I came a few minutes before opening and the door was already unlocked and they were happy to serve me early. I appreciate that! Some places won't do that - if you know, you know I love that there is a variety of dumplings, potstickers and wontons (soup and non- soup versians). If you're an overall dumpling lover, come try this spot and don't forget to ask for a stamp card
This woman was so rude. I asked for a sample of sour soup and she said no and disregarded me immediately putting her back towards me. She did the same thing when I asked if used Va discount. I told her I would yelp this she is the asian one with the short haircut. Also she used her hands to touch my wontons. It old her that was unsanitary. I want a fresh batch then she used prongs and wiped her head with the tip of them. This is so not right and now she making new wontons and letting my sour soup get cold she wouldnt let me sample. Somebody needs to give her a pep talk. Right before I left she started at it again! Using her hands when every other worker is using gloves. I called her out. She said oh well they are wrapped. Listen viewers I seen her grab them with bare hands and throw from freezer straight to fryer. I guess she thinks she is too good to where gloves.
Potstickers, dumplings, noodles, and soups are all delish and affordable. Their pork chop is super soft but a tad bit oily but still awesome! FOOD 4/5 Not bad for fast food grab and go including their frozen offers which I keep seeing tons of customers pick up. FAIR AMBIENCE 3/5 Open high ceiling and decent seating but WOW it's dirty here. The single shared bathroom is nasty, sauces are empty, and the trash was overfilled. Sad the (3) employees don't rotate or have time periods to clean up everything SERVICE 4/5 Always consistent from ordering and making it made to order. PARKING 4/5 LA Fitness and other restaurants share the lot so it's a hit or miss when you come.
My first time at Bafang, but I will most definitely be back soon to try more of their menu. This is a fast-casual chain hailing from Taiwan, where they have more than 1100 locations across Hong Kong, China, and their home country, making it (per their website) the largest franchise restaurant operation in that part of the world. Here, it's very much a simple affair: Formica tables, digital menu over the register, plastic trays and utensils. Order at the counter and grab a seat, your electronic number will vibrate when the food is ready. While you wait, you can fill ramekins with self-serve dipping sauces: soy, sesame oil, black vinegar, a composed garlic sauce and a spicy Sambal. I opted for their Signature Potstickers, with a filling of pork and cabbage, and an order of the Spicy Wontons, which are steamed and tossed in said spicy sauce, topped with scallion. The potstickers were nicely crisped, with a mild but flavorful filling. They worked well with all of the sauces, and were very satisfying. The sauce atop the Spicy Wontons had a nice heat that tingled without overwhelming the tongue. Alternating bites between these two similar but different-enough dumplings was a nice way to enjoy the meal. They have a number of other options on the menu: Chinese soups like Wonton and the like, some noodles, a fried pork chop, and an entree-sized beef noodle soup. It all looks good, and it's all fairly priced. A nice addition to the quick meal options in the area, and far better-tasting than what you get at the other, well-known fast food Chinese places.
Super fresh dumplings! The dumplings remind me of the ones I grew up making with my mom and grandma because they have such fresh veggies in them. The first time I came to this restaurant and I tried the pork dumpling, I cried because I was so nostalgic of the home made dumplings that I missed so much. At this time, I've tried all their dumplings, the pot sticker, hot sour soup, and a few of their rice bowls. I really love the original pork dumpling and the chicken corn dumplings the most. But I still eat the kimchi and veggie dumplings too. It's nice to eat them hot in the restaurant, but they are also sold frozen. The frozen ones are so convenient for work night dinners. Great way to gave a quick dinner of fresh dumplings. My husband loves their pork bowl. It has pork cooked different ways and a delicious pickled veggies to contrast. The service is so nice. They answer all my questions very thoroughly. I appreciate that the food is made to order and still very quickly ready. For take out, the food is packaged very thoughtfully to prevent spills.
