas inside or patio space. Cute shop for a wine down. Innovative beaker flights with controlled pour. While meandering around the downtown area this is a great stop to include. Street parking right in front or lot nearby with short walk.

Such a super cute wine spot! I have been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. The outdoor area is so nice, the lights make it feel cozy and intimate. Inside is a whole vibe too. It's the perfect place to chill, relax, and sip some wine. Definitely a great spot for a laid-back night out!

Wine flight and half charcuterie board

We visited for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed the wine, food and atmosphere. They were having a trivia night which we did not take part of, but it seemed like everyone was really enjoying the game and a lot of regulars. They have a wide variety of wines and helpful tasting notes you can look up with a QR code. We did a Groupon for two wine flights and a half charcuterie which was a great deal especially with it being our first visit. The half board charcuterie was a very generous portion. We also tried the hot honey pizza which was very fresh and delicious. They offer indoor, outdoor and bar seating. We will definitely be back to try some more food and wines.

We randomly discovered this place walking around Claremont Village. I have been to Claremont Village many times. And it was my first time spotting this hidden gem. It's such a cute spot. Perfect place to grab brunch and a drink with friends and catch up. There are indoor and outdoor sitting. But I would say outdoor was more lively. I only had couple of drinks here. I will come back for food next time. Also, the service was excellent. Friendly staffs!

Rose of Syrah is light and crisp. Pairs great with the hot honey pizza!

Grafted Cellars is such an amazing place to grab a glass or bottle of wine and relax the day away. Our servers Ally and Wendy went above and beyond to explain our wine options. Very personable and knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back and enjoy some of their activities. They do Trivia on Tues and Music Bingo every other Thursday.

First time visiting Grafted Cellars and we sat at the bar,we had such a great experience! The bartender Omar was welcoming, offered excellent food recommendations, and made amazing holiday drinks. Everything was flavorful, festive, and well crafted. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely establishment which holds the charm of old Claremont. Relaxing, mature, and friendly vibe with gorgeous indoor seating and peaceful dog friendly exterior patio. The wine selection and services, membership, and food are all fantastic and I wish this place continues to be a staple to Claremont for many years to come.

Great service, awesome wine list, and a tasty margherita with house sauce and chewy thin crust, loved it!

The food was average. The service was solid. I 4th star was for the wine selection. The selections were impressive and the server was knowledgeable.

We were first introduced to one another by the previous owners, Mary and Jim, during one of their events--little did we know those introductions would grow into lifelong friendships. Over the years, our Wednesday Wine Nights became a tradition we all cherished. When we learned that the shop was going up for sale, we were understandably nervous. We wondered what would happen if it didn't sell--where would we go? And if it did sell, what if the new owners changed the shop in ways we didn't love? What if we didn't connect with them the way we had with Mary and Jim, who had become family to us? Then it happened, the shop sold. We were introduced to Maria and Veronica, and it was truly love at first meeting. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming women, and they have brought fresh ideas and wonderful energy to the shop. Our Wednesday Wine Nights continue today, and we are grateful to have gained new friends in Maria, Veronica, and their families, who help run this warm, family-operated business. The Third Street Wine Shop remains a place where you are welcomed the moment you walk in--where the owners make you feel like you're their only guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a tasting, a glass, or a bottle of exceptional wine, paired with one of their beautiful charcuterie boards or other delicious snacks. And for those who prefer beer, they offer a great selection of local craft options as well. We hope to see you there soon!

My husband and I went to Viva Madrid for our anniversary, we went out for the first time alone since our baby was born 1 1/2 years ago. I will say that the drinks and service were great As a chef, I would be so embarrassed to serve the food that my husband and I were served. The mushrooms in white wine sauce were flavorless and slimy. We ordered the pan con tomate and it was like they opened a can of tomato paste and spread it on a piece of white bread. We were informed that any entree would take exactly 1 hour to execute. We ordered the Paella Mixta and Filet Mignon. The mussels were overcooked, the shrimp had no seasoning, and it seemed like they weren't really paying attention to executing the dish correctly. The Filet Mignon was not seared at all, super disappointing for it being a $45 dish! The sauce was drowning the meat and the potatoes were way overcooked. I don't usually expect much but this was very disappointing. I think maybe it's time to reevaluate some of your side dishes or have cooks that care about how your food tastes.

We will definitely stay at hotel again and being that there are 30 restaurants within a block we will never need to experience the bar again. She was knowledgeable about the menu, welcoming from the moment we sat down, and attentive throughout the evening without ever being intrusive. The broth was so flavorful that we ended up ordering extra bread just to soak up every last bit of the sauce. My mother-in-law chose the Angus Prime Rib, a Sunday-only special served with au jus, horseradish cream, scalloped potatoes, and charred broccolini. I was lucky enough to try a bite, and it was honestly one of the best prime ribs I've ever tasted tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.
