This review is only regarding the posted hours versus what I experienced upon arrival…read more I had a long day at work and was really looking forward to treating myself to what's rated as the best Chinese food in the area. I even drove a bit out of my way to come here, only to find a "closed" sign on the door. I truly hope everything is okay with the owners and staff, but it was disappointing that there wasn't any notice or backup plan for unexpected closures. From what I could see through the window, the restaurant looked very clean and well-kept. I'll definitely want to try again another time but will certainly call first!!!!

Yes,…read moreFrankenstein can buy into a good hype every so often which the Bride of Frankenstein enjoys pointing out. Especially when Frankenstein is wrong. Frankenstein enjoys braised beef noodle soup. A lot. Frankenstein's heart was yanked out of his huge body and crushed when Mandarin Deli went out of business during Covid. A pain he still feels even today. They had the best Braised Beef Noodle Soup ever! Frankenstein went hook, line, and sinker when he read the Yelp hype about this place. Bottom line, nice people, not as awesome as was described. Braised Beef Noodle Soup- Sorry Noodles Kitchen but it's too chili hot. About a 8.5 to 9 on Frankensteins too hot scale. Beef was okay, not great. Noodles were good. Bride of Frankenstein had one taste and pushed it away. "Mucho Caliente" Orange Chicken, fine. Let's not go overboard everyone. Pan Fried Dumplings, good. Check it out for yourself. 10/11/2025 Update- It saddens Frankenstein to see so many fake reviews over and over again. Really Noodles Kitchen? Please.

I got the sesame noodles and 6 pc signature dumplings. Here's a tip - when you order to go they don't give you the sauces. You must get the sauces. I used the little cups and got all the sauces. The garlic sauce and hot sauce and you must use it. I swear it makes a huge difference. Also like any dumplings you must consume it right away. The restaurant was clean and open so even if it's casual it's a good place to eat with family/ friends. Since this is a a known Taiwanese franchise, all the other customers were Asian so that tells you it's legit! I'll definitely order again for lunch. Online order is the best, you can do it in their site and pick the time for pick up and it's ready. They have combo meals but my order wasn't a combo. I picked up and ate it there.

The options seem similar to Chubby Dumpling and Tigawok. I ordered the #4 Combo, with the Signature Dumplings and the Signature Noodles. Both dishes were good. The Signature Noodles were nicely done and had some good flavor, I just wish that there was a protein option to add to it. The Signature Dumplings were fine. I've also tried the Spicy Wontons, which were small but tasty. The big sell here is the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, for $17.95. This is the only dish that's served in a big ceramic bowl, and not a to-go container. It also comes with a proper Ramen soup spoon. This is a meal on it's own. Filled with broth, noodles, chunks of tender, but fatty beef, daikon radishes and bok choy. The dish is good for the price, but the broth was a bit underwhelming for my taste. Fortunately, they have plenty of condiments to add more spice and heat. Over all, Bafang Dumpling was better than expected.

It was carb heaven, with super rich cheese, egg, and butter. 100/10. The khinkali were some of the best dumplings I've ever had. And the tabaka was slightly spicy and so flavorful. Highly recommend.

I took off 2 stars for 3 reasons. 1. Parking is absolutely terrible. Very congested plaza with tiny spaces. 2. Absolutely 0 customer service. The women working there look and sound absolutely miserable. There was not a single smiling face in that tiny whole in the wall restaurant. No Hello, no How are you and no Thank you. Took me back to Soviet Union days. 3. The price point. You're located in one of the most ghetto parts of Van Nuys and you don't even provide table service. How can you justify charging this much? After I ordered my food to go I stepped outside to have a cigarette while I wait and left my receipt and one of their menu's on one of the tables. While looking directly at me one of the women took said receipt and menu and trashed it when I came back inside, I came back up to the front counter and asked for them to reprint my receipt. Of course I got attitude for that as well. Do better.

We didn't mind the wait, but if you are on a time crunch it may be something to consider. Service was attentive regardless and we had an overall good first experience. We also ordered the fish bone broth (not the miso soup) and the umami flavor was spectacular. We also appreciated how each handroll was wrapped in fresh crispy/crunchy seaweed and the sushi rice complimented each fish well. The dry aged fish was super tender and creamy and had no fishy taste at all. Our most favorite out of the 5 was the lean tuna, steelhead salmon, and whitefish. We'll definitely be coming back and would love to try their other individual handrolls not included in the pre-fix combinations.

Unassuming spot that is part cafe and seafood market as well, I can respect a place that is trying to make the most of its space at all hours. Excellent quality fish, good seasoned rice and crispy nori all come together to make the tastebuds rejoice. Slight nuances on the classics, light handed mayo and just sweet seafood pushes this up the bar for us. No problems on service for a relatively filled Saturday later evening meal. I'd skip the shrimp and octopus salad even though usually those items always pique our interest. Would definitely return!