The dumplings are great! I got the signature dumplings, 12 pieces with a hot and sour soup. I also really enjoyed the sauces. The soup was SO hot at first i couldn't eat it. I waited a bit and still ended up burning my mouth. The hot and sour soup was ok. I liked the veggies in it but ultimately not for me. The wonton soup was so incredibly oily that we did not enjoy it. The flavor was just dominated by oil. Customer service was just ok. I had some questions and it felt like the cashier was rushing me a little. Price point is pretty good for the amount of food you get. Overall, I'd come back but only for the dumplings.
We went to the City of Industry location when it first opened and was pleasantly surprised when they opened another location closer to us in Van Nuys! This location has good traffic from the Costco and gym nearby. We loved getting the dumplings and beef noodle soup. They are quite flavorful and satisfying! If you need more sauce there is a station to get your fill of garlic, sesame oil, black vinegar, soy sauce and chili with ramekins. The beef noodle soup does have a bit of heft to it so worth it if you're hungry and need something substantial. All the dumplings are great to snack on.
Ok, so I came here on invitation & I had the wonton soup. It was so good! My friends had the soup & she's obsessed but it was big enough for her to swim in, so we packed it home. We shared dumplings & they are so good! I'll definitely be back for those. It's a nice, clean restaurant & everyone was really friendly. You order at the counter & they give you a buzzer when your food is ready to pick up. The car park is a little tight around dinner time, but it's nice & easy spaces. Would definitely come back for the soup! I love that this is a TAIWANESE place with all the flavors to match!
The Taiwanese beef noodle soup was exactly what I was craving. Deep flavor, firm noodles, and tender meat with pickled collard greens to boot. Portion size was good too. Not the best one I've ever had but would go back for this. The signature noodles were just okay, not flavorful. The signature potstickers were better. They have a sauce table.
Tried it today for the first time... I ordered ahead online so it is ready for pick up... Food: I orderd 2 Bafang Noodles, 2 Fried Pork Chops, 2 Spicy Wonton and 1 Signiture 6pc pork dumpling for iur lunch. I must say that everything was delicious!! My son who's apicky eater, loved the noodles, dumpling and porkchops - like he literally ate a lot and even said, "their food is good!". The serving portion is decent for the price. From my opinion, the noodles is good for 1-2 people especially if your are planning to order other entrees. But of course if you have a big appetite then order for each... Like for us (4 in the fam) we actually didn't get to eat 1 of the extra bafang noodles and fried porkchop and there are atleast 6pcs of spicy wontons left - so I no longer need to cook dinner for tonight coz' we have some more food to eat! Yay! Service: I didn't get to go in the store, my husband picked it up but he said, the food was ready, the staff are nice and helpful and the sauces are in the condiments section and it is self serve. Ambience: Since the place is new, it is nice, clean and spacious he said and the place where Bafang Dumpling is at is right accross Costco Gas Station. I can't wait for this place to open in Northridge since that is going to be closer to us!! 5 stars to Bafang!!
I love the people and the staffs here , I don't like the rude people coming at these employees Around last month I came to the restaurant to order then this Chinese man was being rude to the staff caused he ask why it took 20 min yelling and everyone could hear it's a small place and I saw he got a pork chop with rice I'm there like I came before you and he is a liar cause it only took 5 min wait. Not sure if that Chinese guy was high. Don't like people whose being rude karma is real. Those employees are good , love how patient they are especially when I ask them what comes inside a sign noodle. He told me the information and he told me there's an allergy chart if you are allergic to it. And he's right I'm not allergic to it but it's really good information to know just in case I bring my friends here. Cause my friend can't eat pork . And the allergy chart was amazing information. He's nice , smiles a lot love that cause I feel welcome. Then I ask this girl m with ponytail with wavy ponytail (she's looks mix Asian & African American) , I ask her information about other noodles , she's respectful and thoughtful, she answer my questions also show me the allergy chart. Very good.
