We felt supported and in good hands; that feeling was consistent throughout the planning process as I planned our wedding (without planner) and had many questions to ask Janene along the way. Amy was super hands-on for the day-of, making sure things went according to plan. She even made our rehearsal fun. The woman who was there to help, Anna, was not pleasant. She wanted concrete set ideas and told me, "My problem is you don't know what you want." This is only one of the other rude things I can name. I was standing there self soothing myself and at the same time feeling like I needed to use de-escalation skills that I teach at work. It seems all so ridiculous! As a business, wouldn't you think that a place would try to build rapport with you? Her tone was intense and did not fit the joyful energy I would want when planning for a wedding. I couldn't take it after a while. I am at least glad I made her aware that her tone was not appreciated and that I am leaving. Disappointing experience despite a fresh and new business relationship. We have used this catering…read morecompany for multiple corporate events and have spent considerable money with them. Historically, the food and service have been very good, which makes our experience with our most recent BBQ event particularly disappointing. The weather was questionable the morning of the event, so we understood the decision to precook the burgers and brats. However, the weather ultimately cooperated, and the event proceeded as planned. We specifically requested that we use at least one large gas grill we provided, even if only to keep the grill/char lines going, but that did not happen. The catering team arrived on time, but the setup was not completed as expected. Two chefs who had originally been scheduled to be onsite to cook the food ultimately spent much of the event standing around with very little involvement. More importantly, the food was served lukewarm to cold even though it arrived in hotboxes, and some food was undercooked/raw. The sternos were not lit until well after the food had been set up and less than 10 minutes before mealtime, which did little to address the temperature problem. For the price we paid, the quality of service and temperature of the food were simply not acceptable. I immediately raised my concerns with the event planner after the event. When I didn't receive a follow-up, I emailed to express our disappointment. To the event planner's credit, she responded and said the owner wanted to address the matter personally and would contact me after returning from out of town. That was over a month ago, and we have still received no communication. A coworker who also helps coordinate our company events separately contacted her point of contact at the company, but also received no response. What is most disappointing is not simply that one event did not meet expectations. We have been a significant repeat customer, and we expected our concerns to be acknowledged and addressed professionally. Instead, we received no follow-up at all. We have had good experiences with this caterer in the past, which is why this situation has been frustrating. Unfortunately, the combination of cold food, a lack of attention during the event, and zero follow-up afterward has made us decide to seek catering elsewhere for our corporate events.

The nozzles in the shower head were dirty and clogged, with only about 2/3 of the water coming out. Plus, streams were shooting off to the side, which sprayed outside of the shower even with the curtain pulled. There are sizable cracks along the shower stall and all along the walls throughout the entire room, and the ceiling looks a mess, too. A portion in the center of the room looks like it is about to collapse from water damage above. Panels from the blinds are missing. The carpeting is visibly stained and gross. The smell of people smoking weed throughout the entire 4th floor was enough to stink up my own room as if I were Grateful Dead show. And I woke up to rainwater pooling on the windowsill next to the bed. The $200-per-night cost is for the illusion of elegance, but the in-person ambiance has all the aesthetics of a Motel 6 experience.

She kept everything running smoothly, finalized venue setup while we were all in hair/makeup, and headed up the team effort to put out a rather large fire just before the ceremony, and kept the flames at bay during the reception. That last part was invaluable to me, as it was a worry throughout the planning year that came true, even though no one believed me it would.
