Malverne is the Mayberry of Long Island. Small town, easy walking to and from your home to independently owned shops and local businesses in town. If Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls were a real place, Malverne would be a worthwhile rival. Grami is the latest coffee shop to open, and it's worth a visit! THE GROWS: There is on-street parking, but beware of where you park. Read the signage, since this shop is across from the LIRR, and feed the meters if you park there. THE GLOWS: There is stable wifi and it's free. Their coffee is outstanding. The first time I went there, I ordered an iced latte with coconut milk and added pistachio flavoring. When the young person handed me my order, she asked me to try it first to make sure I liked how it came out. It was perfect! Each time I've been there, I've had a different version of iced coffee, with the pistachio being my favorite. They will customize your drink any way you want. Another thing I noticed is how they have a wooden playset of a barista station in the corner for young children. How nice is that? First timer at this adorable cafe. The owner Andreas and server Nicole were so friendly and accommodating. We tried a number of items, mini croissants, potato pie and peinirli. They were all fresh and delicious. The coffees were excellent. My granddaughter enjoyed the plain mini croissants and played with the children's coffee display. She had fun pretending to be a barista. Next time I will take pictures of the delicious treats. Such a great place to unwind, relax and enjoy good food. read more

Stopped by on a Tuesday evening. Stamatis was so kind and helpful. The inside was clean looking, seating near the window and tables and a sweet looking toddler coffee play set in the corner. Had the bougatsa, pistachio croissant and peinirli (olives and tomatoes) - they were all delicious. I'll be back soon to try a drink. Street, metered parking. Okay starting off with 10/10 perfect butter croissant, because if you know, they are truly hard to find in NY. Came here on a rainy day to wait for traffic to slow down, what a gorgeous cafe! I really like this spot. It's so cute and cozy as a little corner cafe. The service is always prompt and friendly which is nice considering how busy it can get sometimes. Great tasting brewed coffee at a café located right next to the Malverne LIRR train station thats open late (9pm daily) - a rare combination. They have a menu of Greek baked goods like spanakopita and baklava but I didnt get to try. My wife thought the coffee was good as well and she's pickier than i am. Recommended. read more

Bad service and made me upset very . bland coffee , will not be going back here again. I am so upset with the service, but the staff was very nice. I am just very disappointed in my iced coffee very bland, not enough oat milk and when I asked for some sugar, the guy made a rude face at me. PS I usually order coffee with vanilla creamer, but they said that all they have is syrup. read more

Sooooo, the coffee is EXCELLENT!! I got the Baklava Cheesecake and that was MEH... It's just very sweet and that's all it is. If you like baklava, then just stick to that because there is no need to add that cheesecake layer. In fact, it just ruins it. lol. Grami is the perfect addition to Malverne (& really Nassau County!); the almond croissant was the best one I've ever tasted and the potato pie is absolutely delicious. My daughter loved the Greek chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice (made by one of the owners himself!). The staff are kind, energetic, and go out of their way to find the best drink/treat that fits your taste and interest! I have been here three times after my nearby yoga class, today included. The people are so friendly. The owner came out to say hello. They put out delicious samples of cookies. I took two stickers. And my iced coffee was delicious! They offer a lot of choices and flavors. And you get rewards points directly on your phone, so it is easy to keep track! The seating area inside and out is clean and shady most of the day, and overlooks the park by the Malverne train station. Good luck in this venture! I will be back often! read more

I've been wanting to try Grami Café in Malverne for the longest time, so I finally woke up 10 minutes earlier before work just to make it happen -- and it was 100% worth it. The café was peaceful in the early morning, the staff was incredibly kind, and the whole space immediately felt warm and welcoming. You can truly tell this is a family-run business that takes pride in its Greek heritage and Mediterranean culture. I loved the thoughtful details throughout the café, especially the fresh, clean aesthetic and touches like the evil eye décor that gave the space so much personality and charm. Even after I left, I noticed an employee outside cleaning and brushing the front entrance that was already spotless, which says a lot about the care and pride they put into the business. I ordered the spinach feta pastry along with the seasonal Tres Leches iced coffee, and both were phenomenal. The counter guy mentioned the drink was seasonal, so I knew I had to try it -- and I'm so glad I did because it was rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. Since I paired it with a sweet drink, the savory spinach feta was the perfect balance. I also loved seeing the variety of options they offer, from croissants to sweet and savory Mediterranean-inspired items. The iced lavender matcha latte was probably the best. Still a little too sweet. Last was an iced matcha latte; overpowered by sugar. If you want to taste your matcha or coffee, definitely request less sugar, much less. I didn't eat the pastries but my family said the chocolate croissant was flaky with good quality chocolate. We had it warmed up; definitely recommend that. The service was very friendly and helpful. Inside it's dark with cool paintings on the walls. They have several sitting areas with all types of couches and chairs. Outside it smelled like weed; inside it did not. Well, there you go!

I've noticed some reviews say they are cash only, I paid in cash but I also saw some customers using debit cards. I got my dad a bag of coffee because I have Christmas money I had saved to take him out and we only went to Panera a few times so I've been buying him bags of coffee from the nice coffee shops. I got an iced cafe mocha with half and half. It was very good, creamy, chocolately and it gave a nice buzzzz. The coffee shop itself is very small, most of the space is dedicated to their coffee machines and food service. There is limited seating outside but it's not a place where they encourage you to stay and hang out after you get your coffee. It's still good though. It's more of a grab and go coffee spot. They also have no bathrooms but if you ask for a bathroom they will refer you to the train station or the cathedral near the coffee shop. I would recommend coming here for coffee it's really good but if you're looking to linger you can't.