It's a quick service restaurant with a few tables scattered around, for groups of 2, 4, and I think 6? The food came out after around 10 minutes and they give you a buzzer to tell you when it's ready. Of course it's authentic, the chain had over 1100 locations in Asia before coming to the US. We got the Taiwanese beef noodles for $18 and the 12 count signature dumplings for $14. Pretty pricey, but the food is good. The Taiwanese noodle soup has a mild beefy flavor that lingers with the oil. The beef is really stellar--soft, gelatinous, and delicious! My big complaint is the radish, it's cut like 2 giant logs so there's a strong radish flavor and boring texture. The dumplings are juicy, the pork and cabbage is soft and satisfying though, and the wrappers have a nice elasticity that gives it a good chew experience. But the flavor is also rather plain, but this is from someone spoiled with authentic homemade dumplings. They have a sauce counter with garlic, black vinegar, chili, sesame oil, etc. I tried the vinegar and it was not what I was expecting? It was sweet and not very acidic. There's a cpop playlist in the background on speakers that aren't too loud. Parking lot is big but can get crowded from how much is around. Not bad if you're craving it, but I don't think this will be in my regular rotation.
I realy enjoyed the dumplings here and service from Bafang. I stopped by at lunch and it wasn't too busy. From ordering to receiving my food was only about 10 minutes. I ordered the Noodle and potsticker combo with a side of dumplings for about $23 The least favorite for me was the noodle dish. It wasn't bad, but I think it just lacked flavor outside of the spice. It had a good kick of spice but it was kinda flat and not really exciting or unique. The noodles however were so good, cooked well and chewy. the potstickers were crispy, juicy, and filled well. While the dumplings were also cooked well and stuffed, juicy, and went so well with the vinegar and sauces available for you to serve yourself.

Been eyeing this place since they opened and finally decided to pull up. The inside is clean and order straight at the register. Staff was chill and friendly. I grabbed the Taiwanese spicy noodle soup and some regular dumplings to go. Not the cheapest, but the soup? Honestly a solid win. The broth was flavorful with all the fixings, definitely hit the spot. The dumplings were a little on the blander side (kinda giving Costco frozen dumpling vibesl), but i drop them straight into that spicy noodle broth. Trust me, it completely levels them up and makes the whole meal so much better Overall a really solid meal, I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu! read more
There seems to be a lot of new Asian, fast food style places popping up around town. I have never heard of Bafang Dumplings before and I just happened to see it driving by. The options seem similar to Chubby Dumpling and Tigawok. I ordered the #4 Combo, with the Signature Dumplings and the Signature Noodles. Both dishes were good. The Signature Noodles were nicely done and had some good flavor, I just wish that there was a protein option to add to it. The Signature Dumplings were fine. I've also tried the Spicy Wontons, which were small but tasty. The big sell here is the Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, for $17.95. This is the only dish that's served in a big ceramic bowl, and not a to-go container. It also comes with a proper Ramen soup spoon. This is a meal on it's own. Filled with broth, noodles, chunks of tender, but fatty beef, daikon radishes and bok choy. The dish is good for the price, but the broth was a bit underwhelming for my taste. Fortunately, they have plenty of condiments to add more spice and heat. Over all, Bafang Dumpling was better than expected. read more

TL;DR: delicious authentic Chinese dumplings in Van Nuys with quick service in a clean atmosphere!! AMBIANCE/PARKING: The parking lot tends to be a little on the crowded side, but you are always able to get a spot pretty close by! It is nearby Costco, 99 Ranch, and LA Fitness. The restaurant itself is very clean and bright with plenty of tables for dine in and space to wait for takeout. Not a hole in the wall by any means! It is counter service but definitely comfortable to eat in. SERVICE: Counter service. You order at the register. You can also order online for a quicker pick up experience. There are usually 2-3 workers who are working the kitchen and register simultaneously but you don't usually have to wait long to place your order. The food can take a little longer just because it's made to order so feel free to take advantage of online