I tried so hard to be patient. I normally don't do this, but when it's this bad. I really wanted to help this business with my business. The girl is really nice that works there. But that only gets you so far. I order 2 main jets for the bike I am working on for a friend. I ordered them on March 13 (Wednesday) and she said they are pretty fast at getting the deliveries. She said should be here on Tuesday due to the weekend. No problem. I call on Tuesday and no part. Okay, understand. She then says Wednesday lookin good but by Thursday...okay. I don't call on Wednesday because she said she would call...no call. Okay. So Thursday I call. She said no parts yet and she was go8ng away for the weekend and she won't be in on Friday but she will leave a note. I'm thinking oh goody, a note. So I call around 2pm on Friday. This is where I about lose my shit. (DON'T WANT TO OF COURSE) The kid that answered was obviously just a body with a head to say "Yes, we are open. Because anything past that, JUST DON'T!!!! Never got the parts...and let me just add...the 2 jets I ordered were gonna cost me 20 dollars. I went on Amazon and bought a kit of 10 various sizes of main jets and 10 various sizes of pilot jets for $9.99. I ordered yesterday. Got them today and bike is running better than new. Good Honest people! So, on craigslist for a ttr230 at a very low price. It was such a good deal, that we drove all the way from Bend to buy it. We got there, and it turned out to be a ttr125. Needless to say, we were very upset! After talking to Gary, I realized it was a honest mistake, and he said he would try to figure something out. We went to lunch and killed some time. He called us and said he found a 230 and could have it in a few hrs. We went to look at it and it was in excellent condition! They went through the bike, did a full inspection and even cleaned it! He sold it to us for the same price he originally advertised it for on accident! I know theres no way he could have made a profit on it. He was just making things right! Hell of a guy and I will be buying more bikes from them! read more

[TL/DR] Very bad customer service. They don't accept returns, only exchanges. Even when they've failed to call you on the day they said they would (or for the next 3 days after) so that you could put in your order for a replacement item. Even if the merchandise you're trying to return is unused. Ridiculous. The whole story: I got a helmet for someone's son for Christmas. It was a size too small so I went in on a Saturday to try and exchange it. They didn't have the size and color combo that the boy wanted and instead of letting me choose a new helmet from a catalog in the store on that day, they took my name and number and promised they'd call me back by Tuesday with my options so I could place an order for a replacement helmet. I reiterated a few times that I really needed the replacement by Friday and they assured me that if they placed an order on Tuesday that it would arrive by Friday, no problem. Tuesday came and went. Wednesday came and went. Thursday came and went. No call. At his time, I didn't know that Gran Prix wasn't going to let me get a refund; I assumed I would be able to get my money back from them and just get a helmet from elsewhere. On my way home Thursday, I stopped in at the other moto gear shop in Albany, Mr. Ed's Moto. They didn't have a helmet in stock either but I was able to place my order for one on Thursday morning and they assured me it would be at their shop the next day in the early afternoon. Sure enough, it had arrived on Friday and I finally got the helmet that the boy wanted. Problem solved. Or so I thought. I went back to Gran Prix to return the original helmet only to find out that their policy is that they only exchange items, they never offer refunds. I tried to explain to them that I already tried to get them to exchange the item and they failed to follow through on their end to call me so I could place an order, but all they did was apologize for the inconvenience and offered to exchange the helmet for other gear of equal value. But the boy doesn't need any more gear, and even if/when he does, I'm certainly never going back to Gran Prix to get it. You don't offer refunds, okay, but when you fail to follow up with me when you said you would so that I could get the helmet when I needed it, then still deny me a refund is just absurd. Hopefully people will reconsider giving Gran Prix their business and head over to Mr. Ed's Moto where their word is good. read more

Been here on several occasions. My girlfriend purchased a bike from them and is very pleased because they took the time to find out what she wanted to do as a rider and found a great bike in awesome condition and then took the time to set up the bike to fit her. Gary even took the time to show her how to kick start the bike properly and made sure she was going to be comfortable on the bike. I have purchased riding gear for myself and my girlfriend and had no problems dealing with them in a timely fashion. They have gone the extra mile to make sure that what we wanted, or needed, was going to be just that what we wanted or needed. Example of this is when I went to buy a new helmet for myself. The process went quick and easy because Gary knew what size I should wear and what helmet brand would fit me best, and he nailed it right on the head. Likewise with my girlfriend when she bought her helmet. He made suggestion and gave advice then she tried on several brands until she found a helmet that fit perfectly. (My advice is to fit a helmet before buying because its as much personal preference as the kind of shoes you wear...they need to fit right and be comfortable for you to enjoy them.) Gary has been very knowledgeable and helpful when I have gone to him for tech advise and even advice on riding technique. Currently I am looking at transitioning from enduro racing to trials riding and Gary has been a great source of encouragement and information since he is a trials rider. All in all this is a great family run business that has earned my respect and business and I will continue to go there myself as well as direct anybody to them that is looking for gear, bikes, advice, or service work. read more

Gran prix cycle is a one-stop-shop for all your motorcycle and atv needs. They have the biggest selection in albany, as well as being well known by the whole town. Their prices are fair and the service is always great. It is a family owned and ran business, so everyone who walks through the door is treated as a friend. About the only down side to this store is the location. It is way out on the outskirts of town which makes the trip out there rather inconvenient. The store has a good sized parking lot out front. The building looks nice from the outside, and nice display of quads and dirtbikes out front is a nice invitation to come in and have a look. One of the coolest parts about this location is the fact that there is a race track owned and operated by the same people directly accross the street. I always love going to this store and spending my hard earned money on unnecesary things for my dirtbike. read more
