Had the experience of a lifetime! We booked a 2- hour guided snowmobile tour on a Saturday with just 1 tandem vehicle, for my partner and myself. Our tour was led by the instructor Cory, who informed us of all safety protocols, while also throwing in a sense of humor. He was friendly and made sure to take stops along the way to allow our groups to take pictures. He also made short stops to inform us when we were about to enter a more difficult part of the trail. Grand Adventures was great from booking to completion of our tour! PS: If you do not have full snow gear, they have plenty of professional grade snow suits for $10 rental! read more

He was so easy to talk to and even gave us recommendations for lunch. Tanner is the best!! The girls at the front desk were a little miserable and not all the helpful. One of our passengers wasn't able to make the trip and they wouldn't refund me. The company provided a helmet, goggles, and the side by side. Would do this again as long as we get Tanner! read more

4.75 stars I was here a while back to go snowmobiling with a GF. Grand Adventures will give you a grand adventure. The snowmobile area is adjacent to Winter Park Ski Resort. Winter Park Ski Resort has been voted the Number 1 ski resort in the USA the last 2 years. So you know you're in for a quality time with Much snow everywhere. First off a lil history of how things work and how you need to prepare for your snowmobile trip. There are guided and unguided tours. If you are a beginner or even moderate snowmobile rider here take the guided tour. There are many trails to get lost on. Before you go make sure you have full face polarized goggles. A must! A very warm ski jacket, snow boots like LL Bean type that come up mid calf at least, minimum 2 bottles of water to take on your ride. You'll need to make reservations prior and show up earlier than your trip time. Do yourself a favor and get your own snowmobile IMO! Don't share. There is such a sense of freedom riding through the snow on your own snowmobile. Upon arriving you'll be signing wavers and paying in full. You'll choose your helmet and then go to the dress up gear room. You'll be required to wear a one piece snow suit and their boots also over your boots. Since most people do the trip to the Continental Divide which has an elevation at the very top here of about 12,000 feet you'll want to be as warm as possible. I was wearing my Eddie Bauer down ski coat(rated to -30 degrees F), with a couple layers of tops, long underwear, my very warm UGG leather and suede waterproof almost to the knee boots, 2 sets of gloves plus their mandatory one piece snowmobile suit and their boots and I still was a lil cold at times at higher elevations. Keep in mind it gets extremely cold and possibly windy. You are not at Big Bear, CA, Mammoth, CA or Lake Tahoe 5000 to 7000 foot elevations only. If the sun is not shining you could easily be -30F below. We were lucky most of the trip by being blessed with sunshine. We went out for a 3 hour round trip tour. The sights were Absolutely Breathtaking!!! The trails were stunning. At times we were riding right next to very narrow and extremely steep cliffs. Other times we were going up very steep inclines. On the return ride back we rode on very steep declines. The tour guide gave us breaks periodically. At about 11,500 feet up we were informed a blizzard was coming in fast so we fell short of seeing the top of the Continental Divide by about 500 feet. We did get lucky though and made it up to a large plateau area where we were allowed to just ride our snowmobiles and do fun maneuvers. I did plenty of donuts in the snow. We could still see the Continental Divide area somewhat but couldn't experience its total beauty and magnificence because of the blizzard coming in. The trip was such a blast and had such a wonderful feeling of pure freedom surrounded by continual amazing beauty. At the very end of the trip when we lined up our snowmobiles in a line one after another, my snowmobile had a weird malfunction. While in parked mode it jumped ahead and like humped on to the back of my GF's snowmobile causing $280 damage which I was billed for. So 4.75 stars. You can't buy insurance. I found out after paying the bill they sent me, I was actually covered for the incident by my car insurance. Great Adventures denied it could be a malfunction which I disagreed on. Anyway I wrote this review because most people don't see many snowmobile reviews. I wanted to share what was all involved because snowmobiling is such a great sport. It's super easy to drive one also. So no real effort or skill is involved like snow skiing. My ride was all about fun and amazing beauty. Seriously consider this snowmobile tour if you love the outdoors, and lots of amazing beauty in the snow for a day. Don't forget your 2 water bottles. If it's sunny the air will be dry. Great Adventures does several other types of tours depending on the season. read more

