    Amazing prices for lunch specials
    Eva C.

My parents actually discovered this spot during their nightly walks--back when the restaurant was still under renovation. So needless to say, we were really excited to finally try it once it opened, especially since the Valley doesn't have a huge scene for authentic Chinese food. And let me tell you--we were not disappointed! The soup dumplings were juicy and packed with flavor, the noodles had that perfect chewy texture, and the broth tasted rich and homemade--definitely bone broth, not just MSG. And the orange chicken? A must-try. The owner mentioned it's a unique spin on the classic dish, and it totally delivered--crispy, tangy, and not overly sweet. And if I could, I'd give the service a 6-star rating. I'm all for supporting local, family-owned restaurants, and the owners were incredibly attentive. We brought our two toddlers with us, and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable--checking that the table wasn't too small, offering extra bowls for the kids, and even handing out fortune cookies while we waited to keep them entertained. They also brought us complimentary lemon water infused with passion fruit, which was absolutely amazing. We were so busy wrangling the kids that we didn't get any food photos, but I did snap a few shots of the menu. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and care that went into everything. We'll definitely be back--there are so many other dishes we're excited to try next time!

Tasty food with good portion sizes. This is Chinese food, not Panda. I am definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. Please don't come here expecting all your dishes to be drenched in some sweet teriyaki sauce. Chinese food is simple and lightly seasoned with the taste coming from the fresh ingredients, not the sweet heavy sauce to satisfy the "western" palate.

It was about 9 :45pm and we were looking for a late night Chinese restaurant when I saw this new Chinese restaurant nearby that closes at 11.Their service was great for how late we showed up. We ordered the fried noodles combination, the orange chicken, and the 8pc fried dumplings. All the food was authentic and delicious but the star of the show was the orange chicken. It's crispy and the sauce is sticky and full of flavor. Customer service was excellent and friendly as well. This is definitely going to be one of our go-to restaurants now.

    Spicy Braised Beef Noodles

Just came back from Shanghai. The food here is pretty good. The beef noodle soup had hand cut noodles with a nice broth. The beef was very soft. Ignore the review about it being spicy it really isn't . They also have some other dishes that were good; tho definitely Chinese-American dishes. Will try the XLB next time. We went on a Tuesday night and they close at 10pm. Guess they are a newer restaurants and hours may not be updated Overall very solid Chinese place. Would recommend

A hidden gem in the valley, and more than deserving of all five stars. I was looking for a place that served exceptional Chinese food. I will never look any further than Noodles Kitchen. Every single dish tried tonight was absolutely phenomenal. Each bite bursting with flavor, and it was really difficult to stop eating. Service was amazing, the shop is cozy. Such a great family run restaurant, already can't wait to return!

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

It was refreshing to not be disappointed by our ramen, so my mom and I went back less than a week later. Any issues we experienced our first visit were either repeated or amplified during our second visit. Both times I noticed that the ramen isn't served hot. At best, it's served warm, so despite being a quick eater, the last bites of my bowls were "enjoyed" cold. Also, the restaurant is very busy with to go orders, so the overwhelmed staff has to juggle dine in as well as delivery drivers and their priority is the to go orders. They have a sign up/wait list, but they don't follow it. Customers who stand at the door, in the staff's view, will be seated before others who signed up before, but are off to the side. Lastly, is the issue of cleanliness. Our first visit the restaurant didn't feel very clean, but by the second, I was sure they weren't cleaning throughly. We ordered fresh garlic and the garlic masher they gave still had old garlic inside. On top of that, they don't wipe tables between customers because they're so busy. Strictly rating the food, Kai Ramen deserves a solid 4 stars, but as a whole, I think 3 stars is generous. Unfortunately, another visit wouldn't change anything because the problem is caused by management understaffing and overworking employees.

Upon entry there is a takeout area where you can order hot meat dishes and to go menu or dine in. We got complimentary hot tea when seated. The interior is a bit dated compared with other restaurants of this type but the food was delicious. We got duck and preserved egg porridge, scrambled egg with shrimp, and a two bbq combo plate of char siu and roast pork. The porridge came out fast and delicious! We ate with the chili and white paper available at the table. Next came the scrambled egg and shrimp. We actually ordered the version with rice, not the entree so the servers got us some rice but missing the gravy. Lastly came the bbq combo plate. We thought it would arrive first since the meats were all ready to go in the takeout area. It came with some hoisin sauce. The char siu was tasty. The roast pork however was not as crispy and kinda mealy so the sauce helped.

Now those same entrées are $20 and up I used to be able to order four dishes for around 45 to $50. Today I spent 65 for three entrées and it's barely enough for two people. The servings have gotten a lot smaller over the years. I understand the price of food has gone up. So I expect to pay higher prices. But if I'm gonna pay $20 an entrée, I expect to have a full meal for two people at least. And this was not that. The flavor is still excellent. And the service is bare none. I visited the takeout bar so I didn't have a lot of ambience. But the restaurant was crowded as usual. If they give us a little bit more food for the money, I'll be happy to give them a five star rating. Because I think they're worth it.

I thought it was just a ramen place, but turns out they have Pho and all types of noodle dishes. I ordered the beef pho over the phone with a felt nice lady. She made me feel comfortable and didn't rush me or anything. They also have a texting system which lets you know when your order is ready which I liked. When I arrived I was confused on to where to park. The restaurant is on the main Street Ventura, where they have metered parking in front. In the back they have a parking lot which is free for short period of time and behind that more metered parking. The noodle spot is on the first floor of the la Reina mall and has indoor and outdoor seating. I came around 2pm on a Tuesday and it was empty. It looks pretty clean inside and if I ever wanted to come eat in I wouldn't mind it. The beef pho was a good portion of food. It came with all the sides of veggies, peppers, and sauces. I liked the flavor of the broth. However I must say that the beef portion seemed a bit underwhelming. With only 3 small slabs of beef, I found myself still wanting more protein. I would like if they maybe had 6 slabs of beef and it was cut into smaller pieces. Besides the beef shortage, I think I would come back but ask for more meat.
