    Tenderloin

I love small Indiana towns and Fairmount fits the bill. Excited to see such a high rated place on Yelp in this small town so we were anxious to try. Walking in we were hit with a pungent odor that was very off putting. Everyone in our group noticed it and were concerned but looked past it. Then we ordered drinks -- PAPER STRAWS. Shocking and not the place you'd expect to have this crappy product. We ordered the pork tenderloin thinking it would be the huge flat piece that hangs over the bun. No, it's more like a fried chicken breast that fits on the bun. It tasted alright but not my favorite. The macaroni and cheese was fine but not special especially for the $3 up charge. We all just left underwhelmed which was disappointing because I really wanted to like it. Next time we'll just go get a pizza next door at Bad Dad. It looked a lot better.

Great spot for dinner! We had the Bavarian pretzel sticks to start, and they were really good--soft, salty, and perfect with the beer cheese. For our meals, we got the Hoosier Hot Plate and Maker's Beef Tips. The tenderloin was crispy, and the sweet and savory sides made for a great combo. The beef tips were super tender with really good flavor. We finished with the lava cake, which was warm, rich, and gooey. Service was great, and the atmosphere was nice for a date night. Definitely worth a trip back!

Grains and Grill is a delicious oasis They have a wonderful bar and cocktails. This time my son got the walleye special. That is not to be missed. My daughter got the loaded mac and cheese. Get one to go for tomorrow! I had the beef tips and a bourbon beer. Oh yes. We started with the pretzels and pub cheese. Yum! Two desserts wrapped up the evening. Both were excellent and great helpings. We arrived just after 4:00 and ended up on the porch (all reserved up). I wouldn't trade the view and relaxed, summer atmosphere. As always, wonderful service. Can't wait to get back.

Butternut squash ravioli with chicken & ricotta cheese. It was a special.

This was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. From the beginning to the end. The service was excellent, the food was superb & we will be back!!! The whipped feta dip was really good & the special was butternut squash ravioli with chicken. It was divine!!! The atmosphere is great! We drive from Greenfield to Fairfield for our date night.... So worth it.

Was in town with my husband. He had eaten here in the past and liked it so much he wanted to take me here. Delicious. We came in on a very busy Thursday night. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. We both had the Hoosier hot plate. It was flash fried pork served over mashed potatoes (or you could get a baked potato) with creamed corn and sawmill gravy on top. Sounds like a mess but it was amazing. The bread they serve is also really good. Tastes very fresh and is hearty. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place and look forward to coming back soon.

Loved this!! This was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the beef tips with cream of corn and mash potato's. I personally could have passed on the dessert because I'm not a fan of cold desserts. Next door, is a brewery that you can walk to and bring beer back to your table. They also have there owe bar but we wanted to try the other place.

Wonderfully cozy and casual atmosphere with high quality food! We stopped in with my sister and BIL - we were goofy trying to relive our last couples trip - but our server Jessie was so patient and fun. Appetizers of fried mushrooms- small and none of that "mush" that sometimes happens with mushrooms- and Brussels - my sister thought we were nuts ordering them because she hates them.... She tried these & loved them! Hubby had Hoosier HotPlate (pork tenderloin) and said it was fantastic. Sister had bourbon glazed salmon and said she's quite picky but this was perfect. Bourbon glazed beef tips with mushroom and onion was so delicious. So excited to get gooey butter cake to go! Oh! And Deere John cocktail was like vacation in a glass!

Tesla EV charger (free for customers)

Great food while your EV charges! My wife had tenderloin plate which she deemed delicious. I had truffle honey chicken with fried asparagus and it was really good. Asparagus was big hit, as were the mashed potatoes. Definitely will go again. Although there are 2 Tesla destination chargers (which I used for my non-Tesla with an adapter) they are partially blocked by a grain bin structure. Not sure 2 vehicles could charge at the same time. Hopefully owner moves chargers to a more accessible location!

Allegedly, in 1933, Dillinger robbed the near by police station of guns and ammo. Hence the name...Dillinger's Bar & Grill. Dillinger's is a smaller but wide open restaurant. An inviting bar is centrally located. The wooden floors, ceilings and hand-hued beams are probably original to 1880's business structure. The facility is simple and sports a lot of Dillinger references like the table tops. I found the team here to be very friendly and willing to serve. The menu is fairly large with lots of Dillinger coded menu items to choose from. The prices were very reasonable with decent portion sizes (i.e. no highway robbery here lol). We started with the onion rings. They had a thick piece of onion and equally thick batter. The batter had a bit of a beer seasoning, slight oily taste and a moderately crunch. Really good tasting ring! The side salad was small with a nice mix of simple side ingredients - tomatoes, onions and cheese. My wife had the Wheelman wrap. She said it was loaded with tasty turkey and bacon flavors. She liked the fresh taste. The fries were thinner and crispy. I ordered the Silent Shot breaded tenderloin. It was very thick and juicy. The pork taste really came out nicely. The breading was thick like the onion rings - slight crunch and slightly oily. The sandwich came with all the usual toppings. The Cole slaw was also very tasty. The small slaw pieces were almost diced. The mayo base was slightly sweet with a hint of vinegar. It stuck to the slaw pieces without being soupy. Overall another interesting, out of the way place, with good drops and service... to dine and experience some Americana.

A nice younger man took care of us on the patio. The menu was quite eclectic and unique. The tortilla chips and cold bean dip was a great way to start. Both our soups were fantastic....cheddar cheese for one and leek soup the other. Fish and chips hit the spot and apparently a fan favorite. My wife had the club sandwich of GF bread. And I stood up I just said please watch your language, please. I don't like it around my wife. At that time, one of the assistant managers at Texas Roadhouse came over and said we can't have this here and ask if I wanted to be moved. I informed her that we were not moving. And that if you wanted to move the other people that would be her decision. Later the main manager came up and spoke to us about the situation and apologized for the actions of his assistant. He stated that he did not believe that his assistant had acted in Malice. He then offered to comp a meal and I told him that was not necessary but if he felt that he we should do so that would be all right. While the manager did come back and talk to us and confidential and I appreciated those actions the main part was the actions of the other patron. Behavior like this should not be tolerated within a good establishment such as the Texas Roadhouse. We did notice that while we were eating the other individuals involved in this were either asked to leave or decided to leave. I sincerely hope that this individual will recognize what he had done was unacceptable and was inappropriate in front of his children as in the wider audience of those at the restaurant. I will continue to eat at Texas Roadhouse. The one in Muncie never seems to have these problems. I surely hope this was a isolated incident and will not occur again. In closing I just want to say words matter and should be carefully considered before spoken. Treat everybody with respect as well as your own family and those around you.