Do Not believe the negative reviews!!! It is my opinion that if something goes wrong here it's 100% operator error. I have never rode a snowmobile but have four-wheeler experience and it's the same concept; trade mud for snow. And not all snow is the same I've learned by coming to Winter Park. My family and I went on the 2 hour-closer to three hour- snowmobile tour to the Continental Divide, made it to the top, apparently this doesn't always happen due to weather conditions. It's was so beautifully breath taking! Words do not describe! Ayla was our guide and she was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable and conversational. She explained everything and took her time letting us take in the gorgeous scenery and everything. The only thing that got us was the location of the venue. Don't go through the lobby of WPML....go around to the back of the hotel on the left side if you are looking at the building. It's reasonably priced for the experience and you leave there talking about it for the rest of your day trip. Be sure to use the PANO option on your phone, it captures the scene magnificently! Had an amazing time on the Continental Divide tour in Winter Park. Our tour guide Keith was amazing. We were first timers and he clearly explained how to operate the snowmobile and made sure everyone was going to be safe before taking off. We stopped at several scenic overlooks so that we could take pictures. Keith made sure to go around and take pics for anyone who wanted him to. We had a full two hours on the mountain, which was enough for me because it was cold! lol One thing to be mindful of is that we had an 11:45am appointment and did not depart until 12:45. Between the paperwork and explanation of the rules, it took a while to get going. Not really a complaint because those things had to be done and we had some non-English speakers in our group so it probably took longer than most. The weather was perfect, the customer service provided by Grand Adventure's office Team was top notch and we were lucky enough to have Shawn as our guide. He explained the do's and dont's prior to our ride which made following him effortless. Once we got to the top, with all the mud on us, he made it a point to share his knowledge of the history of the railways. Pretty impressive. I went snowmobiling with Grand Adventures. It was fairly priced and they offer everything from goggles to ski suits to snow boots. The boots are included in the price for snowmobiling. We did the tandem snowmobiling and it was about 200. Goggles (about $30) and ski suits (less than $10). The views are this journey were amazinggggg. Zach was the absolute best tour guide. The entire trip was about two hours long. The tour guide took pictures for us (great photography skills) It was extremely beginner friendly. Our guide explained everything about the snowmobile to us in detail and also stopped in between the trail to check on everyone as well to keep us aware of what was going on on the route. Super magnificent experience, unguided tours are the best! The only reason I've minused one star, is because this place takes forever to find! BEWARE: There are two offices, one for guided and on for unguided. We were NOT told that in pursuit to our appointment scheduled at 1:00pm. It took us forever to find the office being described to us, because their road sign had been knocked over. The woman had to describe the actual building to us in order for us to find it. HOWEVER, when we arrived she realized our appointment was an unguided snowmobile rental and told us "OH that's our other office, down the road a bit.." Given our frustration due to miscommunication between both parties, our group of five was already on edge upon arriving to the right office. There was only one attendant for the 14 individuals (NOT including us) wanting to rent snowmobiles- I didn't really like this. Though the man was kind and efficient as he could be, we were now a full hour late for our appointment. Luckily, this did not subtract from our two hour rental time. After putting on the gear and signing waivers, we were given a short introduction/instructional/directional from a witty southern young man who made jokes and told us everything we needed to know about the trails and our snowmobiles. We got the fast skidoo xrt's; brand spanking new and extra extra speedy. I felt like such a badass zooming through the snow. I have a new appreciation for The Rockies and deciduous trees! The views were breathetaking and the landscape of snow is unlike anything I've ever seen! Colorado is super beautiful and a truly serene place. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the cold, I'm from LA so it rarely drops below 60 here. So to experience the piercing cold wind against my face was super uncomfortable. I immediately regretted not buying a $9.00 ski mask they had for sale at the front desk. It didn't destroy my experience, but it definitely put a hold on my maximum speed. I was able to hit 50/60MPH- exhilirating really... but not for too long before I began to feel numb on my lips and cheeks. If you're in Winter Park, this needs to be on your to do list! You won't regret it and I GAURENTEE you'll leave inspired!! read more