ordering ahead of time if you want your food more quickly. The staff is nice though! FOOD: Delicious and authentic!!! Would highly recommend! Menu: They have a decently large menu. They are known mostly for their dumplings, either panfried potstickers or boiled dumplings. I tend to get the potstickers because they're juicy and crunchy and satisfying! However, they also have other options ranging from noodle dishes (Dan Dan noodles, sesame noodles) and even spicy beef noodle soup 紅燒牛肉麵! I usually opt for their combos, which consist of 12 or 6 dumplings or potstickers with something else like a wonton soup or noodles. You can customize it all, like choose regular or kimchi flavored dumplings and choose what side you want. It's all relatively affordable, around $15. The potstickers themselves are delicious. They have a great flavor and are panfried to perfection. Definitely give them a try if you want authentic potstickers. You can also buy the dumplings frozen if you want to cook some at home! Overall, LOVE bafang for authentic Chinese dumplings at a good price! Definitely check it out next time you want a quick, delicious, and authentic Chinese meal! :) read more
We have been here several times. The place is always clean, the counterperson is always courteous taking our order. The potstickers were pretty good. The hot and sour soup was excellent. The pork chop itself was quite subpar, but the pork belly rice was very good. Not sure we will come back read more
Found this spot few months ago, and it exceeded my expectation! I enjoyed their beef soup and the serving is huge! It's definitely shareable. I also enjoyed their steamed dumplings. I love how there's selection of flavors for it. Service is phenomenal. I mis-ordered and the manager did her best to change it for me when I realized I ordered something spicy and my child can't have it. It's a great sit in place as well. Families were there making memories. I just didn't enjoy their noodles and I don't get the whole rave about it. Overall, I'll come back for more dumplings and soup! read more

Their noodles rly taste handmade and so fresh and squishy and the sauces are a party in my mouth lol. The wonton soup broth is super comforting and I always leave fulfilled and satisfied. Can't rly go wrong with the noodles and I LOVE some of the ones with Malaa flavor (def an acquired taste but so numbingly spicy and good)! Hot sour soup is solid though wish they have it without pork/meat. |[ d r i n k z ]| They also have boba drinks and it's decent though I wish they had sugarfree options. Plenty of seating, super great service, clean and bright ambiance. Parking lot out front. |[ o v e r a l l ]| I'm p obsessed with the flavors here and the only critiques I have? Lower/remove the oils (it's too oily-- the flavor wouldn't be affected by less/no oil! Health comes first to me) and have sugarfree boba/milk tea drinks. Or even fresh soymilk. This is just an update from my 5star review before,,, Food still the same, delicious and appetizing! Now they added the pork chop pork belly rice to their menu and it was very good. My only complain is that I wish their service would be faster, it is taking them forever to prepare a meal and it is very frustrating especially when you're hungry coming in to this place. In our case, it took 40 min before we got our food. Not good for diabetics like me esp if you have taken your meds 30 min before your meal! Do not come here on a busy day or hour, chances are, you'll. get your food waiting an hour!!! Add more staff! 2 stars! read more

OMG, the valley has legit dumplings!!! I had never heard of Bafang Dumpling, but I saw the sign on my way home from Costco and had to try it. Bonus they're from Taiwan (shoutout to my peeps!), so I had high expectations. The dumplings are delicious!! I've tried the Signature (pork and cabbage), Chicken and Corn, and Kimchi and Pork. All good, but the Signature and Chicken and Corn are my favorites. For noodles, I like the Signature noodle and the Beef Noodle Soup (c'mon, they're from Taiwan. You have to try the beef noodle soup). The beef noodle soup had huge chunks of beef and daikon. The broth flavor was spot on. Combos are a good deal so you can get both noodles and dumplings/potstickers. You can order online for pick-up so you don't have to wait, or you can order at the counter. It's a very casual place - plenty of tables if you want to dine-in. Nothing fancy, but very clean. There's a condiment bar for chili sauce, garlic sauce, and sesame oil. You can also buy frozen bags of the dumplings. So much better than Costco Ling Ling's. Highly recommend!! Free parking lot, but it's shared with LA Fitness, Zankou Chicken, and other stores, so it can be crowded. There are a few designated spots in front of the restaurant for pick up (10min parking only). read more
