    Cute decor! Very homey :)

Gramma's sits right off Highway 55 as you drive through Cascade. This homey restaurant whips up a variety of breakfast and lunch items that take you back to your own grandmother's kitchen. Better said, that is the goal. My take on Gramma's is, at most, it's good. I can't say it's my favorite breakfast spot but it's not the worst. And it's also a good alternative to other eateries in McCall if you are willing to drive down. It also tends to be less busy, however you can expect to be asked to wait if you visit on a Saturday/Sunday mornin'. My husband and I dipped out of McCall to avoid the crazy Sunday brunch rush and stopped by for a quick bite here. I'd been mad craving some good ol' fashioned sausage B&G ($4.49 for a small) so that's what I ordered right as I sat down. My husband chose to delve into the Blueberry Pancakes short stack and added 2 eggs, with orange juice to drink ($3.49). The biscuits and gravy were goooooood. Served fresh, made that morning, HOT, with large chunks of spicy breakfast sausage in lots of creamy gravy piled on a split homemade biscuit. Yes, they biscuits really were homemade. It was excellent. I wasn't the biggest fan of my husband's blueberry pancakes. They end up charging an extra $0.75 for EACH pancake that has blueberries, the menu isn't clear about it. Also, there weren't much at all. It definitely was just ready-to-make pancake mix, not even the sweet cream kind that some establishments wisely use. I did appreciate the choice of maple and berry syrups. Overall it's worth stopping by especially if you are hungry and the lines in McCall are ridiculously long. Attentive and quick service as well, always a plus. I would go back. :)

Excellent veggie omelette. Only one waitress and she was slammed, so service was slow-ish. First and only restaurant in Oregon and Idaho to have decaf coffee. Yay!

I felt that it was a very clean restaurant. It was a convenient stop coming back home from McCall. The service was friendly too.

The milkshakes there are better than any of the milkshakes I've had in McCall or Boise.

My sons huckleberry lemonade was delicious. Husband had a local IPA and I had the Spiked Strawberry Limeade (vodka). I liked it so much I ordered another when we returned later that night during a free concert. It was late afternoon. We were enjoying the patio and decided to just eat an early dinner as well. The Buffalo cauliflower is a must. Cauliflower prepared and served just like your favorite buffalo wings- we ordered ours with blue cheese and ranch sauce. Wow! I would come back just for the cauliflower. Did I just say that? Really? Yes I did !!! My son had the To Die For Grilled Cheese panini with bacon, tomatoes and avocado. I would totally order that on another visit if in the mood for that dish. It was served with what appeared to be fresh, hand cut, homemade fried potato chips. I would come here again just to nibble on those homemade chips with a beverage. Ps I love potato chips. Especially very good ones. My husband and I split the Kobe burger. This was a very good solid burger, very tasty and yes it was satisfying. I'm not sure about it being actual Kobe beef? I mean what percentage of meat needs to be Kobe to call it "Kobe" beef? I digress... this patty looked like a premade patty from Costco or McDonalds. I was less than thrilled by the look of the actual meat patty. However, like I said before, it was indeed a very GOOD tasty burger. Good bun, fresh fixings etc. So what do I know? I liked it and I would certainly order it again. I'm surprised by the quality of this meal at the now defunct Tamarack Resort. The resort offers very limited weekend service during the summer, so my expectations were low. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I even spied the chef walking around the patio tending to some home grown tomatoes and herbs. I'm hopeful and want to support Tamarack whenever possible. It was a very nice end to a super fun family day of riding. I enjoyed having the amenity of a nice spot to grab a drink and some good grub at the foot of the mountain.

I ordered the black and blue burger and WOW--so flavorful with that extra special touch that made it stand out from any burger I've had before. The pork chops with baby potatoes were perfection, and then... Lumpia?! What?! So good. Every dish was a hit. Not to mention the carrot cake they brought out to us for a pre Valentine's treat! Devine! Huge shoutout to our server, Kelly--she was amazing! Friendly, attentive, and super helpful. The owner, Derek, even came by to say hello, which made the experience feel extra welcoming. And Dalton in the kitchen--wow. Major talent! Such a great find in the middle of our trip. We'll definitely be back next time we're passing through! If you pass this place during 75 you're doing yourself a disservice!

That said, solid craft beer selection, and I had maybe the best elk burger ever. Cooked perfectly, great seasoned crust, pink to a touch red interior and the combination of horseradish, melty cheese, pickled onions and local micro-greens sent this thing over the top! My wife's loaded fries were tasty but missing a little 'zing' (acidity, maybe?), but quite glad we stopped for dinner on our way to Lake Cascade - will definitely be by again!

Honestly, the only good things I can say are that the location is great (right in the heart of…read moretown, with water views if you get a window seat) and the reservation process was simple online. We made a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday, and honestly, they weren't packed (they still had plenty of tables open). When we arrived there was no one at the host stand, and when they came they didn't check us in right away. Once we confirmed the reservation it took about 10 minutes for us to be seated, and there was a couple that came after us that had a reservation at the same time and were seated before us (okay, no big deal). We did get a window seat, which was nice. But this is supposed to be an upper scale restaurant in the area, and the silverware we were given was dirty, so not a great start. The server came to take our order, we ordered mocktails and a huckleberry lemon drop as well as the bread basket and the cured meat and cheese plate- compared to the Cutwater, honestly, no comparison. The teens didn't even drink the mocktail (which the server did take off the bill, and that was nice) and the lemon drop was okay. The bread basket and meat plate were fine, but we wouldn't order them again. My son ordered the 12oz ribeye (which was nearly 60.00) and I would say at least 50% of it was fat, and his was overcooked. I ordered the flat iron, and mine was undercooked, so he ended up eating mine. The herb roasted potatoes needed seasoning and felt like something they simply tossed on the plate. My daughter's Caesar salad was as expected to a side salad. Our server never came to check on us after the food was brought out, and we waited for her to return after we were done with the food for nearly 20 minutes. Overall we were disappointed and not truly certain why this place is recommended above other similar places in town. Very expensive, seems like it is trying to be upscale or more "fine-dining" but it missed the mark for us.