After a great snowmobiling adventure. It was then turned sour by an employee named Cory Burrows. Sent Cory a $7 tip and he called me out in front of the whole room, insinuating it wasn't enough. We have all worked in the service industry before. && mentioning that to a customer should be Unacceptable! That is a conversation for coworkers not customers, especially with tipping being common curtosy. My wife and I will never be back to this mountain after such a rude comment that could've been saved for after work. Extremely un-pleased with the comments from Cory Burrows. Our group of 6 had the best time on the Continental Divide tour even though the vis at the top was limited , it's was still all so beautiful !! The single track trails were so pretty and our guide Weekly , gave us interesting history tidbits about the entire trail !! On the Fraser Trail , our guide Daniel was also super !!! Grand Adventures Snowmobiling Guided Tour Booked a guided snowmobiling tour for 2/1/20 for a 8:45am time slot in Winter Park for my boyfriends birthday GPS said it was an hour and 26 minutes from our Airbnb in Denver We left our Airbnb at 6:45am We are not from here so we had no idea how bad the traffic would be and realized we wouldn't get there till 9:15am. I called grand adventures at 8:04am To let them know we wouldn't be there until 9:15am. Maddie told us that she would let the guide know and hopefully they would wait for us. She told me if we were too late and they left without us that there were two unguided tour spots that we could have and to keep on coming/driving out there and they would figure it out and get us taken care of. We get to the meeting spot for the guided tour at 9:15am and we see the guide and other people going on the tour still outside standing around. We go inside to check in and the lady working says we're too late and to go to there other location and get set up for the unguided tour. Her server was down so she couldn't book it for us or help. We get to the other location and speak with Maddie, the same person who we spoke with on the phone that told us to keep coming and that we would be taken care of and that there was two spots left for an unguided tour. Maddie changes her tune completely and tells us sorry they gave our two spots up for the unguided tour up to someone else. We ask if theres anything we can do such as reschedule for a later time same day, do another tour/experience, come back tomorrow or Monday before our vacation is over, get store credit, or any sort of refund. Maddie tells us no there's nothing we can do. AKA you just lost $233.52 on your boyfriends birthday, and wasted your time driving out here after she told us to keep coming and that we would be okay. We ask to speak with a manager and she tells us sorry there's no one else we can talk to about it and nothing we can do, that we're SOL. We tell our sister in law about the situation and she calls from Texas and is able to speak with a manager. After some time the manager agrees to let us reschedule to the next day but we would get upcharged 15%. We rescheduled for Sunday at 11:15am and had to pay $35.03 extra to reschedule. Making the whole experience $268.55. Sunday we left our Airbnb in Denver 7:45am and arrived to winter park around 9 something, I guess the traffic isn't as bad on Sunday's. We eat breakfast at this Crepes place not too far away then head over to the meeting spot for a guided snowmobiling tour early ahead of the meeting time around 10:45am and fill out the forms and put on our helmets and goggles. We did not go over snowmobile safety until 11:57am We did not check our snowmobile for previous damage until 12:12pm We did not take off on the snowmobiles until 12:23 I am writing the review because I do not understand why we were treated so poorly the first day. We were 30 minutes late due to unexpected bumper to bumper traffic... they don't even start safety review until 42 minutes after they say they will start. Why were we turned away and treated so unprofessionally? They were all still outside, why couldn't we put a helmet and goggles on really quick (we had all of our own snow gear) and jump in for the safety instructions (my boyfriend already knew how to drive and we were sharing one so I was going to sit in back). Why were we lied to on the phone about them having two unguided spots for us? Why wouldn't Maddie let us reschedule from the get go for 15% upcharge? Nothing makes sense and it was all handled poorly. Had they not turned us away completely and so coldly we wouldn't be nearly as upset. Had the tour we went on the next day started on time I would understand why we weren't able to go on the tour at 8:45am on Saturday (our original schedule tour) but now that we have done the tour and know they start extremely late, this is upsetting and makes no sense. The guided tours scenery was beautiful and we had a great guide. We still tipped our guide because he does not deserve to suffer because of Maddie's mistakes/unprofessionalism or the companies unfair policies. I do not recommend going through this company but if you decide to take your chance on them and are coming from Denver I would suggest leaving Denver 3 hours before your time slot (especially on a Saturday) and do the unguided tour. The guided tour had a lot of stops because a lot of people can't drive well or keep up. I hope this helps anyone going on vacation in Colorado. read more

Amazing! ... five stars++. Our group rode to near Corona Pass on the Continental Divide. The views were absolutely breathtaking! The snowmobiles were easy to drive and in excellent condition. Very disappointed with this company. 1. The snow mobile tour left 20 minutes late 2. The whole trail was surrounded by trees with very little sight seeing. 3. The guide ( a long red haired hippy dude)yelled at me for going too fast around a corner. Mind you, we never went above 25 MPH the entire trip. I wouldn't have taken it so personally since his job is to keep everyone safe but he crossed the line when he dropped an F bomb in front of my daughter while chastising me. 4. If you are 80 years old and you don't like your heart rate going above 80 bpm this is for you if not and you want some sights and a little safe adventure, look elsewhere. read more