Great dumpling spot in Van Nuys! We came here for dinner with our daughter who loves soup dumplings, but unfortunately they didn't have those. She wasn't having the corn and chicken or signature pot stickers. I ordered the signature noodles, which I wasn't a huge fan of. I did love the pot stickers and my husband who got the sweet and sour soup enjoyed it. Ordered my daughter the won ton soup, which she ended up liking. Guess you just gotta know what to order. I was excited that they had boba, but only the milk kind. Service was really friendly and we will definitely come back! read more

Bafang Dumpling is a chain that I've never walked into until recently, and I'm surprised I hadn't earlier. This style of Chinese food is always welcome in the valley, where there is not much. My favorite here is their simple Soy Awesome drink, which features soymilk with red bean, taro paste, and grass jelly - the perfect layer of sweet without being overbearing, and a good variety of textures for the "itchy" mouth - iykyk. Service here is also amazing, and every time that i visit the staff are more than happy to explain their items. Food and wait times? Like Asia, efficient! Quick in, quick out! I had their #4, which featured potstickers and their signature noodles. While they are preparing food, you may wait in their well-lit area, featuring white tables and wooden chairs in a relaxing ambiance. Potstickers? Perfectly fried, tender, juicy fillings! The taste was perfect. Signature noodles? A nice mix of savory peanut sauce and chili sauce... but not a fan? No problem! Whether pot stickers or noodles, there is a self service station where you can make a blend of your favorite sauces between garlic, soy, vinegar, and sesame oil. read more
Such a nice location for Bafang Dumplings. We ordered traditional noodle. Beef noodle soup and Spicy wontons. My favorite is the spicy wontons. Noodles are really good, I am not the big fan of thick base for dry noodle. So the soup one is a bit better for me. The portion is fairly big. The staff were so welcoming and nice, I love them! The store is very clean. Plenty of seats to eat inside. The food was ready rather fast. We will be back:) read more

I am here for lunch and hugely delighted to have this nearly brand new Taiwanese eatery in the San Fernando Valley. I got their spicy beef dry noodle with an iced oolong milk tea for two classic Taiwanese experiences. I almost never order sugary drinks but this oolong milk tea without boba (tapioca balls) is not overly sugary. The spicy beef has very fresh ingredients which are carefully hand-picked and clearly labored over with precise presentation and a separate space so you can control your level. The cooling milk tea is fresh and clearly quality to compete with the many Boba places throughout the Valley. Because it is nearly brand new built, everything is perfectly clean, including the spacious restroom and the plentiful organized parking afront. First time trying this place. Only tried their noodle and soup dishes. Haven't really tried their dumplings yet. We got the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, beef dry noodle, and hot and sour soup. I really like that their soup was served hot (just cause I like my soups really hot). The beef noodle soup didn't have a consistent tenderness of their meat. Some meat chunks were tough, and some are super tender. The broth taste is good though. This was a clean tasting soup. The dry beef noodle was okay - had some beef shavings which was good with the garlic sauce and spicy sauce. The hot and sour was the one I really enjoyed the flavor the most. It was served hot as I like it. Staff were super friendly. They answered the questions so kindly and politely. I even then asked to have the mala sauce while I started eating already and they gave me a side of it to try. I like that they have a sauce counter - which had soy sauce, garlic sauce, chili sauces and some I could not remember for your dumplings or any of your food. Has a self serve drink area as well. I saw this place on my way home and decided to try it out. The place is nice and clean I decided to try out their Combo #8 (Old Fashioned Noodle + Bafang Pork Chop + Lemon Black Tea) for $16.50. The Old Fashion Noodle is Soy flavored and a tad oily for me but it does taste good, I wish the portions were bigger tho. You could swap the old fashioned noodle with the Bafang Signature Noodle, I wish their noodle portions were bigger. The Bafang Pork Chop was excellent. It would go well with rice, which they are currently working on getting. You could swap the pork chop with the Chili Pepper Fried Chicken The lemon black tea was ok, but the cup was like 8oz cup with no refill, I was thirsty so I had to order a large soda, you are not allowed to switch the tea for the soda. The servers were nice, friendly and helpful . I'm planning on trying out their Taiwanese Beef Noodle soup and Chili Pepper fried chicken the next time I visit. read more

