This was my very first time white water rafting and it was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, it was nothing but fun and excitement. Our guides kept the energy high with jokes, games, and tons of interesting information along the way--there truly wasn't a dull moment. We even got to stop at the hot springs, see some wildlife, and learn all about the area with very detailed but lighthearted explanations. The views were absolutely stunning, and the whole adventure felt scenic and refreshing. Jumping off the cliff was such a thrill too! I couldn't have asked for a better first rafting trip. We had a great time on the upper Colorado rafting with Kendell on a beautiful summer day in July. Our group of 11 was split between two boats 6-5 which was great when we decided to become a splashing "war boat" midway through the trip. Kendell provided lots of great commentary on the roughly 2-hour journey (about 5 miles on the river). As this was the family-friendly trip, things on the water were fairly tame and with low water levels it wasn't too much paddling-amusement park rides are much more aggressive-but we all had a great time nonetheless. If you are looking for an action-packed extreme rafting, this isn't it but if you want to have a fun time of the River, I highly recommend it. How it works: -meet at the starting point shelter, sign a waver, use the bathroom and get a briefing, get fitted with a life jacket (required) and grab an oar -ride a converted school bus for 30 minutes to the put-in spot on the River -listen to a safety briefing -15 min -load up and start floating/paddling -after around 2-hours on the river, disembark and hang out while they load up the rafts and people use the bathrooms -ride the same bus another30-40 minutes back to the starting point, decide if you want to purchase a photo (very pricey), then head out in your car -for us total time from start to finish when we left-around 4-1/2 hours. read more

Last Tuesday, my boyfriend and I took the Upper Colorado Rafting trip with Ben and had an amazing time. He gave great directions so we felt safe. On the bus ride to the place where we took the rafts out and throughout the time in the river, he gave us tons of funny stories and information about the areas we passed. We had a group of four moms, and six kids ages 5 to 8. You could call us "city folk", and we were excited, but a tad nervous about our river excursion out of Kremmling. Well, it ended up being the highlight of our vacation! We were on the river for about 2 hours, which was the perfect amount of time for the youngest. The rapids were exactly the right level for the whole family, and the kids loved the fact that they got to paddle. Our amazing guide, Elliott, was so kind and patient with the hundreds of questions our chatty kids and parents threw at him every other minute, and he gave great directions and narrative about the area we were rafting in. The booking process was easy, and when I called and spoke to Krista, she patiently and kindly asked every neurotic question I had. Kara was our bus tour guide on the way to the river, and her jokes and exposition rivaled the Disney Jungle Cruise (that's right, I said it). She was also amazing with all the kids. At one point, we stopped at a spot along the river that had the perfect depth and rock to jump off, and she offered to jump alongside a little girl who wanted to jump, but got nervous when the time came. Everyone was accommodating, safe, and patient. Biggest thanks to Elliott for making our trip so memorable! We'll be back- 10/10. read more

Such a fun time on the water! Our boat guide, Emily, was super cool and made it so much fun with all the stories and jokes. Absolutely loved the optional cliff jumping!!! The process to get into the water was the reason I'm only docking a star. It could have been faster and more efficient, such as by signing waivers as you check in or going over the safety talk on the bus ride over. Great work overall by the whole team by making it a safe and fun experience! read more

I wish we had done the full day trip. If I had to find 1 thing that needed improvement, I would say that I would have like the photo package to have more pictures of our trip, and less of the stock pictures they included. We went on 2 adventures with MAD adventures. We first went on the Upper Colorado with Allison and Joe. The river was beautiful. Both guides were fun, knowledgeable, and very attentive. You could truly see that they loved their jobs and wanted to share their experiences with others. The next day we took the side by side 4x4's up the Continental with Will out of Winter Park. The cars were great! Although the clouds had come over the mountain by the time we made it up to the top, it was amazing. We went back down to the sunshine and had a picnic overlooking the valley. We did the snowmobile tour on 5th Jan 2020 at 1130am. Weather was perfect sunny and visibility was great. First time riding these devices and it's no rocket science, super easy and intuitive. After initial paperwork and waivers our guide Olivia (super friendly and enthusiastic) gave the operating instructions and safety procedures (~10 min) and we were good to go. The tour was 2 hours long and I definitely recommend these guys. View was breathtaking and stunning all the way. A must do. read more

First time in Winter Park, CO and it definitely doesn't disappoint! Was recommended to give Mad Adventures in Idaho Springs a try for a rafting rush. This was nothing short of a f*ckin blast. We took a 2 family trip to the upper Colorado with Laney. Our ages were from 4-yeah... lol! Out of the 8 of us only 2 had rafted, we all had a lot of fun, and enjoyed the trip! She was a super awesome guide and was very knowledgeable about the area and told us a lot of fun facts and jokes! We thought the trip might be pretty boring since you could take kids that young but it wasn't at all. We went on the Clear Creek white water rafting adventure with Joe. We had the best time! The water level of the river was very low but Joe made sure we had the greatest time, felt safe and had a blast!
