I rated this a three because I felt it was just your average burger. I had the Sharlie chicken burger and my husband had the Mountaineer that has pastrami. These were good, but the chicken burger lacked seasoning. We also ordered onion rings, these were your typical frozen onion rings was hoping to get something better when this place is highly rated. The service was great, we got our food quick for as busy as they were.. we stood in line longer than it took to get the food!!! The outdoor area had lots of seating and there are a few inside, so make sure it's a nice day when you go so you can enjoy the outside area. It was great to go to once but think I will try a different place next time:) read more

Had to give this place a try since we were in the area- it's super cute, and the service is fast and friendly. They have a decent sized menu and everything came out quickly and was fresh. We enjoyed our burgers and fries, and if we were in the area would probably go back again. We didn't have a milkshake, but that is a speciality there so next time we would try it for sure. The girl who took our order was super nice and helpful. We got our food quickly and we were grateful for some indoor table since we visited on an unusually cold June Saturday. The food was fine- I prefer my hamburgers cooked a little longer, so next time I'd ask for that. Other than that, it was a good visit. Portions are huge. What a delicious restaurant. Sometimes the line can be quite long, but the freshness and taste of the food makes it worth it. We have eaten here three or four times and always been 100% satisfied. I would recommend this place to anybody that is visiting McCall and wants a fun place to grab some food. The milkshakes are also very awesome! read more

The burgers and fries were perfect. They state their burgers are cooked medium well, but we asked for medium rare and they delivered. We were able to select from various cheeses and raw or grilled onions. We both had a pilsner that was refreshing and paired well with the meal. We even ordered an unseasoned elk patty for a special treat for our dogs after a long hike. You order at an outside window and get a number to put on your table. It seems there's always a line to order, but that's for good reason. The food is delicious and delivered reasonably quickly considering how busy they are. If you want something to drink or a milkshake, you can go inside and order at a separate register to avoid the long food line. The outside seating is comfortable and seems to turn over fast. It's not fancy, but it's good. Don't let the line discourage you. It won't take as long as you may think and it's well worth it. read more

I'm a big fan. Been in Idaho for 3 years now and let me tell you, the food scene and yelp reviews for places are all overrated, except...this place. This place was legit. We had cheeseburgers and wife had her mushroom cheeseburger as a keto, a few junior cheeseburgers for the kids since they come with the toppings as well as a milk shake. They were all done well. Food was tasty. Definitely worth the stop. Dinning area was small inside with some outdoor seating. It was adequate spacing but could get busy. Service was quick and friendly. read more

Holy yum! We popped in for a bite on our way to our camping spot in Ponderosa, and now we must go back EVERY TIME we are in McCall. We recently moved from Southern California to the Greater Boise area. We decided to come to McCall for our wedding anniversary. An absolutely beautiful drive up. We decided to have lunch at My Father's Place for lunch. You order, they give you a number, and you find a table. We had burgers, fries, and shakes. I really like that they have so many flavors. I had blackberry. The burgers were juicy and tasty. The fries were good but could have been more well done. The shake did not have as much blackberry flavor as I would have liked, but was still good. The staff are nice, and the location is close to the lake. The inside of the restaurant has a musty, unpleasant smell. However, we will be back. read more

Nutella shake is the absolute best!!! The coffee shake didn't have much coffee flavor and the huckleberry was good, just overrated IMO.

This place has the best shakes I have ever had. I tell you I have had 3 peanut butter Oreo shakes this last month and they are all bomb. The peanut butter to Oreo ratio is perfection. Super yummy burgers! Shakes are not very flavorful, but they're huge. A large fry would easily feed 4 if you're doing burgers and shakes, too. Lots of seating, but it's usually a long wait. We would wait a max of 45 minutes... it's not worth an hour and a half wait. read more

Every time we have come to McCall this place was packed. We got there just before the lunch rush which was a good thing. The line got really long, really fast. There is no indoor seating and only a few tables had a roof over them. We got lucky and got the last 2 person table and didn't have to sit in the pouring rain or we would have ran back to our car and eaten in there haha. The burgers we got but not amazing and the fries were tasty. The shake was so thick your have to eat it with a spoon.