Finally go to trying out this dumpling spot that was newly opened a month and a half ago. When we came inside, we were greeted by staff. Looking through the menu, we were also told that they were out of the Corn Chowder and the Hot & Sour soups but luckily they still had Wonton. After you place an order, they give you a beeper. The style is fast food where you order and seat anywhere. We chose to do to-go to eat at home and I did find the packaging cute! Our food was made to order as we waited a while. The pork and kimchi dumplings were soft and delicious, not too spicy, and had a nice crunch inside from the kimchi. Dumplings here are so good and recommend the corn and pork. My friend recommended the kimchi and pork flavor for the potstickers. The noodles section are dry with no broth but the Taiwanese beef noodle comes with soup as shown on the menu. The Bafang Signature noodle is also very flavorful and great to pair with another dish I'd say. Overall super happy with the newly opened location!! Parking is shared with a large plaza and the grand opening sign is still displayed at the front! P.S You can also order bulk frozen dumplings from here! read more
I was just there to get their boba drinks. I ended up ordering Oolong boba milk tea. I liked it. I can taste oolong tea flavors with soft bobas. Not bad. Service was fast and servers were attentive and friendly and explained their different drinks that are on menu. This place is clean with family eating style. I will come back to try their dumplings next time. read more

This was a solid ok for me. Cute and mostly clean shop. They had a lot of boxes kinda blocking the bathroom. For me the dumplings, pit stickers, noodles and soup would all be similar to if you went to Ranch 99 and made it yourself. The katsu was good but needed sauce. There is not service, and they ask you fair a tip when you order. read more
Parking: depending what time you go it can get busy because it's shared with many other businesses, but it's the lot that free and shared with LA fitness Service: it's an order at the counter and you get a buzzer type sit down restaurant. People working there are nice and they keep it clean Food: some of the best dumplings and noodles I've had in the valley. The dry beef noodle was thick and chewy, I got the spicy sauce and it had a good flavorful kick. Potstickers were great. Decent portion for the price, maybe smaller portion than I'd like for the price but quality of the food is good and it's flavorful. Nice to have a Taiwanese place out here in our side of the valley and not have to go to SGV if I want a quick fix. So happy for it and highly recommend :) will be back read more

I love that more Taiwanese spots are opening in the valley! Bafang is in the same plaza as LA Fitness so parking is more limited during dinner hours. --Combo #4 (Signature Noodles + Potstickers): this combo was pretty delicious. The signature noodles had a peanut base and numbing spice. The potstickers were solid. --Taiwanese Beef Noodles Soup: noodles were cooked nicely, beef was tender, but the broth needed to be more savory than sweet in my opinion. --Chili Peppered Fried Chicken: the meat reminds me of popcorn chicken, which I loved but I didn't like the spices it came with.. it was too sweet! I didn't really taste the spice at all. --Hot Sour Soup: I wouldn't get this again.. Plenty of indoor seating. They also sell boba! Overall, Bafang is a valley 4 in my book, and I would come back if I'm not up to drive to San Gabriel. read more
I came here for lunch with coworkers as we were in the area for a field visit. The noodles were underwhelming and lacked diverse flavor. I think they need to consider adding veggies or protein to it because the portion is pretty large for it just to be noodles alone. The sesame noodles had a good creamy sauce but was very flat, and I needed to get sauces from the bar to mix in. The potstickers were quite good, and very perfectly crispy. The restaurant was clean, and you could tell it was a modern and newer establishment. I don't know if I would return if I had to choose it over other Asian food options, but it wasn't a bad choice for a quick lunch. (3.5/5) read more
